BigYellowTaxi Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Oh def the electric from Bullet In a Bible. I have yet to still master the solo in the elec. version.
Bastard of 1967 Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 A hard one, but I have to go for acoustic, especially the (MTV World Stage: ) Munich show version. The enhanced picking beginning (he slides more notes there), the solo, and the rampaging strumming ...<3 That's probably *the* best live performance of Good Riddance that I've ever seen.
FannyDefoe Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 acoustic. but only when he does the solo. yknow what i mean? <3 wub: love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCdzRdg97Cg me too
Holly Ann Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Electric. That little solo/instrumental part in BIAB is my favourite piece of music in the whole word. I don't even know why...
Marlon_GD Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCdzRdg97Cg Yes, I meant this one... just pure <3-ness
ScreamsInSilence815 Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Definitely the acoustic. There's just something about Billie picking up the acoustic and...Idek. There's just this feeling that comes over the audience that I can't describe. /cheese
Maddy. Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I thoroughly prefer the electric version. The end of Bullet in a Bible is just amazing, I really tear up every time. It's beautifully played and it's the perfext ending to a show. The acoustic is almost boring, I can barely listen to it. The electric version has more life to it, I think, so that makes it more enjoyable to me.
Lu_S Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Acoustic, it let the song more special and intimate.
EuropeanIdiot Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Oh dear. Uhm... I think I would have to go with the acoustic version. Not that I don't like the electric version, because I prefer their hardcore stuff, but I think the electric guitar takes something away from this song. Uhm... like, both are amazing, but I think the acoustic guitar just... fits. <3
Katarina. Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Right now I'd say acoustic. The super fast strumming and that solo he plays at the shows these days.. Ah, just  Memories.
Guest Whatsername95 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Hmm.. I love both versions, but I prefer the acoustic version. It reminds me of the awesome concerts I've been to .
rebellionaire8 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I just think the electric version in bullet in a bible is amazing and the perfect way to close out the set. I honestly just prefer him with an electric over an acoustic, but that's just me
CoreyGregory Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I personally don't like that song. But I guess I respect the acoustic one more because it is more experimental for a Green Day song.
JT of Suburbia Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 electric i do like acoustic but 1st time i saw bullet in a bible version i was amazed XD
Chad is Rad Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I really like the acoustic one, with his little solo thrown into it. It blew my mind.
Heather! Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hmmm, I don't really know which I like better. When it comes to the recorded versions, I really love the one off of the Brainstew/Jaded single. Maybe I've just heard the version from Nimrod too often, but I prefer the tone of the single.
ifmemoryserves Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I think Electric. When I first heard it live I was amazed. It was such a difference from the studio version.
Polly1987 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Definitely the acoustic version. I could always cry when I hear the song.
GloriasInferno Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Acoustic it's so beautiful.. but the electric version also is really powerful and just makes it a little bit better to me. So yeah, electric. But I love acoustic too.
Pedestrian9394 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I think the electric version sounds really good, but there's something....sentimental about seeing them play it acoustic in concert. I was really hoping they would when I saw them in Georgia, and luckily they did. =D It was beautiful to hear it the way it was originally recorded. I think some songs are meant to be left one way and not tampered with, and Good Riddance is one of them for me.
