Marie_GD Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 The Best Job would be their roadies, watch the show from the side of the stage.
Laura! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I think the hardest job would be the pyrotechnics team or the crew that sets the stage up.
Salmonator. Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 he second Justin Bieber would come on stage, I bet some of them bite as well.
Rosie May Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I think the hardest job would be the pyrotechnics team or the crew that sets the stage up. Especially when Tre's using the pyro to prank other bands It must be a real pain setting up the stage everyday and then having to take it down again, and then put it up, and take it down...
Nele Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Do they actually travel with the band, though? As far as I know, each venue has its own security guards. Yes, they got like 4-7 (maybe more) guards who always travel with them and then there are the ones from the venue. (Seriously, Billie Joe has this one security guard and all he does is moving the mic around.)
*Maria_Laura* Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I would be scared to death if I were a security guard for bieber. his fans are psychotic ! I was talking gd security , if I was offered a job for justin bieber security , I woudln't take it unless the pay is really good.
Last American Girl Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Security, naaah. That's why I'm doing a course in Live Sound and Event Production. Basically I'm a roadie in training.
Jaymee!! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I know for a fact that they have at least one guy at many shows. I've seen him in two or three recordings and he was at the show I went to. He's the guy that tells everybody to get their hands in the air before stage dives. Yeah that's Eddie. He's Billie's bodyguard and the Security Director.
Hermione Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 If we're talking about security that works for Green Day specifically and travels with them etc then fuck yes! Any job where you get to go on tour with Green Day would clearly be an amazing experience for a Green Day fan. I'd rather work in the wardrobe department though
Fuzz Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 yeah but for someone like me who is itching to leave the house , it is the best job i can think of besides doing green day podcasts but im pretty sure you don't get paid for it. $1,500 an episode. You know, baby stuff. Or you could just be a moderator here and make $500 a week like John.
GDM Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Did anyone see Arturo during the European shows? I didn't notice him on any of the videos or pictures of the tour, and he wasn't in NYC during the Hot Tubs. He was really nice, though he did look at me really mean in London... haha... I'd rather work in the wardrobe department though I wonder WHY Hermione? (Naked people, I'm going to guess...)
in_your_face Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Yeah that's Eddie. He's Billie's bodyguard and the Security Director. wow! he's damn lucky!
Jaymee!! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Did anyone see Arturo during the European shows? I didn't notice him on any of the videos or pictures of the tour, and he wasn't in NYC during the Hot Tubs. He was really nice, though he did look at me really mean in London... haha... Kerry asked Brian where Arturo was, since we didn't see him, and he said that they didn't need him for this tour wow! he's damn lucky! He's had the job at LEAST since the American Idiot era, if not longer.
keefe Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 My friend works security at a venue and he says it is a great but terrible job at times. He works at a small club and NOFX played there a few months ago, shit hit the fan and he was busy ALL night. His boss paid for the security's bar tab after that shift
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Who changed the thread title? I'd rather work in the wardrobe department though Hmm, sounds good....I'm in need of a job anyway.
Velocity Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I saw the thread title and thought I was hallucinating
in_your_face Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 He's had the job at LEAST since the American Idiot era, if not longer. holy shit!! i'd say he's the luckiest guy on the planet!
Jaymee!! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Well, those security guards DO molest people with their hands when pulling people out of the pit. When Eddie pulled the girl out of the pit for AWTW in Paris, the first thing he grabbed was her tit.
Leisha-LUNA Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I want the job of the girl who just runs on stage with the microphone stand or changes the microphone occasionally. I want it I say!
gdpony Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 lol at the title of this thread! hmm I guess I would rather be a roadie ... not in security.
cherrybomb! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Lol the tittle of this thread cheered me up before work I'd rather be a roadie than security,a lthough my cusion did it for reading and he said it was great especialy when he got to do it for metalica! my bf does music technology at collage, he wants to be a sound engenier or rodie for gigs, which i think would be awesome.
Rock'n'RollGirlfriend Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I want the job of the girl who just runs on stage with the microphone stand or changes the microphone occasionally. I want it I say! Hahahaha! I wanted that job too! xD
GDM Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Kerry asked Brian where Arturo was, since we didn't see him, and he said that they didn't need him for this tour He's had the job at LEAST since the American Idiot era, if not longer. Thanks, Jaymee! I wonder what's the difference between this tour and the others? There was some pretty big shows in Europe. Sounds like a cost-cutting measure, but I guess they have to do what they have to do. Probably means that we won't see him in North America, too. Sad, it would have been nice to say hello again.
Eighty. Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I don't like it, you almost can't watch the show, people is asking for water all the time, lol
