WOW!!! Vimeo deleted my account because I posted videos that were aired on TV which violates the agreement I agreed to. Fuck them..... they haven't even been taken off of YouTube yet surprisingly.

:(

You Tube can take months to discover the infringement, it took off one of my videos two months after I had uploaded it.

And I currently have two warnings, one more warning and they will close my account.

How did they find out so quick? That sucks. :(

The performances were brilliant, Billie's pants are getting shorter and shorter each time I see them

omg Michael Douglas and Will Smith were totally getting into KYE haha

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure thats the girl who plays Rachel on Glee. Made me smile too.

Yep! That's Lea Michele (better known as Rachael Berry) from 'Glee'.

I read somewhere that she's dating Theo from the 'American Idiot' musical. She was in Michael Mayer's 'Spring Awakening' with some of the cast of 'American Idiot' a few years ago actually.

The girl who said amazing was Lea Michelle from Glee. I loved Billie's adorable speech too!

Thanks for letting me know!

Watching this got me really excited for seeing them on Wednesday :runaround:

HOLY SHIT THAT PREFORMANCE WAS FUCKING AMAZING. Oh my god. That's the first time I've seen the AI cast actually preform a song on their style of set, and wow. I started crying, that was just amazing. Wow.

Even that didn't do it justice -- you *have* to see it live. :). That said, they did AWESOME!

When I left to watch the Tonys last night there were 12 pages in this thread - now it's up to 34. WOW! So a couple of thoughts: when the show started and they were on stage, my husband's reaction was, "wow, I went to the Tonys and a GD concert broke out. How awesome!"

Billie looked awesome

he really sucks at apeaking in public  he was scratching his chest all the time! lol

And this. He was so nervous and awkward it was almost embarassing. And while he was scratching his chest - he looked like Napoleon. We couldn't stop laughing.

Love both performances. Thought the cast did a great job. And now I understand what everyone meant when the said they'd be doing the Berkley version of AI. It is different from what I saw on Broadway.

Sad they didn't win Best Musical. Really surprised it was Memphis. Oh well. At least they got nominated for their first stab at Broadway! Not bad. Not bad at all.

Just watched both performances. The cast only one was okay, but the Holiday/KYE performance with the guys was amazing. Loved it.

Gotta love Broadway haters:

"Did anyone else get the impression that he was mocking and disdainful of the theatre world in his Idiot intro last night (in spite of his compliments to Mayer)? Or merely full of himself?

Second question: does anyone else get embarrassed for musical theatre performers when they rock out like they think they're rock stars (like the cast of Idiot)?"

"I got the impression that he was stoned."

"Billie Joe Armstrong sounds like a tennis player's name."

The performances were amazing. John's little introduction for Green Day was brilliant, they really put their all into that performance, and it was cool to see everyone in the crowd clapping and I'm pretty sure I saw a few people headbanging

The cast was brilliant, although the CBS feed was really pissing me off, it was messing up whenever the strobe lights went on. the cast performance got alot better towards the end and Theo's face cracked me up a little when he was conducting or whatever.

I didn't think AI would win to be honest, I saw it coming when they didn't nominate Michael or John. Although Christine and Kevin deserved their Tony's I did think of it as they were giving AI the smaller awards instead of the main one. Or am I just being totally cynical? :P

But I did think Fela! was going to win so I was a bit surprised. I was pretty sure that was the favorite.

I'm pretty sure this is John and Will singing Blitzkrieg Bop with Green Day at an afterparty but I might have got the wrong cast members, it's a bit dark

Overall a brilliant night for them, awards aren't everything, the fact that they even got to the Tony's is amazing. :D

That actually looks like Theo singing with maybe Billie?

Might be Theo, but Billie's playing guitar to the left so it's not him :)

justin - hysterical. thanks for pulling that out of the bway boards. i would hope the folks in the broadway boards, more than anyone, would appreciate that the idiots were ACTING. perhaps the cast was having fun rocking out and excited to be a part of the the tony performance, but overall to me they were being the cast of the broadway show american idiot. broadway board fools!

and im pretty sure billie joe would be a horrific tennis player. altough he seems to be able to do just about anything.

In my experience, Broadway World posters are the biggest bitches ever. They make EVERYONE look bad.

If Billie Joe became a tennis player, I'd be the ball girl. He'd probably accidentally hit someone in the head with his racket.

I just watched the performances and they were awesome. :woot:

Loved how Billie was jumping and screaming around along with the cast.

And BOBD was pretty amazing, too.

I was wondering though why Billie rubbed his tie all the time when he was announcing the cast.

Love Billie's speach, he was so stressed, but it turned out to be cute :D.

But both performances just kicked ass! It was great to watch it, I really liked BOBD

He was clearly nervous, it's so cute how he fidgets when he's a little confused!

On the Broadway Boards, how dare they! It's shows like American Idiot that keep Broadway alive and interesting! Billie was not being disrespectful, that's obvious in seeing how much he, Mike, and Tre love Michael and the whole cast! It's just Billie's trademark to be kind of awkward...what a bunch of snobs, sheesh!

That's the Internet for you, everybody has an opinion and a keyboard.

Even the ones who have no idea what they're talking about.

wow those people on that thread were pissed...like super pissed. I love how the one guy was like why does he have to make a joke about the teleprompter?? lol they're funny.
