Sheehan Rysa Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Great song. 1st song I tried playing on drums while my friends were jammin n the drummer wasnt there as yet, so I "tried" to play and it didn't sound that bad
darenmay Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 "so go do what you like, i'm having sex with mike." lol billie wica is one of my all-time favorites, by any artist.
iLozza! Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Definitely one of my favourites off Dookie, I love this song! When BJ sang that line about having sex with mike at wembley I lol'd pretty hard. Nice improvisation.
kerplunk_chick Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 You have no idea how happy you made me by making this the song of the week. It is absolutely one of my all time favorite Green Day songs. I LOVE the sound of it, the guitar in the beginning especially. And the video, don't even get me started. It is my favorite Green Day video ever. When Dookie came out, I was about 5 years old. I can remember hearing this song on the radio when I was younger while my mom and I drove in the car. It is the first Green Day song i ever heard, and that was before I even knew who Green Day was. When I was 14, I heard American Idiot on Fuse TV, and immediately fell in love with the band. I walked down to KMart and used some of the money I made that summer to buy American Idiot. (and I listened to it none stop for the next four months or so). For Christmas that year, the only thing I asked for was Green Day's albums. It was while listening to Dookie that I heard the song When I Come Around and immediately realized that I knew this band. When I Come Around, Welcome to Paradise, Good Riddance, and Basketcase were all songs I had heard when I was younger. It was so weird to realize that a band you just discovered on tv, is actually a band that's been in your life for longer than you can remember.
Agija Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 It's one of my favorite songs off Dookie. The lyrics are amazing, one of the million reasons why I love this song so much. Hearing it live at Wembley was incredible. Loved how Billie changed some of the lyrics.
Mar Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Since I fail at reading the OP, I just watched the Wembley video, so ridiculous and random, I love it and I would have loved to have seen Mike's reaction to that!
bjrules Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Probably my favourite Green Day song ever. I just love it to bits, the lyrics are great, especially "I'm a loser and a user so I don't need no accuser"
CarolineGilman Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 epic. love this song. especially the bass line. i can't wait to hear this one live. i hope he changes the lyrics! XD
Coffee409 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Jason is the boy in the couple. He's not actually playing an Instrument. Ha! Didn't think that looked like Jason AT ALL. Dang... not to shit on your face or anything, but i know that, and i know which fucking phone it was Hahaha, okay... Sure you do.
gone2pasalacqua Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I love the music video but I've always wondered why Billie wore that ugly-ass sweater and those high-water pants. I love that sweater.
Heather! Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I love the music video but I've always wondered why Billie wore that ugly-ass sweater and those high-water pants. His pants are my favorite! and I love his sweater.
gone2pasalacqua Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Hahaha, okay... Sure you do. dude... my picture was taken at a different angle, but it's the same place.
*withoutadoubt* Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 dude... http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u162/Shoothisgun/IMG_1971-1.jpg my picture was taken at a different angle, but it's the same place. ^GREAT picture!! AWESOME picture!!! This song's not one of my ultimate favorites, but it's catchy and I love the bass lines. The video is fun to watch, too - OMG, how can you not love that sweater?! Lol. or Tre's hair. My favorite lines - "I'm just roaming for the moment - sleazin' my back yard..." It's simple but clever - like he's saying, I'm just looking at what's out there, so just stop yer cryin' or figure out what the hell you want. I heard you were dumping my ass anyway. I don't need someone to tell me I'm a loser; I know it already. J'net, I am not sure what your favorite line is, but I'm gonna assume it's "Make sure you do it wise" because of the italics. Very cool lyric, btw.
St. Banana Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 My most listened to song, well atleast according to itunes. I love it, and I have this weird bopping jumping thing to do when it plays XD
Juliette Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I didn't really think this song was anything speical till I heard it live and now its probably one of my favoruites 'You can't go forcing something if its just not right' - such a simple line but so true.
Lotte Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 'You can't go forcing something if its just not right' - such a simple line but so true. I love that line I love When I Come Around, it's an awesome song
NoVaCaInE! Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I love hearing this live, what's funny though is its not one of my most listened to/favourite Green Day songs but I love the energy put into it live The first time I heard it live in Belfast I freaked out!
Coffee409 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 dude... my picture was taken at a different angle, but it's the same place. And what I'm saying is there are more than *one* phone station like that at the Powell street station... But, whatever.
Coffee409 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Let me clarify here, guys and girls... Because it's not my goal to be a dick. I was simply stating that there are a lot of phones like that in a lot of different BART stations all over the Bay Area... And I, myself, would doubt that I found "the one" But if you guys say you're sure of it, than you must have reason to believe so. Good for you! That would be cool to see. I remember the way I felt when I went and found 1640 W. 7th in Oakland, or checked Christie Road... So again, as I said from the get go. I'm not trying to take away from anybodies experiences.
Supermodel*Robot Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I love this song. I love the chugging along feel it has. And Billie's never sounded more snotty.
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 this is one of my favourite songs ever and it shows how epic Green Day are
