'you guys go do it and then send us pictures'

o___o

And on the whole American Idol point, Kelly Clarkson is totally a household name.

She is truly the only person that broke free of American Idol.

Haha, I really liked this week's podcast. It kept me entertained for about an hour or so, ha.

btw: I'm all for that Green Day camp/cruise idea!

It's actually great you're not talking about Green Day all the time, it makes the whole thing more enjoyable.

Yeah, I agree.

AHHH :/

I really don't know how to download these in iTunes. I press the free button, nothing. I double click the title, nothing.

Try hitting "refresh" on your podcast subscription page. My itunes doesn't automatically download the new podcast episodes, so I have to hit refresh at the bottom.

She may have broken free of American Idol, but Kelly Clarkson is NOT a household name.

It's all jokes, don't worry.

Okay, maybe not completely. But she had TONS of hits back around like 2006 or so.

I mean, obviously she was no Madonna or anything, but she was pretty well known.

yet again, great job!

i really liked your debate about your thoughts on moving to a smaller label.

and Marlee's story is adorable!

Jilly, what is a household name?

I just listened to the podcast. It's weird that I can't really get over that you have human voices and all. I always imagine robots or something sitting behind computers typing out responses. I don't really know why.

Yes! Now if only we could get that pesky band to join us.

Ironically it uses Green Day in the example.

And an incorrect "their", but let's just ignore that.

That's a pretty amazingly appropriate example.

Hah! One of the things I said early on was that I kinda liked that no everyone could associate my voice with my (typed) words, because I think I'm much more threatening when people don't realize how ridiculous and non-scary my voice is.

Great podcast! These podcast have become the highlight of my week. First thing I did this morning when I woke up was grab my phone and downloaded the new podcast and listened to it right away, all before getting out of bed. lol Listened to the entire thing too!

Loved it, you guys should have your own proper talk show, with guests and all.

And Alex, stop touching kids.

You guys are great, Wednesday's are starting to be the best day of the week for me now-is that sad? :P

Hah, the last part made me giggle more than it should have.

haha nice brain farts Andres

Hah! My brain was really not kicking in. I've thought about the word I was looking for when I started stumbling all over, still haven't figured it out.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

I thought that the conversation about Green Day going to an independent was really interesting. I see it kind of as the same but just never worded it as nicely about majors dying out and there's really nothing new coming out that can sustain the industry after the bigger bands eventually leave or split or die.

Another great show. =]

Also, Shaun of the Dead quotes make me a very very happy listener indeed.

Is Nonchalant the word you were looking for when describing Billie Joe?

I loved your discourse on bands and the test of time, I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing a bleak outlook for current music! I like to believe Green Day are as close as we're going to get to having a Zeppelin, or perhaps more relevantly Who, this generation, and I feel like we were totally cheated in terms of culture this generation! NOTHINGS NEW, and you're right, the record industry isn't a fertile place for progression in rock! Thank you Green Day for mattering, I sayz, major label or not.

I can't lie, Alex saying "It'll be a poll!" is my favorite thing right now. Instant happy. I replayed the beginning bit just for that. I don't know why, but I crack up every time. XD

I also have to admit that I'm getting seriously addicted to these things. :D

OKAY. I just love this Podcast. And I actually enjoy the chit-chat you and Alex have. It's just more real sounding, I suppose. So far everything seems great in your past episodes. So keep up the good work, guys.

Hm, more guests? That's what I'd like... and y'know have Green Day on once in a while... if that's cool with them :P

Did Alex say "It'll be a poll!" besides the Intro? Hmm, too funnay.

Posted

^ Agreed. 'It'll be a poll!' said by Alex is instant happiness :)

Nice episode guys

This. whenever i read angry posts now, i imagine his voice, and depending on the mood i am, ill make a loud PFFFT or "awwwh  "

i hope this doesnt become like picture of the day, where you all update the podcast too frequently, run out of ideas, then its on indefinite hiatus.

please dont bring back picture of the day. keep the podcast

As long as Green Day keeps doing stuff, we will always have topics to digress from :) Don't worry.
