Goddamn, all these posts on here about GDC'ers being onstage brought tears to my eyes! They're so sweet!

I have to find a way to get onstage this year in Toronto. I have to! It would literally make my entire life, man.

I think I'm going to try a sign this time around ...

This thread makes me happy :) I love how many gdcers have been on stage with them and love hearing all the stories.

J'net you are seriously lucky XD

Yes, I know that :).

One more thing that made me SO happy about this:

The next day, when I decided to post about my on-stage experience on GDC, I got into the thread for this show and started reading all the posts from the night before during the show - just to catch up. I came upon this one from a certain **nobodylikesyou**:

BILLIE PULLED JNET UP TO DO THE SUPERSOAKER!!!

BILLIE PULLED JNET UP TO DO THE SUPERSOAKER!!!

And after that were so many posts of people who were excited for me. It's hard to express how wonderful that made me feel and how amazing it is to know that people were celebrating for me while I was standing on the stage with Green Day! This community just gives me the sweetest, warmest, fuzziest feeling (most of the time ).

<wipes tear from eye>

Yeah, I'm a sentimental fool, but it feels good!

And this reminds me of when Darren (NoVaCaInE!) got pulled up at Marlay Park this year. I was so excited for him, I just HAD to tweet! It's the first time I've ever tweeted during a show, but I knew people would want to know, so I just quickly tweeted, "Darren Longview!" I saw the next day that Beth got it :). Darren, that was SO awesome! I was yelling at all the people around me, "I KNOW HIM!!! HE'S MY FRIEND!!!" And they all got excited with me (which was really sweet, since they didn't even know me).

I really know that feeling too ! It wasn't like GDC, but in popular finnish photo gallery community site Irc-Galleria my profile got almost 4000 hits on that week when it was Green Day's gig in Helsinki. I got hundreds and hundreds of congratulation messages and on weekend I went to dance club near by, where all of my friends hang out for a weekends, everyone came up to me and said like: "SAMI, you were on stage with GREEN DAY and kissed BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG?!?!?!" and I was like "hehe, yes" and they were like "OMG THAT'S SO FREAKING COOOLL! WAS HE A GOOD KISSER??!?!" It was crazy, really! I work at amusement park in my hometown for this summer, and today I was driving ghost train, and one little teenage girl came there and asked "D-d-do you know Green Day?" I was like "yes I know". Then she got excited and was like: "W--W-Was it cool to be on stage??!?!" and I just smiled and answered: "yeah it was". It's still not getting old! That's really crazy, but it still makes me so happy  And it really makes me happy when people are so happy for me.

Not with Green Day, but I got on stage on the Foxboro show in Phoenix. Talked to Jason White. Yeah, it was the sheet.

I haven't even been to a GD concert. Which is very very sad

I checked my phone when I got back to Melanie's and there was a text from Beth saying "Yay for Longview!" and I told everyone that Beth texted me and I was like "how does she know?!?! :woot: " and they told me that you tweeted during the show and I couldnt beleive it!! Im so sad I didnt get to say goodbye to you that night though :(

this one has the whole performance

this one doesnt have the whole performance but it has good quality

this was my first green day concert and as soon as the song began he came right over to me and began to sing to me and he stared at me smiling and looking like he was going to laugh ( i could only imagine what i looked like) i just wanted him to at least touch my hand except for he motioned me forward. i then pointed at myself in disbelief and he nodded his head yes and still motioned me with his hand. i lost my left shoe when the bouncer got me and my jeans where falling down and my shirt was up to my neck when i was plopped on the stage. i had always thought that if i had ever got onstage with them i would like shit myself or pass out but i wasnt nervous at all they felt like my friends and i felt like we were just jamming like we were buddies. after the song was over he gave me a big ol kiss and i was just so shocked that it all just happened. i always wanted to get a green day song tattooed on myslef and in november im going to get the are we the waiting lyrics on my arm. green day has always been there for me and without them i would probably not be here right now. thank you green day. every song that they have ever written i can relate to in my life and they have always reminded me that im not alone.

congrats to everyone else who got onstage too!! green day loves their fans more than any other band on earth and thats why they have such a strong following is because they really love us and we really love them. I LOVE YOU GREEN DAY

Me too!

J'net the best thing was at the London O2 show with you last year, it was so funny and cool to see the band noticing and exchanging little looks with you because you were such a familiar face by that point :D. It was really sweet. I love the way they interact with their fans.

I do, too, Hermione. Especially when they're interacting with me :woot:. And I loved that show because I got to share it with you and Lydia. It was so awesome to be there on the rail with you. I hope you know I had already come to adore you from talking to you here, so just meeting you and sharing such a great show with you was an incredible treat !

Her name is Sara - she and I went to that show together, and she was standing next to me when she got pulled up. I was holding all her stuff ! She's the sweetest person I know, and I was SO happy for her!!!
