Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I think because traveling within the US, you don't need a passport and a winner outside the US does and probably security or some type of liability. Hey, UK has had the biggest Green Day concerts to date and each country has had something special. I'm jealous of the Europe tour with the awesome setlists and concerts. Wouldn't someone look stupid with the drawstring seemingly in their ears? I just find the earbuds in the drawstrings odd. But the art looks cool. But passports only can't be the deal....a lot of the contests that have to do with traveling are for people over 18, and I think a fair amount of the people over 18 would have a passport anyway. And you wouldn't apply if you couldn't go there. And haha, not every country has something special...only a select few. Yeah, they probably would But it would be particularly useful for listening music in class or something.
I-Like-Pop-Tarts Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Love the pink heart grenade one, shipping to the UK is $35 though.. so $95 ~ £60 for us UK peeps! Same as what Hollister/A&F charge over here for a hoodie really.
Ellenkc Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I'd love the American Eulogy one, but i'll wait for the reviews of this becasue as much as I want these, I wouldn't buy them if the headphone quality is bad

Velocity Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I need the Breakdown hoodie in my life. I really liked the grenade one but then I saw the other one had all the album covers inside the hood, and I've always wanted something like that. But yeah, it did occur to me that it could look really strange to seemingly have drawstrings in your ears.
Likearollingstone Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I would adore one of these. Where did you find out it would cost that much for shipping? It will be available online, right? Which one of those websites? But, it would look a tad weird with the strings in your ears, but they're awesome hoodies.
just_like_jen Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I love this so much I'm actually considering buying one. And yeah it does suck that these contest are US only...but I'll just have to accept it and move on I guess x
Likearollingstone Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Some of the websites they're selling other ones on do international shipping (apparently, if they sell on those ones) I found a review of one of the other hoodies, i'm assuming the earphones would be the same on these "The headphones provided better audio quality and bass than the standard included headphones from Apple, and feature a soft rubber tip that fits nicely in the ear (mind out of gutter please), above average quality headphones, "
Mrs.Kerplunk Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 i thought for a second there it said Rusty's weird series collaborated with GD and was like "uh whats so weird about that?" anyways pitty its US only but those hoodies look really awesome, so awesome that im thinking about buying one, even tho its pretty expensive..like shipping it over here and all.
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I didn't think about the whole "looking like a lunatic sticking drawstrings in their ears" part. Pretty funny. I'd still use it anyways.

From what I understand from the press release, the GD Rusty hoodies will exclusive to Pacsun? If that is the case, the shipping will be $35 as detailed here: Pacsun Intl Shipping hth!

Likearollingstone Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Thanks, i looked after posting. Thats rought=ly £60 for the hoodie, cheaper than alot I've seen in shops. Would we have to pay income tax though? I heard you had to pay it if it met criteria. I so it could end up about £12 more :/
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I entered the sweepstakes, but I'm not feeling too hot about this little sneaky little snippet of information they put at the bottom of the rules. If I end up getting text messages and e-mails about surf gear, I'll be pretty annoyed. But it's worth the shot at those passes.
Velocity Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I got the Breakdown hoodie today! :woot: A;DOFILCJXVDHOQUGJ I was in Pac Sun and I wasn't even expecting to see it. It's the one that's plain black on the outside except for the skull logo on the shoulder, and all the album art on the inside (I've always wanted a Green Day shirt with all the album art so this is OSM). It even has those holes in the end of the sleeves for your thumbs I got a small and it fits pretty well, except the sleeves are a little too long. Still, it's definitely worth the money.

I ordered mine the other day, it should be here on Thursday!! My Dad works on the local US Air Force base so we've got an American PO address which is super handy.
heartscollide Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I think I may have the chance to get one of these... I'm still not sure about it though.
Kryssi. Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm still stuck between which one to get when I do eventually get one. I love the inlay of both the American Eulogy and Breakdown hoodies, in the hood part that is. But you don't get that in the pink one :/
Alllllli. Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I couldn't choose for that EXACT reason. I love the pink but I'm not crazy about the AI artwork compared to the others - I went for the Breakdown one just for the hood.
Velocity Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 The only thing about getting a mens hoodie if you're a girl, is that the headphones are a little larger and won't fit in your ear as well. The sound is good, but would be better if the tips were a little smaller.
walkalone Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I have just ordered the American Eulogy one ^__^ for people in the UK here is the cost Item: £48.09 Shipping: £23.57 Discount: 49p Duty and tax: Free Total: £71:17
Juliette Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Aw they're pretty cool, I like the pink one. They're really not that expensive tbh, that's about how much I normally pay for a hoody if its decent quality. Shipping's a bitch though.
