I LOVE the family guy references XD and i love how it's not all GD news (well it's only about 5% GD news, but it's all good) and the emails are pretty awesome too Good work guys

jos_whatsername Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I LOVE STATIC NOISE !!! andres, it would be cool if you could choose a different person from GDC joining you each week, because like you said andres, its cool having people with different experiences on. that doesnt mean you guys are lame because its the same every week, i love you all, but you could just have 1 member each week. you could do a thread and everyone could participate and you would randomly choose who can be on the podcast for that episode .. i think that would be soo cool !!

What if you guys had a discussion of one song per episode (it could be the song of the week), discussing the various meanings it/ interpretations, the music it self, live performances etc. You could even use some of people's interpretations from the forum to add something else, from the song of the week thread for example. Or just ask people to e-mail them before recording the podcast. I think it would be pretty cool

I have the logo for the podcast tattooed on my arm just by coincidence cuz I got it last October as a Green Day tat, but since it is a cool coincidence I thought it might be cool to get STATIC NOISE tattooed under it in black lettering just like that.I really wanna be on the podcast as a guest, and I think getting a tattoo should be enough, but like I've sent the podcast 2 e-mails about it and tweeted Andres and got no reply, not even a polite no. If the answer is no, can I at least get an answer?

I think a good thing to do would be if you could record yourself talking about the tattoo itself, the process of getting it, what Green Day and the podcast mean to you, etc, and then we could feature that recording on the show. Just a few minutes of that, sort of like an interview? But without someone actually being there to ask you questions. Does that sound good?

But yeah, feel free to send an mp3 to the podcast email and we'll play it during the episode. Probably next weeks show. If it's small enough, I think you can just attach the mp3 to the email itself instead of having to upload it somewhere first. Just make sure to keep it kinda short so it's easy to include into the show.

It would be awesome 'cause you could ask questions and stuff and have us call in either on your cell phone or on Skype, and also maybe email/IM in as well. Of course you could record it so people who didn't have a chance to tune in could still hear it. And maybe switch the time around because it wouldn't be fair if only U.S. people could call in because of the time differences. Or have the people outside of the U.S. send in emails and voice recordings before the show and you can ask a few questions before the show so they know what to send in. oh and i can help host it. i have dreams of cohosting with andres <33333 love that sexy beast yay.

And it's pretty tricky for us to know what time we're gonna start recording till usually the day before, or sometimes not till the day of. Today the time changed around a bit because Alex was busy with some other stuff - so it's kind of hard to nail down a time. But, we can definitely keep it in mind.

Conversations work so much better when we kind of have a feel for each other's type of contributions. Like i said, this isn't something I wanna do right now, but I can see us doing it in the future.

Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 An idea hit me last night that I think may be good for the podcast As Green Day's tour has ended up and news to talk about could become scarce, could we start the member interview thing you guys used to do but record it and put it in the podcast for people to listen? It'd be great to hear from other members experiences and thoughts Altough it mightn't work in practice, I think it could be a cool and fun thing to do
Fuzz Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 We've thought about that idea a few times - I'm still not entirely sold on it. We'd have to change it up a bit, because we need to remember that the far majority of people who listen aren't members on GDC, and probably don't really care too much about most of the questions we asked during the member interviews. But, a similar idea might work out. This is something we'll talk about and find a way to include somehow.

mahalihooishavingaGreenDay Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 i'm not entirely sure if this is where is should be posting this but ah well. there is this radio station in the UK called Xfm it's really good and is the only radio station that i've ever heard play Green Day, they have published a book called the 1000 top songs of all time and 12 of Green Day's songs were put into it maybe not that much to talk about but i think it's quite cool My link this is the link to a list of the songs.
