It kind of sucks that you haven't had stories the past 2 weeks. i've submitted for both of them, and I want to submit again this week, but i feel like "what's the point" because you probably won't read it. i don't know. whatever.

We will definitely be reading a story next week. Can't guarantee it'll be yours, but we will read one.

Thanks! That's good to know. It's one of my favorite parts of the show. On another note, This week's podcast was hiarious! An another other note, i wish i had an icecream man where i lived. that would be awesome, even if he drove by every time i recorded something... =]

..and i wouldn;t even care if he was a pedofile!

that came out wrong....

Have me as a guest. You know you want to!!!

Yeah, I'm kidding. I realize this has as much chance of happening as me becoming a mod.

I do think it would be fun though.

I don't think I have any suggestions (personally I like your random rants/off-topic things).

I do have a question though. Do you EVER actually cut things out?

Because Andres always seems to be like "Okay cut that out" and Alex is just like "NO LOL"

Haha, we do cut things out, a lot of the time. I just usually think the stuff Andres asks me to cut out is funny, so I leave it in.

And I want to have you as a guest. When I come back :)

You can record podcasts in college  I know you've got the computer for it, and all it takes is an hour or two on a Tuesday evening.

But it's awkward... I'll just have to hope my roommates's not there.

Meh, I'll just be branded as the internet freak anyways so it doesn't matter.

What about making an episode about that concert Alex, Andres, J'net (did I get that right?) and some other people from GDC would attend to? I have loads of ideas/thoughts about how an episode like that could look like so I'm just going to write down everything that's popping up in my head.

Introduction: Alex, Andres, J'net, e.t.c. are recording their thoughts when they are about to leave their homes. What are their expectations, thoughts, fears? Maybe Alex is wondering about how it sounds when Andres is saying his name IRL. Alex's thoughts about going to his first Green Day concert ever (really hope I got that right as well)? That kind of things, pretty short. Maybe just a couple of minutes each.

After that, you could talk about your preparations before you finally started to line up. What you did, who you met, how they were like, e.t.c. Then maybe talk a bit about how it looks in the queue, how many damn hours there are left until you can run into the venue and go for the front row. You could even talk to some interesting fellow fans and record.

During the concert you could record a bootleg and use some songs in the episode.

After the concert you could talk about what you just saw, heard, smelled and what not. Your impressions with other words.

Closing: Like introduction but now you're back from the journey.

Just a couple of suggestions, I personally wouldn't be able to do half and I certainly don't expect you to do anything of it. I know that Andres said that he likes to just enjoy the concert and the whole experience without writing/reporting anything about it. Fully respect that of course but yes, figured out that I could post my thoughts anyway. Maybe you think it's shit, maybe you think it's all right. Just glad if I could give you some inspiration and ideas.

:o THE WEEKLY INTERVIEWS COULD BE PART OF THE PODCAST!

Yes! :o

You have to discuss Billie Joe's tweets during the next podcast!

That is so going to be a laugh!

Posted

I wouldn't mind seeing an episode based on The Heart Like A Hand Grenade Film. Have a discussion episode with others who saw it...?

yes yes yes

that's a must do! :woot:

I just remembered that I haven't heard the last two pod casts :whistle

At some point, can you read the "WTF Emails" on the Podcast that you get and sometimes post on GDC, Andres? That would make everything in the world right again.

Posted

It would be amazing if you guys kept reading some WTF e-mails like you did in the last episode.

Aw haha, thanks! I wasn't home when they recorded, and they already had five people. Perhaps next week, ;)

I am completely fine with dick and ball jokes all day everyday and even don't mind listening to M1key talk about Billie Joe dry humping him onstage and both of them being wet. But there needs to be a female voice to (I don't know) how to explain it but when you have a bunch of dudes dominating the conversation it loses something. Oh, and more songs by Andres, that was pretty hilarious

you should take at least a minute to talk about their hair. like Tré's, Billie's, and Mike's. that would be great. :D

But that's lame and uninteresting...

