Thececilie Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Haha thats brilliant, Green Day does seem to make guys hotter......purple mohawk? yeah i know. i find that pretty weird to. but that was what he said. i would love to see a pic of it
JHyena86 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Oh god where to begin...I'll just post these three, since they are the most interesting. First story: I was at the FBHT show in Dallas, and I'd missed seeing the guys go into soundcheck by about 5 minutes. I could hear through the walls, but I was sad that I hadn't actually seen them yet. Well, Mike walked up to the window and started waving and I fell off the fence I was sitting on to look up at him. The other people in line all laughed at me. A little while later, he came out to get the phone, and I ended up jumping the gate to meet him. I managed to yell "OH MY GOD I FUCKING LOVE YOU" Mike looked sort of...confused and it pissed the security guy off, and turns out a police car had just driven by. The police stopped and rolled down the window to ask my friend what was going on because he saw me running. Second story: This actually happened a week ago, while I was in London for the show. My friend and I had been walking around the West End district (we'd spent the day at the museum) and were looking for somewhere that sounded good for dinner. I paused for a second to get my bearings and this guy almost runs into me, so I step aside and look up, and see blond hair and epic sideburns and instantly realize that it's Mike Dirnt. He walks past and I sort of freaked out and grabbed my friend and all I could manage to say was "BLOND" and point, and she was like "Oh, wow" and we debated going up to talk to him. By the time we decided he was gone in the crowd, so we sort of stood there and I started talking about how weird it was and she tells me he's right behind me. I turn and look, and no one is there, but then I look forward again and he'd passed me on the other side. So we followed him across the street and talked for a few minutes. He thought I was canadian because I had a Billy Talent shirt on, and I told him I was from Dallas and in London for the gig. His wife was with him and she was pretty nice. After a few minutes we said bye and walked off and let him continue his date. The fact that on a busy street Mike Dirnt of all people almost ran into me still is like wait, did that happen? Three: When I was in Houston last August for the show, I managed to get soundcheck passes (somehow, long story). While in line earlier in the day I'd made a sign, and I held it up in soundcheck. Billie saw it and told the guys to put a light on me so he could see it better and was shouting across the stadium to me. I'd drawn a picture of the guys on it, so he wanted to see the art. Tre asked me "Who the fuck are those ugly bastards" and I yelled back "Who the fuck do they look like?" And then Tre got all pouty. Billie then asked me what it said. I told him my only request was Who Wrote Holden Caufield as it's my favorite song, and he started playing it for me <3 Halfway through though Tre threw his sticks down and Billie said "I'm sorry, It looks like Tre is done." It was still an awesome experience though

Moxy Crimefighter Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 the 14th of December last yera I went to my first Green day show. The next day (the day of the infamous cancled food poisoning show) My besfriend and I were going to go to brunswick street. But we both woke up late and by the time we figured out when we'd get into the city and to brunswick street (2:00) it'd be pretty much time to go again (my friend had work) Any hoo I go home and the next day we go to brunswick Street. I was wearing my fairly odd Parents dress that I'd gotten in England a few days earlier and the store had accidently left the security tag on the dress, so we went to a store caslled Dangerfield in brunswick to ask them to remove it. Upon entering a girl who worked at the store reconised me from the show, (the joys of having big hair) and we got to talking. Soon the amanager came over and found out that we were both massive fans of the band and had both not been able to come to the city the previous day. upon hearing this, the manager shrugged her shoulders and informed the girl and I that Green day had come into the store about 1:00 that day prior and were tryng on clothing with their wives for ages and then just moseyed around the street. She reconed they'd been there about three hours. To this day I only have two regrets in life, Not buying a Blatz album for $25 at Missing Link records and Not going to Brunswick Street on the 15th of December.
NothingButYourImagination Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Oh! I have the funniest story that happened to me the other day. So, my friend works at orange julius, and we were talking about music. I mentioned Green Day, and all the sudden, this gay couple strolled along and was like, "Someone say Green Day? Oh my gawd, I remember losing my virginity when one of their songs play. What was it? Something-Love slave."So, I said, "You mean Dominated Love Slave?""Yeah! That one. God, the drummer sang that, right?""Yeah.""Shit, that guy is so hot."And his boyfriend made the cutest pout ever and said, "No way, that Billie guy - Mr. Eyeliner is totally more sexy."And after that, they got their drink and was still arguing who was more "sexy" while walking away. My friend and I just laughed our asses off. What a sight that way. XD This has gotta make the podcast. Lol

Tom Higgs Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I lost my virginity listening to Green Day-- Other than that it was painful and not very special. Yeah, Green Day may as well have taken my own (unless you count The Darkness when I was 11) - when I was 12 (nearly 13) I heard American Idiot and thought "wow! This is the real shit!" picked it up as soon as I went into Oxford and my life was never the same again! Such a shame that I never cared for gigs at 13 (my first gig was age 15 with Motorhead at Oxford New Theatre in Nov. 2006) so I never went to see them at MKB. Funnily enough, my Urban Explorer buddy went to see them then! One of the best memories (if not the best) of year 8 was when I went to Bonn in Germany with the school on a Christmas Market Trip and spent the entire journey just listening to it on my CD player (only other CD I had was Good Charlotte's The Young and Hopeless)! I loved it so much I was the only one on the way back who never fell asleep - I kept listening to it! Ha ha ha!
