Pink was playing in my town a few days ago and I live really near our local arena/stadium and could hear her singing on my balcony

I only waited for the cover 'cause I knew she was singing it at every show on her current tour, and I thought it was pretty sweet. She's got a great voice and in my opinion did justice to the song (well, she's obviously no Billie Joe, but you get what I'm saying). It sounds even better live than on a video

Yeah, I don't think there's really anything else to say about it. It was a really good cover, but Pink's persona still annoys the shit out of me. My aunts get mad at me when I say that since she can sing and all, but her original work just gets on my nerves. ANYWAYS, that's not what this is about. Well hey, it's cool that she likes Green Day and that she's paying homage to them. But, like I mentioned, it's her original work that annoys me (at least what's been on MTV). It's kind of like Christina Aguilera. She's got a killer voice, but her original music is shit. It was a good cover.

However I can see why some people don't think its that good, Its hardly amazing stuff, but I like it just because I like P!nk and Green Day, so

I fucking love Nana Kitade, and I went absolutely wild when I originally found out she had done a Green Day cover! Pink's version is pretty cool, too --- I've always been neutral on her as a singer.

And I happen to love Avril Lavigne and her Green Day covers, haha. Avril rocks!

She definatly added her own Pink flavor to it, which normally I really like, I hold Pink up as one of the better women on pop radio, but this left me just wishing it was GD playing it...Nothing special.

I really do like the arrangement though with My Generation. A little awkward but still creative.
