Moffie Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 2012 is a long ass time away Guess I better get ready to put this in the back of my mind, and forget all about it for a while. It's better than late 2004 to mid 2009. But who knows?
Shaekwon Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 It's better than late 2004 to mid 2010. But who knows? Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009.
Velocity Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 This is good news, but I'm not gonna get excited for another record for a while. I think 2012 is a good estimate for a new album. Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009. Those were some difficult times. D: But at least we had the Hot Tubs.

gdpony Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009. it did! and Im not expecting an album until late 2012 or 2013 .... nthis or next year impossible! though a Network or a FBHT album might be on its way! which makes the wait for the GD album worthwhile!
Velocity Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 You know who should fucking produce the next Green Day album? Rick Rubin. Holy shit would that be a feast. I was thinking that actually. Either Rubin or Rob Cavallo again. Butch Vig has produced some great albums but I think 21CB might have been slightly overproduced.
Moxy Crimefighter Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009. you have no idea. -_- You know who should fucking produce the next Green Day album? Rick Rubin. Holy shit would that be a feast. 1992: Sir Mix-a-Lot - Mack Daddy (exec.) 1994: Sir Mix-a-Lot - Chief Boot Knocka (exec.) 1996: Sir Mix-a-Lot - Return of the Bumpasaurus (exec.) The guy worked on Sir-Mix-Alot's albums. Therefore he needs to work on Green day's. I have the greatest mental imgae of Green day covering "baby got back" now.
Katarina. Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009. You don't want to know.. But we had the Foxies, and PHGP too I think. So at least there was some news, although not from the band itself. 2012 seems so far away, and I think it's too early to think about a new album anyway. I'll try to forget all this and enjoy 21CB and the rest of the albums, and hopefully time goes by fast till the new record comes out..
Hermione Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Isn't finding a producer something that happens really early on in the album making process, before you even start? And all they're doing so far is having a look around and thinking about it? This is cool to know but it doesn't make me think anything's coming sooner. Rick Rubin would be epic
Shaekwon Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 LMAO. Wasn't expecting so many replies to my comment. Kind of happy, I'm a new fan now.
Eighty. Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 it sounds really really good!! I need another European tour lol have a look at the pictures, I have never seen most of them
pisquano Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Good news...expecting something for late 2011 - mid 2012
Sheehan Rysa Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 2012 is a long ass time away Guess I better get ready to put this in the back of my mind, and forget all about it for a while. But what if the world ends ?!?!
east cc nowhere Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I won't try to get excited.. we all know that Billie, Mike and Tre are perfectionists.... so it might take another two years. I agree. unfortunately! I dont think they will be surrendering it anytime soon I really wish they would release all their demos, I would love to hear them
ihaveapenisbitch! Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I thought that was Butch Wig anyway, I hope for late 2010, early 2012 :/ ..yes it was *facepalm* ugh sorry brain farting like mad, bloody pneumonia. I'd go with 2012 its gonna be at least 10 - 24 months before we start to see anything from the new album.
Blu Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Haha, it must've sucked to be a hardcore GD fan during 2004 till about 2009. It very much so did suck. But what if the world ends ?!?! The world could end tomorrow for all we know. Oh well. We won't be around to care once it ends.
matteo263 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Atlanta will get to hear some of the new songs soon, Green Day will play Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on August 9th—A.F.I. opens the show. http://929dave.radio.com/2010/07/06/green-day-closer-to-new-album/

I highly doubt Green Day themselves said that and practically any other source isn't reliable (hell, even if Green Day said it you still don't know for sure), my guess is that the writer made that up to promote the gig. It feels as if the writer just needed that 'will hear the new songs soon' to introduce the gig.

Smbcf Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Slightly? Understated. He made Billie's voice sound like he was singing in a tin can. I love the album, but in spite of the production. I actually like Cav but that was not his best showing IMHO. Definitely. I just want to scream at them that less is more sometimes!!
CoreyGregory Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 This is pretty exciting. Not surprising considering we heard 3 new songs, and reports of them entering the studio. But it is exciting to hear about new material.
Ellenkc Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I'm not holding my breath for the next album but I love the fact they're going into the studio. Butch Vig and Rob Cavallo do? Butch Vig is doing the Foo Fighters next album so he won't be available and isn't Rob Cavallo doing an Aly and Aj album now? I'm pretty sure they're both booked up so I'm not sure how valid that source is, because I doubt Green Day would be looking to record with them if they are busy with other bands.
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 thanks for posting but I think is too early to get excited about the new album...
