Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 sorry they are so small I was trying to get all angles of the shirts without taking up 2 pages. I see... but I think links would be handier then, indeed. Now you can't really see what exactly is on the shirt. Or even better, make the pictures the links.
mallorymaloney Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've seen shirts like these on eBay and Etsy for years and many times before, but your designs are probably the best I've come across, as everything looks really well stitched and sturdy and well thought out. Loads of DIYers don't realise that unless you only intend to wear a homemade item once, you can't just quickly and lazily slap it together. It takes a shitload of careful work, and your designs all show signs of this. With that said, ignore idiots who tell you your designs are 'cheezy'. ((Whatever the fuck that means. In my opinion, when I think 'cheezy', I think macaroni and cheese, which in turn makes me think 'yummy' --- So many 'cheezy' is a good thing?)) They're absolutely amazing, as are your sewing skills. Keep at it and let me know when you open an online shop, because I'd definitely consider buying a piece or two!
Carnation Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 The designs are amazing! I would definitely buy. It's really nice knowing the fact that you took the time to assemble these. ^And I totally agree with what was said earlier; I've come across a ton of Green Day apparel, and I'd have to say that your set is very impressive, in my opinion.
Punk-tastic32 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Love the 2nd one! God, I really gotta start saving my money up again
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Here are more Green Day custom tops I just finished 1st one http://a.yfrog.com/img338/5294/smpicture010.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img24/6269/smpicture012.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img843/7990/smpicture0181.jpg 2nd one http://a.imageshack.us/img25/5512/smpicture007.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img440/6743/smpicture005.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img814/5376/smpicture019.jpg 3rd one http://a.imageshack.us/img248/686/smpicture004.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img440/6743/smpicture005.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img130/1904/smpicture006.jpg 4th one http://a.imageshack.us/img442/3324/smpicture001.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img3/4099/smpicture002.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img185/2290/smpicture003.jpg I THINK THEY'RE PRETTY AWESOME!!! REALLY! I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY ANY OF THEM!
Holly Ann Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 You'd probably do well, I love the first one. And I love the lacing on the back of one of the hoodies.
dawn71 Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 Thinking of making bottoms too? I could totally for pants with patches all over them! ^^ PS.- sorry if you've answered this question before I haven't started making those yet. They are still in the designing phase. I hope that I can start of those in Sept. sometime. I have so many tops to make right now for the concert in Dallas for the GDCers I am meeting up with and I am hoping to get some tops made to be given away on this site. I still need to speak to J'net and Andres about it. But once I get those items done I will start working on other custom made items.
Christie's_Blvd. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Personally, I like this second lot more (except the 21CB and AI tops in the other set) and both the AI tops made me so happy just to see that I can't imagine what it would be like to own them! I would totally go in for anything you do because you are majorly talented and this should definitely be a job for you (glad to see it's legal ). I was thinking of doing something like this on a much smaller, just a couple of bags. A 30STM bag for one friend, a Pink one for another and a Paramore top for myself for a concert (cos the merch is really bad) and I just want to know how best to go about it. Just get plain stuff and start afresh with stuff like patches and decoration? That's definitely what I'm doing with the top but if you've got any tips it would be really helpful. This stuff is so good.
MCC Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I adore your designs! I personally like them all the the 2nd and 4th ones from the second set are my favorites! I started dabbling in this same sort of thing a few months back but had to put it on hold due to family issues so seeing someone else doing the same sort of thing makes me happy. I love crafty creative stuff like this. Right now I am personally on a kick about painting converse style sneakers. Like a lot of others said, keep us posted on the online shop progress and I will definitely buy something once it is up and going. We are attending the same concert on the 26th and I was so glad to see that the Superpages.com center finally agreed to let you be in the pit.
.:Whatsername:. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I pretty much want one. They're awesome, and I haaaate wearing t-shirts, so I'd definintely buy any of the shirts you've made into tank tops or halters, especially because I hardly ever see official Green Day merch as a tank top or anything. Almost always t-shirts. And yours look really professional and nice, imo.
dawn71 Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 Hey, anyone here going to the Dallas concert that is going to be in the pitt, please message me, its important......
dawn71 Posted August 8, 2010 Author Posted August 8, 2010 Do you have more stuff in Ebay?? sorry no not right now, but I'll let you know when I get caught up with the ones I have to make for others. I talked to J'net about me sending her some shirts to give away on this site and she said that was a good idea. By the end of this month I'll be sending them to her to give away on this site so be on the look out for it.
