Nele Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I know what you mean. I was really disappointed they didn't play any rare song in Berlin, when I first saw them. But then, after Mainz I can't be mad or jealous of anything I'll alaways be jealous or mad.. so yeah.
ganis Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 The only real issue I have is that Tre and Mike, especially Mike gets way to little attention (I know I'm repeating what so many ppla already has said).. ´But I do love Green Day and nothing can change that.!
Red Lights Flash Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Hmmm.. Let's think. Musically, they should probably know their limits a little more for eg the piano parts. Many musicians will agree that their piano parts sound really 'empty' (eg ¡viva la gloria!). Others might not mind too much but it really bothers me - power chords work really well for guitar but eh, a piano doesn't have an overdrive button, you know? Promotion for 21stCB sucked big time - but I'm not sure if that counts as something that's not to like about Green Day. Oh and it takes them a long, long time to write albums. EDIT: don't kill me, but I had to add it. 21stCB didn't really exceed my expectations.
StevieT Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I kinda dislike how they don't majory change the setlist I no people say don't change something if it works but the shows in this tour are based around the AI tour if you know what I mean.
Green Day Dookie Dude Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I really can't think of much. A few things would be billie gets almost all the credit, I hate some of the bands they tour with ( paramore, billy talent ect ) I like blink 182 and AFI though, MIKES BASS where have all the bass lines gone.
Bubbles. Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I dislike the fact that they haven't toured with Blink-182 again. IT.MUST.HAPPEN.
Green Day Dookie Dude Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I dislike the fact that they haven't toured with Blink-182 again. IT.MUST.HAPPEN. Yeah, Green Day and Blink 182 together would be cool again it was only the pop disasster ( my spelling sucks ass ) they toured
Schlappy Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 The crazy prices for anything but lawn tickets to a show. You know how frustrating it is when you can't go to a show that's half an hour away from your house because you don't have enough money? I suppose that's not the band's fault, they have to make their money somehow... I actually like the new look, you know, the guyliner and leather jackets and stuff... I don't like how 21st Century Breakdown got such shitty promotion, because it's actually a great album - one of Green Day's best in my opinion - but it didn't get that great sales because of the promotion. It could have done SO much better. It got good promotion in the early days, but it got shoved in the background somehow... I don't really like the idea of the musical either. . . I mean, it's a good way for them to expand as musicians, but I would have preferred a movie version, instead of Broadway. I mean, it's just giving haters more substance. 21st CB singles could have done better - especially EAST JESUS NOWHERE. WHYY didn't it get a proper release and video? And also, to the people who're saying they should change up their shows a bit, I like that it's essentially the same because I'd KILL to see the stuff that they do every show in person. I think they do it for the people whose first shows they are. Because say you've watched indecent amounts of shows on youtube, and you FINALLY get to go to a show and then they DON'T do something that you were looking forward to them doing so bad, you know? So I actually like that. EDIT: I also think that Mike and Tre should get some more mic time in interviews. Billie talks too much, even though he has no idea what he's saying most of the time And in the newer albums (I know I'm repeating a lot of people) Mike's basslines aren't as prominent. yeah tickets are expensive but compared to other bands they arent really. its a pretty good deal. and i love the new look too! ties and suits all the way . and yes i agree with the 21stCB part to! i fricken love that album! but not many people agree... im not really a fan or the musical either but im really glad they did it actually. i think its pretty cool and who cares what the fuck the haters say? they shouldnt dictate what the band should do. im happy green day pisses them off billie does talk a lot but he does give good answers. but yeah i agree mike and tre should talk more but im not saying its because they dont get the chance, i think they just dont want to sometimes

That's true. Yeah, Billie does give good answers (and I love it when he rambles a little bit, it's cute ), but I like Mike and Tre talking because they give a different view, because with the amount that Billie talks, and the usually boring and repetitive questions of interviewers, you sort of know what he's going to say, more or less.
Schlappy Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Yeah, I know the prices are pretty good, but still not good enough for me I know, 21stCB is an amazing album, I don't know why people hate it so much. St3veHimself Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I don't like how they've skipped a Cleveland show the last two years. Rock and Roll was born here!
