A very happy anniversary to the loveliest couple I know of. Billie is very lucky to have Adrienne and she's very lucky to have him. I know they'll be spending many more years together.

Definitely Church on Sunday. It just gets to me. Its like the emotion in that song is so strong it reaches out & punches you dead in the face.

I have much to write about Church on Sunday -- there is a LOT that lurks beneath the surface of this one -- but I'm waiting for J'net to list it as Song of the Week before I let it fly. But here's a teaser in the meantime :eyebrow: ...Think about what kind of fight Billie and Adie must have had that would have led him to apologize to her the way that he did, using the words that he wrote -- words like "I'm not getting any younger/as long as you don't get any older", "if I promise to go to church on Sunday/will you go with me on Friday night", "If you'll live with me I'll die for you", and "but respect is something I will earn/If you have faith".

I also think it's totally f*cking AWESOME that Billie's best buds are backing him up on the instruments -- to me it appears as if all of them have invested in each others' joys and troubles...and here where Billie hit a rought spot in his relationship with Adie and wrote about it, the rest of the band was right there to support them.

can I just say...whatever you intend on saying about this song is just what you read into it. one thing I see all too often is fans over analysing things. we all read too much into things like this at times. just enjoy the songs for what they are....great songs. and not a way into their private lives.
