There is one upside to this great big pile of fail that is Time: The interviewer was undeniably, unignorably, hilariously nervous. Did anyone else catch the rapid rough blinking and the lip twitches?! Someone needs to make a GIF out of that, LMAO.

Pretty sure that's why Billie didn't look directly at her 95% of the time ... Her nervousness was rubbing off on him.

I can totally sympathise, though ... That chick would've made me too nervous to even consider eye contact, as well! o_O;

Ehh I have the same gripes with this interview as everyone else. BJA would be better off just answering questions straight off of here.

The question they picked were very disappointing, no need to gather hundreds of fans to ask those kind of questions; they sounds like they weren't even thought by people who are supposed to know every single detail about Green Day music.

Anyway nice to see the never- aging Billie Joe

So I guess we learnt nothing new but still, it was a nice little interview.

we didn't learnt anything new.... but the last question was :shifty:........ but i'd really like to see billie joe answering my question

I DID enjoy Billie's secrets to eternal youth. Whoever submitted that is amazing. :)

I'm not really surprised that they picked shit questions, as others pointed out, this is a magazine where a good chunk of the readers know very little about GD besides anything from AI or Good Riddance (if they know them at all). But I did like the one about him not aging  he's like Iman or Stacey Dash, who clearly sold their souls to the devil, so they don't age!

wow i'm gonna read it

omg :o totally bullshit.

and what?! how did you get your band's name? :pinch: crap

Aaah I'm disappointed  But it was still nice, of course...every interview Billie does is nice

really awesome interview! love it!!

 ou're absolutley right :whistle

thought it was funny that there was almost 0 eye contact :P

I do that too, like all the time

I gotta change that, right?

Anyway, I have four words to say:

Lame, Time Magazine, L A M E !

Seriously, I admire Billie for not leaving the room. I'd be annoyed to hear the same question asked over and over again for 15 years, but Billie seems really not to care.

I guess they just chose some generic question so the Time Magazine readers get to know Green Day, oh well...

But the last question was great

I'm kind of dissappointed in the questions they chose, there were better, less common questions asked that weren't picked.

Although as has been said before, (and I don't know much about the magazine but i'm guessing this is true) the magazines fans probably don't know much about Green Day, so I suppose it's not too surprising about the types of questions asked. :P

I love how Kryssi's question was featured

What made you want to have a Broadway-musical version of your album American Idiot?

—Kryssi Kay, BEDFORD, ENGLAND

When we were recording American Idiot, we thought it was very theatrical and that it had a story line. We always thought it should be staged somehow. I didn't know women would sound that good singing my songs. They're even better than the way I sing them.

^ yeah, I just realized that :o

No, you're imagining it. I hate when threads get really long when we're waiting for something and then it's hard to find responses.

Me too!

Their choice of questions sucks. Watching the video was enjoyable though, of course

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the chosen questions. Thumbs up for Billie for answering them for the Idontknowhowmany time. I liked his answer to the last question though, I didn't expect him to actually give such an answer to it instead of just 'Haha, yeah, you know..'. He does never seem to age though, look at him in the video

Now (I feel like I) have to post everything I posted in the previous thread again :(

oh well. Long live copy-pasting. I'm too lazy to type everything again and make it make sense. But it's not the same

That was nice, thanks for posting!

Most of the questions weren't very surprising, but it's still nice. Really liked the answer to the last question.

And Kryssi's question is in there, too.

---

[regarding the questions that have been asked a trillion times before]

I didn't expect anything other than this... I mean, of course I was hoping for something better, but it's not like this was a surprise.

That [the video interview] really was much better indeed. I really liked it. Thanks for posting that!

and dayum someone's good-looking.

Very Common Questions, but I still loved watching the video. I love Billie making fun of the girl's introduction :)

The never aging question was good, and I love Billie's response. :) But that man never ages!!!!!!!!! Real life Benjamin Button

I am a little dissapointed of the interview

At least they tried to end it with an uncommon question.

Don't be so harsh...

They may be common questions and answers to us, but to most Time readers, they aren't. They don't know him at all. So the questions are very interesting for someone who's reading about him for the very first time.

Agreed, I too would have liked something out of the ordinary (not counting the last question) but I got exactly what I expected from Time.

damn time didnt pick my question :( although i cant even remember what i said :whistle

In that case they should've just asked their own selection of questions instead of asking people to submit them :P . Usually when magazines ask people to submit questions it's because they want a more unusual/different selection.

nice interview, the end was cute, they've edited out all the "y'know" on the website lol

i noticed that too!
