Sharmellow Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 psssh. no offense, but everyone knows that canadians are really lame people, sharmy. Awh, shucks. Ily2 gal. <3 So true though. D:
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Adding to the games idea, There is this game where you sample a very small clip of a song; and whoever is first to guess correctly wins. A local radio station I listen to used to do it, It could be pretty fun to try with the guests you invite.
Trina Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Lol at how people genuinly commented the "million dollars" thing. But I do like that idea, of a Green Day quiz thing. ...You mean there's not going to be a million dollar prize? I just mean that games in general would be awesome. I guess they could be done over skype or maybe just people have to reply in the thread for that episode on the forum.
BadgerLALA Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I think you should interview one member from each continent + Scandinavia Ask them how popular Green Day are in their country, ask GD related questions.
gdpony Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 THE WEEKLY INTERVIEWS COULD BE PART OF THE PODCAST! love that idea!
Fuzz Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 I thought about that, and as much as I like that idea - I'm not sure how well that'd go over for the majority of listeners who aren't a part of the forum.
CaesarSalad Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 hmm. that's a cool idea, but, yeah. it could get not only uninteresting for non-members, but really really long. what about, like, a five-minute-or-so interview preview type thing with the interviewed member. you could stick to green day related questions like "how did you get into green day?" or even "how did you find gda/gdc." it might even draw more people into joining gdc if they hear about how great a place it is and we could still have full written reviews or something.

This sounds awsome.
Bastard of 1967 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Adding to the games idea, There is this game where you sample a very small clip of a song; and whoever is first to guess correctly wins. A local radio station I listen to used to do it, It could be pretty fun to try with the guests you invite. One I remember from years ago was the station would string something like five *real* short (maybe 1/8 of a second each?) clips together and make the caller guess all of 'em. Nasty, but still fun! what about, like, a five-minute-or-so interview preview type thing with the interviewed member. you could stick to green day related questions like "how did you get into green day?" or even "how did you find gda/gdc." it might even draw more people into joining gdc if they hear about how great a place it is and we could still have full written reviews or something. Really, really good idea.
pasalaska Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I like the idea of a 5 minute fan interview - for me one of the best parts of Green Day and GDA/GDC is meeting and talking to fellow fans. Especially international fans. Green Day is kinda like a unifying force for world peace. kinda. not really. but yeah, fan segment would be awesome. I love to share the GD love

I love to share the GD love agree in pretty much every sense of the word. especially the bit about the world peace. Maybe if you guys are near/going to any of the shows, you could bring a laptop or something and hang around outside collecting the general vibe? well, maybe not. but waiting for a concert to start is always a great place to just generally pick up stories and talk to people. if i sound like an ignorant dumbass, pardon.
Scotty Did Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 try to get it so I can subscribe to the podcast on zune
Fuzz Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 I did submit the link to Zune, but it looks like they take FOREVER to approve podcasts (months for some people, apparently).
Scotty Did Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I did submit the link to Zune, but it looks like they take FOREVER to approve podcasts (months for some people, apparently). at least it's on the way, I like keeping my zune REALLY organised. also, I'd like to help i any way I can.
oneofthemrazorbacks Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Hi guys, loving the podcast. I think maybe there could be some more sounds (i.e. to lead into different topics etc.) and maybe a little bit more formal. But apart from that guys it really is a great podcast. Nice work!
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 One I remember from years ago was the station would string something like five *real* short (maybe 1/8 of a second each) clips together and make the caller guess all of 'em. Nasty, but still fun! Yeah! That's almost just like what the one I mentioned was like. The idea of having more than one song sounds cool too. I think It could work for the podcast. Except only using green day clips, of course.
BillieJoeLegstrong Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 i thought of a great idea...what about a live broadcast of this podcast someday?
NothingButYourImagination Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Yeah, I like the 5 minute fan interview idea. Like you guys could interview people from the forums on here such as TAG, t ann, Joy of Suburbia, or even me! Haha, seriously, I'm all for this idea and I think it'd be awesome.
khaab Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I love all the little rants you guys have, that's the best part of the show. You two are a hoot! you make me smile and chuckle keep up with the good work.
Savannah Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 First of all, the podcast is an amazing idea, and its really great. good job guys. Oh and STATIC NOISE T-SHIRTS. The cover art looks amazing and looks like a killer t-shirt design and if there's no money issues or copyright infringments to worry about, make and sell them to support GDA. I would buy one in a flippin' heartbeat. I LOVE this idea! I would totally buy a shirt too. You guys should consider it.
Last American Girl Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 This isn't a suggestion, sorry, but I couldn't find an 'ask pointless questions' thread. What is Billie Joe saying in your little intro thing? Tre's ball got stuck where? I'm just crazy curious.
