Hmmm....I wouldn't really do anything, I mean if someone offered the chance I'd take it, but... I deffinitely wouldn't go to extremes

I'd travel pretty far if there was a chance of meeting them, which would mean getting a credit card and some serious debt, cause meeting green day would be the most amazing experiance ever, but I deffinantly wouldn't go to extremes of stalking or killing people lol.

Break every bone in my body, nah that would be silly.. maybe just a few bones :)

Nothing. If I ever met them, it would be by sheer chance and dumb luck.

...she says after hopping into a taxi at 12.30am to go into Dublin on a wild goose chase to see if Green Day happened to be in Whelans after the Blondie show

I wouldn't do anything mad either, really. I mean ok, I did go into town that late on the night before Marlay Park to see if they really were there in Whelans; but I know that if I had seen them I probably wouldn't have even said anything to them.

When I was 17 I met Billie Joe by walking around Dublin all day to try and meet them because the band were in town playing at a festival I couldn't go to. And I felt like the luckiest person in the whole world because I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. But I don't even think that is very extreme. all I did was go over and say hello to him. I probably wouldn't do much more than that; I mean, it's enough for me just to see them in concert.

But I guess it's exciting just to chance your arm now and again ;)

I wouldn't do any too extreme things. Like, a few days ago I was talking to my mom about going to the Bay Area and visiting a few Green Day related places and such. Anyway my mom said that she'd go up to Billie Joe's house for a few minutes to look if he's there. I wouldn't do that.

I admit that I did walk around Hamburg a few hours the day before the concert and that I'm always secretely hoping that I'll randomly bump into them, never happened though. It's just luck if you meet them, not more. ^^

Well, if somebody'd call me and say "Hey I just spotted Green Day walking around town." I guess I'd be there in like one second.

 Technically, we didn't know where the fuck they were. So it would have been by pure dumb luck if we met them.

Well we thought they were in either Whelans or Vicar st....although can you imagine if we did see them? We'd just stand there and then walk away

I did the same in Paris, just walking around the most famous places the day before even their hotel where there were some security guys but nothing happened anyway :(

and when I went to the Bay area 1 year ago I was hoping I could meet them but I only saw them in concert which was great

^ Ahh, that girl's got her priorities straight! Wise girl. And it's true, you have two parents, but there's only one Green Day.

What I'd do......a lot. I can't think of much I wouldn't do

I did the same... well not really, since if I told that to my dad I'd be back home in no time, but I did look around hoping to see them wherever we went.

and apparently Adie and her and Billie's kids were in the Louvre the day before....I was at the Louvre the day before too D: Well, only in the gardens, not in the actual museum... and it's not Green Day either.... but still.

Yeah....but also I would have no idea what to say  Like, if you meet Billie, Mike or Tre you can do the whole I love your band thing. But if you meet Adrienne.....no idea xD I mean, I'd love to meet her (and not just because she's Billie's wife), but I'm drawing a blank on what to say.

Yup, exactly. You can persuade it till a certain point, but in the end it also comes down to luck.

Oh I would know, Adie for me is the example of a normal wife with a rock and roll life (LOL), I admire her too much the way she cares about the environment, NRDC, atomic garden, habitat for humanity and she helps too much Billie! I would not say this cause my english sucks and I'd be really nervous so I'll say oh I love you hair, can i have a picture with you?

and well, this has nothing in common with this thread xD

everything...really..I'd do everything except kill someone...I'd also stay for hours with a snake...(and snakes are my biggest fear!!!)

Waiting around after concerts is always a good idea

It's to be in the right place and at the right time

That's exactly it, it's all down to luck really. If I thought they were around in a public place I'd hang around and try to run into them probably, but I wouldn't want to invade their privacy, like I wouldn't wait around their houses or anything.

False.

You would gather the troops at 12:30am, call a taxi van, go to a pub where a lead told you they'd be, scope it out, discover they aren't there and feel lost. Then walk for half an hour to another potential spot, only to find it closed. And then even later find out that they were actually there, and not the original place.

WINNERS!

haha it kinda does. Lovely story, that was...

I wouldn't invade their privacy.

Like, when Green Day came to New Zealand I was sitting outside Vector Arena and someone told me what hotel they were staying at. Since it was SO fucking close (like a 1 minute walk) to the Arena it took a lot of self-control not to sit outside their hotel until they came out.

I would like to meet them by pure chance, or being at the right place at the right time. Or I would wait outside after the show to see them.

Yeah see, I'm not really about seeking them out. If I run into them somewhere, then I'd love every second. But hunting them down is just...wrong. It feels wrong to me.

I'm the same. I'm a firm believer that if I'm meant to meet them I will, and I'd rather not stalk them. I don't think I'm meant to meet Mike. But if it happens one day I'll be happy.

I admit that when I found out that Tre was in Perth a week before their show last year, I hung out in the city a lot more than I usually do. And when I was 14 I almost went to a shop that I knew Billie and Adie were at, and I cried when my Mum wouldn't let me.

But other than that, I don't go out of my way to try and meet them.

This philosophy is going quite well. last year I sat down in a random cafe at Melbourne airport, not realizing it was right next to international departures, and then I got to have a quick chat with Billie.

:)

Also, it avoids disappointment.

:o You got to chat with Billie? This is the first I've heard about it. Details woman, details!

But yeah, I'd rather meet them by chance rather than trying to force it. I mean, I loved going out in Ireland on that little run, but the whole time I felt awkward and uncomfortable. Especially once we got to the pub. I went to the bar and was JUST about to order a pint with Becki, and then Izzi ran up and said they weren't there and we left. I don't think I wouldn't felt as weird if I had actually been able to have a drink, but because we just went in and out was like ergh...bad conscience mojo. Like, seeing Tre in Paris threw me for a fucking loop. It was the first time I'd ever seen any of them NOT on stage and it completely froze me, I couldn't even snap a picture  But it was by surprise, and none of us (except dear old mummy :P) was expecting it, and that's what I liked about it.

It was very brief. Me, Sarah and Aska couldn't find our terminal so we just sat down in these random chairs. Looked up and saw the international departures sign. Then I felt bad cause I felt like an airport stalker. And we saw Arturo walk passed, then went "no it surely wasn't him. just some big dude."

then all of a sudden Aska jumps up and goes "Holy shit its Billie" and walks off. So there was Billie, Adie and the kids walking passed. And we just said hi and he was like "oh hey guys" and we thanked him for the shows and Aska thanked him for pulling her on stage and he was all "no worries" and Adie smiled at us and we wished them a pleasant flight haha.

then Tre walked passed with a body guard.

Then we saw Mike with Brittany and Brixton and I just completely froze. We wanted to leave, we all felt uncomfortable and like we were intruding but I could not pull myself away from Mike. So we just stood there silently while they walked passed. Me gaping like a freak haha.

We spoke to Jason White briefly too and just told him to have fun in New Zealand. and he asked how we were and yeah :) he was lovely.

You saw Tre?! I didn't know this either! hahaha tell me tell me :)
