What are things about Green Day that you don't like?

I didn't start an argument.... I expressed MY opinion, and was told I was full of shit. I haven't attacked anybody, in any way, at all...... Yet, I've had my intelligence, my integrity, my honesty, my age and my opinion attacked, repeatedly..... It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I look online and see that the show last night was the same as the show two weeks ago... It has more to do that I GO to a show and it was (basically) the same show I saw 5 years ago........ As far as the "banter" goes, at least. But as I said from the get-go, it's STILL the BEST live show in the business. I just wish it was a little less scripted and a little more spontaneous.

This, exactly. The set lists change from show to show. And the set list isn't what I have a problem with. It's more the structure of the show. I can guarantee you that they're gonna come out and play about 45 minutes of new material. After that, they make the transition to a combination of older songs, while pulling people onstage for various songs (knowledge, longview, JOS, etc....) somebody gets to use the super soaker, then it's time to break out the TP blower/T-shirt gun, BJ is going to have some kid stage dive, and then they finish up with the older material. Now it's time for the encore, which usually consists of 3-5 songs, and then the second encore is BJ finishing up some acoustic. It was the same way last year, it was the same the year before that, it was the same for the AI tour, and it was the same in 2001...

I mean, who here has ever seen BJ down a bottle of Boones in the middle of a song? Who has heard Mike talk about wearing a cock ring to the show? Who has been invited to the after party? I have, and it was in 1995.

It seems that you completely ignored the part where I said the songs of choice aren't the problem.........

Look, I know it can come off as I'm tooting my own horn here. But I'm not making a big stink about the fact that I have seen them since '95. I'm simply stating a fact..... The point is, I have a little more that I am basing my opinion off of. If that offends you, it's your problem, not mine.

It's really pretty easy to understand..... we were talking about "spontaneous" factors of GD shows.

The things I posted were spontaneous, repeating the same lines night after night, tour after tour, for years on end..... Are not.

I have to agree with the people that said that Mike and Tre don't really get enough attention.

I remember seeing an issue of some magazine, where they were talking about the artists of the century or something, and they had Green Day. Oh wait, they didn't have Green Day, they had just Billie Joe.

Someone mentioned it earlier, and it's totally a trivial thing, but I also don't like Billie with blonde hair. I don't know, I just don't like it. I vastly prefer the black. I don't care all that much, but it is something I don't like.

It makes me cringe to hear someone use the word "retard" to refer to an unintelligent person. It's one of those slurs that I hope will go the way of many other unacceptable slurs with time and understanding. I hear people use it often; people who I would bet have thrown it out carelessly and really mean no harm, but I think it's a toxic term nonetheless. 'nuff said....

Now, back on track. I am a long time fan and I've always felt that Billie doesn't really have a great rock star scream. You know, in the middle of songs, when he throws one out, it just leaves me flat. Love his voice otherwise and he'll always be a rock star to me, but he needs to work on that scream... anyone else agree?