Hi Matt, Alex, and Andres (I hope I spelled that right) Here is my GREEN DAY story... I just went to a GREEN DAY concert (Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on August 31, 2010) it was a religious experience for me. I first encountered GREEN DAY in the beginning of 7th grade. It was right when American Idiot just came out. American Idiot was the first song i heard and i fell in love!!! My best friend had introduced me to GREEN DAY. He played guitar and i later got a guitar in 8th grade. He taught me how to play American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, and Holiday. This was officially my favorite band at this point. Anyways, 7th grade really changed for me because my parents had started treating me differently. They started screaming at me and physicaly abusing me. When they would get like this, i would go up to my room and blast the American Idiot cd as i played along on my crapy yamaha electric guitar, but it was my baby, my heart and sole (it had 5 strings because i made a ninja star one day and of course when i threw it it had to hit my guitar, but it broke the high E string so i could easily play around it. Listening and playing GREEN DAY made the pain go away like that! I would sneak over to my friends house at 2 in the morning with my guitar to escape my parents. My mom acted like she was bipolar and it really sucked for me. She would scream at me for hours and i'd just tune her out. I still had my best friend i could go to to practice GREEN DAY. When high school started, GREEN DAY became unpopular. I still loved them, but if i told anyone that i liked them i would get made fun of and bullied. My friend moved away at the beginning of 9th grade and i had nowhere to go, so when my parents would scream at me id run outside and sit on the curb outside my house. And everytime they would lock me out and not let me in till morning. I then started to become suicidal. When this happened, i turned to GREEN DAY and my guitar. Again, it made all the pain go away just listening to them. i had wanted to dye my hair black ever since, but my parents never let me. i hated my parents then, and i still hate them to this day. My junior year my parents sent me to a Christian Boot camp in Missouri. I was there for 4 months and this place was crazy. they tried to tell me that rock n roll was evil, but i knew inside that GREEN DAY was my true love. When i got back from boot camp i started my senior year. My parents treated me worse. i got in several fist fights with my dad. My room had several holes from my dad slamming my head into the wall, and about 20 holes from me punching the wall. Then i met this girl, who was also obsesed with hello kitty lolz. I fell in love with this girl. She loved GREEN DAY and thats why i started liking her in the first place. We planed on geting married and having kids together. Then 8 months later she dumped me, destroying me. Absolutely destroyed me. My life had hit rock bottom. At this point i had graduated and was living with my aunt and uncle. GREEN DAY had not been something i thought about in a while. 3 days after the break up, out of depression, I overdosed on Monster by drinking 8 in a half an hour. After spending the night in the hospital i just wanted to die. When i got home i went on my facebook account and this girl friend requested me and i accepted. We talked a lot and she started telling me about GREEN DAY. It was then that i realized what i was missing. I googled GREEN DAY and i found out that GREEN DAY was playing at the verizon wireless amphitheater in a week, so i bought 2 tickets, one for me and one for my uncle. At this concert i knew it was ganna be fun. AFI was there too and theyre my 2nd favorite band, but they didnt play any of their good songs. The second GREEN DAY came out and everyone started cheering i started to cry. I could not believe that i was seeing the greatest band in the world live. i sang every song at the top of my lungs and air guitaring every American Idiot song. At the end when they played Good Ridence/ Wake Me Up When September Ends i couldnt keep it in i cried sooooo bad. After the concert i went down to my friend and bought a guitar from him, this one is an SG, but i miss my old on. Anyways, after the concert i was overtaken with happiness. Now things are amazing and it couldnt get any better .

talk about names you think the new album should be titled and if you think there is any chance that they might do what they did with the Broadway show album and have studio versions of songs like "Cigarettes and Valentines" and "Olivia" (unreleased songs), like the did with When its Time on the Broadway one.
