For Lack of a Better Word Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 something like this That was so sad it became funny But for me, at the concert itself I didn't actually cry. During Song Of the Century I got so overexcited and tingly inside, but on the outside I only showed it by screaming my lungs out. And then at TOYL, I may have got a bit teary. Being able to squeeze my best friend's hand was very helpful at those moments, I must say. No, at the concert itself I'm just too damn happy to cry. The real tears and realisation that it's actually over come afterwards. The day after my first Green Day gig I watched a video of She on YouTube, and Billie yelled "To smash the silence with the brick of self controol!!" and I cracked. Music can be such an emotional thing, it's unbelievable when you think about it.
Eighty. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. I really don't get why you would cry. It's supposed to be a happy moment. sure, one of the happiest moments! but at least I cry because of all the emotion and happiness I had inside xD sometimes is good have a good cry
LilithofSuburbia Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I teared up a little at Wembley. It was the first time i had cried in like a year.
Fuzz Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. I really don't get why you would cry. It's supposed to be a happy moment. I agree. I don't understand crying, never have done it. I get excited and get that sense of "*deep breath* this is awesome", but never to the point of tears. Guess i'm just not that emotional.
GenerationZer0 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 something like this lmao Well I'm going to hell for laughing at that.
Tre_Gina Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Music can be such an emotional thing, it's unbelievable when you think about it. THIS! when you think that watching them on you tube makes us cry
Eighty. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Well I'm going to hell for laughing at that. no, no. that is nothing compared to the majority of the videos I have seen xD
November's Storms Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I always cry during 21stCB when they come out first. Cries of happiness/ecstasy! When they play Welcome to Paradise and Jesus of Suburbia I well up too, mainly cos those songs mean so much to me And of course I cry at the acoustic encore
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Never actually cried... I just don't cry out of happiness, just can't. I get emotional, sure, but not crying. With songs like Jesus of Suburbia, I just get really, really into it, but it's nothing like crying or sadness or happiness...just strong emotions. I did cry without tears during the Septembers in Rotterdam, Pinkpop and Paris. At Pinkpop it was the closest to actual crying, but I just got wet eyes. So I guess my answer is nope, I didn't.
LinziLetterbomb Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 The first time i saw them last october i didn't cry, it was more a case of being like Oh wow i feel like i'm dreaming right now...however when i saw them in Manchester in June i was bawling my eyes out by the end! Such an amazing night and i got very emotional!
JadedHaushinka Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I cried during the encore when I knew the concert was going to end, when they left, when they played a song I really love.
amy_runs Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I cried after I took a picture with Billie before a Pinhead show. I was just so overwhelmed and happy and nervous and ah. I know it's not Green Day, but still
poisonoak Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 no ive never cried, but i do go through a period of post-concert depression though.
Jessayy Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 The first time i seen them i was so overwhelmed that i just cryed for the entire three hours on and off the man beside me (who looked like her was a fans friend, not a fan himself) just looked at me as if i was completely retarded or something I managed not to cry the second time i saw them though,
Holly Ann Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 My god yes. Especially at Birmingham last year. I absolutely bawled my eyes out for about 45 minutes. xD I was so emotional about that concert... I cried when I got the tickets. I cried most nights the week before. I cried before they came onstage. I cried when they left. I cried during Give Me Novacaine and Good Riddance and JOS. I cried in the car on the way home. I cried nights after the concert. fdksjfsdkljfdklsfjsdklfjsdklfjsdklfjsdklfjlsdfjsdlfj D: D: D: But for Manchester, I just had watery eyes. xD I cried when I got the tickets, though. /tit
Guest Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 i never thought i would, since this was my fourth time seeing them and i never cried before, but when i saw them on monday i bawled my eyes out for like, half the show. i'm pretty sure it was a combination of having no sleep in three days and being so tired, being so fucking hot, not having any water, not being able to breathe, etc...plus they played give me novacaine which made me pretty much totally lose it, haha.

Tubbie Head Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Oh of course I did xD But that's nothing I didn't expect to do.
Pedestrian9394 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 i never thought i would, since this was my fourth time seeing them and i never cried before, but when i saw them on monday i bawled my eyes out for like, half the show. i'm pretty sure it was a combination of having no sleep in three days and being so tired, being so fucking hot, not having any water, not being able to breathe, etc...plus they played give me novacaine which made me pretty much totally lose it, haha. That's because it was a completely effing awesome show! =D
FannyDefoe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I am far from an emotional person....i KNEW i wouldn't be the only one haha...but when you've waited 5 years or so since the last time you saw them it IS overwhelming. But when you do it every show you know theres something wrong haha...everytime Song of the Century starts thats when I start...I need a slap normally I'm not that emotional, too ... but I don't know what it is about them... those are happy tears XD
Mrs.Kerplunk Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 uhm yes lol. i cried during good riddance cos i knew the concerts gonna end very soon. and i cried days after the concert (+ during every video i saw back then) cos i wanted to go back so bad.
ColetteCool Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Yes! I cried during the August 5th show in New York. I cried when we got the tickets, and then I cried during 21 Guns and during Good Riddance. There was a security lady who looked like she was going to ask if I was okay, but I didn't want to be talked to so I went back to fist pumping XD
Smoothed Out Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 omg it's a necessary for me when I'm there, when they come on, 21 Guns (beginning, piano solo), Jesus of Suburbia (the end, I don't feel any shame), When It's Time, WMUWSE, Time of your Life (naturally) and the fireworks at the end. I basically blub all the way through.
