Tubbie Head Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 The Glasgow area is pretty small tbh, the studio is right beside my old college and everyone pretty much knows everyone around Clydebank. Like I said earlier my gut reaction is saying Winter 2011 so 18 months from now at the very earliest for any kinda new material. Bearing in mind a singlew always comes out a few months before the album and stuff. Though needless to say I can not see the gap between 21CBD and the new album being as long as AI and 21CBD. I am not doubting you... Was just impressed of how they said they had everything written already =0

Idk I don't really want them to rush out a new album but I bet I'm the only one who thinks that I just think they've got so much going on right now, they're still in the middle of touring, the musical, whatever, chances of them bringing out another album soon seem pretty slim. And I'd prefer to wait a bit and for them to really give it a lot of time than just throw down some stuff to get it out faster.

A possibly unfinished song of yours spread throughout Youtube, judging something they know nothing about and just a bit of something more possibly. How would you feel? Alright, I'm done talking about those unmentionables. If it wasn't finished and all, that's not my problem...they played it at a soundcheck with a lot of people hearing it, even if it was a privet one, it was outdoors!!.. So he is expecting for fans to not hear it? I mean, If I was there, at the soundchecks they played new songs, I would somehow try to record it, and share it with other fans that don't get the chance to hear them!
Isabel Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'd rather not wait another 4 and a half years for a new album but I wouldn't mind waiting until late 2012 or early 2013. I mean, there is no way in hell it would come out any time in 2011, Billie Joe even said it definitely would not be out next year. Sure they only finish the tour for 21st CB this year (unless Aussie dates are added) so they wouldn't be releasing anything new within another 12 months. They also need their downtime and whatever other side projects or commitments they have between now and then. I'm still on such a high from this tour that I can't even think about a new album coming out, really

ParadoxAndPlaid Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'm exited, but I also know that the guys like to take their time and put out the best possible music they can. -And I'm glad they do- I won't even think about perspective release times for the next album. I'm happy just knowing they have it in mind. plus I'd really like to hear more from The Foxboro Hot Tubs or The Network, and maybe even The Frustrators, -hopefully, since they've mentioned it- before the next Green Day album

This article says they're basically considering looking at producers now, and it's not like we really know how long before we found out they decided to work with Butch Vig, and we still had nearly a 5 year wait between albums. Until we get more than a single story, I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Produce it themselves They've said that they like someone who can help them sort through stuff they have and get the crap out or help them add the polish. No doubt they could do it themselves, but they get something out of the process of having that other person working for them. I'd like to see Rob come back in. I like what they did with Butch on 21CB, but Rob seems to bring something else into the picture that helps push them in that other direction.

It'll be interesting to see what direction they take with things. And we had to know that they were going to start working on something soon considering they've been doing demos for awhile.

Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 If the whole albums already written, The could use the break they have between the European to North American tours to Record the album, and it could be relased Mid-2011 maybe. But Billie wrote also 45 songs for 21st Century Breakdown, minus the 17, Makes 28 songs still useable. But I can't wait for the Next Album!

Anyway Im not too excited about anything because usually when I get excited im quickly dissapointed so Im not gonna get my hopes up about anything until its totally official that an album is in production, and will come out soon.

The tour ends at the end of October and I'm sure that the guys will have "family time" during Winter and Spring. Of course, I'm sure Billie will write during that period. So I would guess the album being out Spring or Summer of 2012
