-Billiejoezee- Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I hate it that green day gives me hard cases of Post concert depression.
final remedy Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What first came to my mind: All those "hey oh's" during the concerts but I guess we would miss something without them haha
1039slappygirl Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I don't like the fact they exclude some countries of their tours, like mine, for example

Hermione Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 What first came to my mind: All those "hey oh's" during the concerts but I guess we would miss something without them haha I think we would too . Imagine if he just stopped doing them, it'd be rubbish! Especially if you were right up in the seats or near the back. The hey-ohhs mean everyone can feel involved with the show together.

dawn71 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I can't believe there's a thread like this on a Green Day fan site. Green Day loves their fans. They have always been super nice to their fans even when they are tired & may not feel like signing autographs & taking pictures with us fans, but they do. They go out of their way to let us fans know how much they appreciate us. I have never heard them tell us fans what they don't like about us, & I'm sure that some fans get on their nerves but they always act gracious even when some fans over step certain boundaries. I myself just don't feel right discussing negative things about Green Day. I am thankful for them and all that they do. Green Day are only human just like the rest of us and no one is perfect. We all have our moments and make mistakes. I just don't think it's fair to rub it in their face, even if it's all in fun. Green Day has always been good to their fans and they have given us so much. They have helped me with their music so much in my life. When I met Billie Joe and got to talk with him for a while. I found him to be a down to earth cool person. He was so nice he didn't rush off he took his time and talked with me and seemed very interested in what I had to say. He didn't act like he was too famous to be bothered with me. He was an amazing person. I have never met Tre' or Mike but I am sure they are just as nice as Billie. As much as we'd all like to think they are some kind of gods, their not they are human just like the rest of us and they are not perfect. Green Day has given all of us so much and never asked us for anything. I love Green Day for everything that they are.

But I think this thread is more of a light-hearted joking kinda thing. Like the 'not coming to my country' and 'taking forever to put out albums' kinda disliking. It's all cool.

But I think this thread is more of a light-hearted joking kinda thing. Like the 'not coming to my country' and 'taking forever to put out albums' kinda disliking. It's all cool. I agree. I mean, we're obviously here because we all love Green Day, same as everyone. No one's saying that Green Day sucks or anything like that on this thread. We're not here laughing at them for being stupid. And from what I've read most of them ARE jokey things like you pointed out. No one's hating on Green Day here. Even though we love the band, there may BE somethings we don't love as much as others. It's not like someone is seriously putting down the band because they say something like, 'I don't like it when Billie puts on too much eyeliner' or something like that. Just saying, y'know. We all know how much Green Day loves us and how generally awesome they are.

Mar Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 When they play like 10 rare songs at some concerts while other gigs get none. Yes.. every concert is special bla bla bla but it just bothers me. I'm happy the day this tour ends. I've noticed this happens a lot, yeah. i just thought of another thing: i don't like the fact that they COMPLETELY skipped ohio on the tour. grrr. I heard that. Not the band's fault, but wow, does it piss me off. TWICE we've been skipped. I hate it that green day gives me hard cases of Post concert depression. So true. And you experience HORRIBLE depression when you have to miss a show.
SOMERTEN Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 *His name is Billie. Yes I know but a mate dared me to spell it wrong because he was sure that would be the only point that would get a response. Sadly he was right.
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Yes I know but a mate dared me to spell it wrong because he was sure that would be the only point that would get a response. Sadly he was right. Well sorry but that was the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post. But okay, about new live-footage I have to say, that they have/had soo much going on with their music, like the musical, green day rockband and they were still on tour. I think it wouldn't be that clever to release another CD/DVD at this time. But their South-Amercia Tour is almost over and they're going to release a new live CD and hopefully a DVD too. And yeah the long pause between American Idiot and 21st Century BD kinda sucked, but it was worth it. Green Day likes challenging theirselfs musically and lyrically. They want to make the best possible album they can. They ARE working hard and long so yeah it does take a while to write another masterpiece. But umm yes I have to agree with another FBHT tour and HLAHG
Tripe Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Yes I know but a mate dared me to spell it wrong because he was sure that would be the only point that would get a response. Sadly he was right. Ha! Didn't even notice it! ...and in response to the post above, I don't think it's disrespectful for us to air our little bothers about the band and some of the stuff we don't like. Blind adoration is just not my thing, no matter how much I love this band. I enjoy debating some of the issues that make people crazy as well as ranting a bit about this tour not coming to Ohio, etc. I love my husband dearly and think he's pretty awesome, but that doesn't mean he doesn't annoy me with dirty socks everywhere and snoring in the middle of the night. It doesn't make me love him any less!
Green Day Dookie Dude Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I love Green Day but heres something: -Billie gets too much attention and everyone forgets about Mike and Tre. I mean come on, they're both awesome and the band is called Green Day not Billie Joe and co. (I also hate it when those articles call Green Day that) - Mike's Basslines aren't as good as they where doing the 90s (We want to hear more Mike Dirnt styled bass) - Shitty bands they tour with (Not all but some) and thats it
Guest EDIT Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 These are in miscellaneous order by the way. 1. Tre's foolishness too constant, everyone likes to have fun, but he is NEVER serious. 2. The eyeliner thing does not bother me, and I think it looks cool on them I guess, but it's hard to put up with people calling them emo fags so I would rather they didn't wear it. 3. They lie to us about Cigarettes and Valentines and The Network. 4. 21st Century Breakdown took forever and was a letdown. 5. Awesome As Fuck was poorly edited and odd location. 6. I wish they would release more live recordings. It's nice to have soundboard official recordings instead of bootlegs all the time. I mean they should maybe put them up for download on their web page or myspace instead of putting 1-3 really cool ones on an expensive single. 7. I thought the whole Broadway thing was a pretty stupid decision. 8. This is more MTV's fault but they never replay any of those historic MTV specials like Jaded in Chicago, Live Without Warning, Bottom of the Hill, storytellers, world stage, etc. I would absolutely be in heaven if they released them on dvd or at least iTunes, I think they would make a lot of money if they made somethings like a box set. Similar to the vinyl box set, they could make a limited collector's edition 15CD set or something of all the archive GD live recordings. Maybe with a bonus dvd or something. I think that would be VERY cool!

I agree, I don't see the point of it either 8.AGREED BIG TIME!

koolkev Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 This one. Yeah. I'm in the Bay Area, but feel bad for people who miss out. Otherwise, not much
Ohh_Mike Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 that mike is married and that they dont come to australia enough
Satan Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Ugh, I too miss Mike's more badass basslines. i miss this too. Things i don't like: -billie is too anti-technology -tre's personality gets to me sometimes -billie's inability to make a sentence without 'y'know' -the fact that they're mortal -i miss their shenanigans during interviews and whatnot way back in the day....
