What has Green Day taught you?

Their music has taught me so much over the years. When I 1st saw Green Day live

was a life changing experience for me. You see I had always felt like a misfit in my teen

years well. I had friends from every clique but none that I fit right into. In my very late teens

my friend played Green Day for me. When I heard them it was like I found my little

nitch in this great big world that I had been lost in, Later that year I saw them live

for the very 1st time in 1991. That only confirmed what I had felt earlier but even

more so after that. They taught me not to care what others think and I could be

whom ever I wanted to be and it was ok. They also taught me not to take life so serious

and to lighten up and enjoy life because there are no guarantees for tomorrow. I have

been a Green Day fan for 19 yrs. When I got back from deployment and found

myself in a wheelchair and the outlook wasn't good. Green Day got me through

some very dark times I faced and continue daily to this day to face. Green

Day has meant a lot to me through most of my life. Their music has and still

inspires me.....
