take me_away Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 In 86 I thought instead of "there's no return from 86", he was saying "there's no return from innocence." I've heard some good one's for 86. "There's no return from aided sex/animal sex."
Dannit Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 in Nirvana's 'sappy' (verse chorus verse) i thought it was 'you're in a locker room' but its 'your in a laundry room' not much of a difference now that i think about it, both are hilarious
ykelly1 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Thank you for this post! I have been laughing so hard my sides hurt. Ow! My liver! (sorry had to throw that Beavis and Butthead line in there) The videos are great. In Castaway, even though I know the correct lyrics, I always get this one line wrong. It's supposed to be: Lost and found. Trouble bound. Castaway. I always sing it: Lost and found. Tumble bound. Castaway.
barneythebilliejoeworshiper Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 the emo video was a pisser!
AGirlCall3dKill Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I couldn't figure out "on a steady diet of soda pop and ritalin" for ever... It sounded like jibberish... (fall out boy video was so hilarious!!!)
Yvonne Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Pinhead gunpowder - I am an elephant Lyric: There's one thing that hasn't changed You're still a joke to me It's so easy to see right through you Heard: There's one thing that hasn't changed You're still a joke to me It's so easy to see: I THREW YOU!
greenday_punk1039 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Haha you have to see this video, it made me smile that was fucking great!!! the first time i heard blvd of broken dreams i thought it said "sometimes i wish someone out there will varify me till then i walk alone" and on holiday the first time i heard that i thought it said "just cause, just cause becase we're holiday" yea...
annie Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 For the first couple weeks I had AI I fucked up the lyrics to Letterbomb every time. No matter how many times I looked at the lyrics I still got it wrong. and on holiday the first time i heard that i thought it said "just cause, just cause becase we're holiday" yea... same here!
jesus the rage guy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 For the first couple weeks I had AI I fucked up the lyrics to Letterbomb every time. No matter how many times I looked at the lyrics same here!
kingforaday79 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I was just listening to Bob Marley- Redemption Song and it goes ''We forward in this generation Triumphantly'' but instead of triumphantly I heard dry humping me.
rockerbabe443 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 My cousin thinks that the part in American Idiot that goes "can you hear the sound of hysteria" is "can you hear the sound of the stereo" I can see how she could think that, but I've told her the real lyrics so many times and she still doesn't get it. And my sister thinks that Boulevard of Broken Dreams is called I walk alone. Which really annoys me, because you'd think as much as she hears it on the radio and has the name of the song on the track listing on the cd, she'd know the name, but I guess not.
jesus the rage guy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 sometimes i hear the song''advertising space'' from robbie williams and many times i listen ''advertising speed zone'' when really is 'advertising space zone''
freak Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 oh, i can't get what does "with a underbelly" means?
jesus the rage guy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 sometimes i sing holiday and i change in some lirycs''lifes'' to ''lies''
woo_green_day Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 i thought that instead of "because we're outlaws" was "because we're all fucked" which made sense to me! i know all the words to most green day songs now so i am very happy
St. Jenny Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I thought "I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies" was "I burn...............(didn't know the words so just hummed or mumbled).................HALL OF LIES!!!"
NC_Idiot Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Haha you have to see this video, it made me smile i forgot to add this in my other post, but my friend thought "The innocent can never last" in WMUWSE was "in a simple neverland" my brother also thought that "bombs away is your punishment" from Holiday was "bombs away is your Polish man"
Green Day Doll Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Okay, so I was bored after the world history exam today (I was finished in 10 minutes, and still had to wait another 2 HOURS....oh, the agony!), so I went through the CD booklets I had with me and looked for the lyrics I've been getting wrong. A couple of them were: In 2,000 Light Years Away, the song's actually "my pulse is speeding", but I've always thought it was "my pulse is beating". In Christie Road, the line "slapped my brains up so high" I thought was "slap my braincells so high"... And, one more for today: in "One of my Lies, the line that goes "and no one can touch you" I thought was "and no one can trust you". I have a whole bunch more, but I'll spare you, haha.
freak Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 WMUWSE i thought that line "as my memories rest" something like "as my memories erase"
annie Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 In 2,000 Light Years Away, the song's actually "my pulse is speeding", but I've always thought it was "my pulse is beating". I've had it wrong this whole time, lol.... I couldn't for the life of me figure out what he was saying when he sang "She holds my malakite so tight"... probably cuz I had no clue what a malakite is.. lol
Pepsi and Coke Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 My younger sister sings "She's a red bull" instead of "She's a rebel". That made my week!! Im going to sing that in shes a rebel red bull now I used to think that the band Atomic Kitten was Automatic Kitchen when i way younger
Pepsi and Coke Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 this guy is funny he can't sing! I agree! he cant sing!
ArmatageShanks39 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 haha, on castaway, i thought it said "Cat Suey" dont ask me. lol
Psyco Little Me Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 in 7th grade my friend kattie asked the health teacher "is the liver a reproductive organ>" we still tease her to this day
