Tubbie Head Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I wish I was American so I actually knew what he was talking about lol me too
Rosie May Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 photos of himself maybe...? it's too easy to imagine that... Green Day and American Football, they should have played Nice guys finish last trying to copy their own music video. that would have been so cool! "they wear black",
lizziebix Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 love how he talks about the Jets thing so casually, like oooh yeah that was fun Haha this! Like it was nothing I know. I just imagine him shrugging his shoulders and thinking, yeah that was fun, so what's next? Like it happens everyday of his life. Which I guess he does have some amazing experiences - but never a halftime show before. I don't think he's jaded, just casual as you said.
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Poor Jason I can totally imagine Billie giggling while tweeting that pic Yeeeeah, we want Billie to become a camwhore Yeah get one of tre on the can.
The Snark Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Oh no I just imagined him, like, making photos of himself along with tweets like "Look at mah new hair!!!" OMG And he'd be posing all Myspace-like...
Hermione Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 LOL I remember an old interview where Billie was talking about the Raiders and saying how cool their black and silver uniforms are. Obviously he's still enjoying their snazzy outfits
lawrahday Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 LOL I remember an old interview where Billie was talking about the Raiders and saying how cool their black and silver uniforms are. Obviously he's still enjoying their snazzy outfits ooo d'you know which interview?
PeaceMucker Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 All the guys in the band are Raiders fans. I think it mainly has to do with supporting the hometown team. But I know Tre's actually a big time Raider supporter. I've seen him at games before. Just one more reason to love this band.
jello4president Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 "Well the Jets football thing was fun. Although my allegiance is always w the Raiders. They wear black!" a man after my own heart... wow that didn't sound creepy or anything....
Hermione Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 ooo d'you know which interview? Found it! It's from Sports Illustrated so the whole thing's about sport, pretty cool: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/richard_deitsch/09/08/qa.green.day/index.html Here's the quote: SI: Do you any similarities between your music and the outlaw image of the Raiders? Armstrong: I would definitely say the Oakland Raiders are the punk rock band of football. I don't think there's an NFL player that honestly couldn't say I would look really good wearing silver and black. Even when Jerry Rice came over, he just looked good. There was a sense of pride about him. It was like, 'F*** yeah, I'm wearing the silver and black'.
Demented or Disturbed Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I love how he only uses an exclamation point when he says that the raiders wear black also my socials teacher was talking about an episode from shaq vs. I was trying so hard not to laugh the entire time
*Maria_Laura* Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 It's almost like "well I kinda have to say it was fun, y'know, BUT" lol it is almost like that xD
Punk-tastic32 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 love how he talks about the Jets thing so casually, like oooh yeah that was fun Haha yeah. Most people are like OMGOMGOMG! I get watch football AND Green Day! WOOOO!! Well, at least I would be. Green Day and American Football, they should have played Nice guys finish last trying to copy their own music video. YES! I wanna be the person that tackles Billie. Ok, so it was a gut in the video, minor details people, minor detail. This'll make my dad's year. He is an avid raider fan. Rrrrrraiders! haha Hey Billie, the Steelers wear black too :eyebrow:
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 *Goes In* Oakland Raiders FTW. *Goes out* Hahaha but seriously.. i just imagined billie with a bored face on and saying it was fun. When he didnt mean it.
Mar Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 "They were black" made me laugh so hardcore. I imagined him saying it like a teenage girl. Then again, I picture Billie acting like a teenage girl on a regular basis.
clairemarie Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Though I must admit, when I watch sports with my dad or brother I say I want that team to win because they are wearing cool looking uniforms. You are so not the only one. They always look at me and ask who I'm rooting for and I always go, hmm, so and so looks better. There's no harm in that! Thats why I like the Bengals, cause I think their uniforms are kickass. Either that or I just root for any team from San Francisco. I despise the Raiders oh-so very much mostly because the people who Ive met that are fans of them I simply can not stand. I know, I know, you can kill me, but at least im being honest.