JadedHaushinka Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 When they play like 10 rare songs at some concerts while other gigs get none. Yes.. every concert is special bla bla bla but it just bothers me. I'm happy the day this tour ends. Indeed agreed.. I was hoping we'd get some rare songs since they hadn't been to Finland in 15 years but we got a set list that did not have any rare songs.
Nimrod99 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I agree with a lot of the stuff that has been said. I wish that they would bring back a lot of t-shirt designs that were pre AI (I miss the older designs and I'm not too thrilled with a lot of the current designs). I do have to add a positive note here. I am SO glad that there weren't as many over the top teenies at the Seattle show I went to. The teenies were horrible during the Ai tour (no offense to anyone here if they were one of those teenies). I guess sometimes the fans can be a little embarrassing to me. I really don't want to hear all the dirty things that someone wants to do to someone else. Especially when I'm standing next to my dad (he likes Green Day and goes to all the shows with me). I do wish Green Day would ditch the pyro's though, they really don't need them (and the fact that I practically shit myself the very first time it happened). My first show was in 1995 (and I'm not being all show-offish about it) and the last show I went to was in 2009, and I'm suprised that they didn't come to Portland OR at all this time around (and a couple of the radio station DJ's even complained about it lol). Other than that I don't have any real complaints.
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 yeah the interviewers questions are usually boring and repetitive... billie says simple things with big words and lots of sayings and analogies. you can tell hes a song writer They almost never ask anything interesting. Haha, yeah. He tends to make simple answers slightly long-winded. But that's why we love him
Schlappy Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 They almost never ask anything interesting. Haha, yeah. He tends to make simple answers slightly long-winded. But that's why we love him yeah they always ask like was it hard to make 21stCB cause american idiot set the bar so high? then billie says we always challenge ourselves and strive harder to make the greatest album we possibly can ect ect. if i was mike and tre and i was asked that kind of question id be like billie you go this
21st century idiot Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Yeah, Green Day and Blink 182 together would be cool again it was only the pop disasster ( my spelling sucks ass ) they toured i would go to every show on that tour
Punk-tastic32 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yeah, Green Day and Blink 182 together would be cool again it was only the pop disasster ( my spelling sucks ass ) they toured HELL YES! I will sell almost everything I own so I can follow them around. I'll buy a skateboard and tail grab my way across the US!
jensername Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 The fact that they live so far away from me is something I don't like. And..that's pretty much the only thing I can think of.
fadi_7 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 nothing really i love them the way they are cause nobody's perfect
GreeN_DaY_4_EveR Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I don't really like that the haven't come in Greece yet. For some of you may be a shitty reason but for Greek fans it's really important! About the eyeliner...There are many bands who use this and one of them are Green Day. I don't find something bad on this and it noone can say that they "gay" because of the eyeliner.
Leisha-LUNA Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I do wish Green Day would ditch the pyro's though, they really don't need them (and the fact that I practically shit myself the very first time it happened). But I love the pyro! Like in Holiday with the BANG BANG. I get so disappointed listening to the album version, or even the Bullet in a Bible one, when that pyro doesn't happen.

Jaymee!! Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Nooo way man! The pyro is definitely not overdone. I love it, it's a little adrenaline rush every time it goes off! One thing I find that bothers me a tad is Billie's whole technology speech before Static Age, telling people to get off their cell phones and computers etc...yet there he is using something as trivial as Twitter. Just kinda puzzles me a bit that he could be that hypocritical. Obviously it's not affecting my life in any way, but I've always thought about that.
Opezi Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 When they play like 10 rare songs at some concerts while other gigs get none. Yes.. every concert is special bla bla bla but it just bothers me. I'm happy the day this tour ends. ugh. i agree. i wanted them to play Paper Lanterns at my gig. so i guess that bothers me. uhm. i dont know... not much from Green Day bothers me.
Punk-tastic32 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I LOVE THE PYRO! I actually want more of it lol. But I don't like how they didn't have any big screens at the concert that I went to. I had forgotten my glasses (idiot, I know- but they're not too strong) AND I was behind a really tall guy. I'm not short, but this guy was HUGE! I didn't really see any of the stage antics until I watched videos later and I was "yeah, I remember that part" or "Ohhh.. that's what happened!" Kinda sad. But I still had an awesome time
