Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 "Hi Billie, you and your band come this year to the Czech Republic. Why you decide to invent this small country?" - whut ? And others are just plain stalker-ish. I just read a question for Billie that asked: why has he changed his "gender"? I wasn't aware of this, is Billie a girl now ? I think the person ment Genre *snort* That they won't go in the magazine, no doubt, but I wonder if Billie ever gets to read questions like this.
Eeefaa. Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I pity the poor people who have to sort through them ALL Just a quick question: when does this magazine usually come out?
in_your_face Posted May 22, 2010 Author Posted May 22, 2010 shit i didn't get a chance to submit mine. aww.. i'm sorry!
Laura! Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I couldn't think of a question in time. I hope they chose some questions asks from here!
Rosie May Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 *snort* That they won't go in the magazine, no doubt, but I wonder if Billie ever gets to read questions like this. I'd love to se his reaction, some of them are just bizarre
Isabel Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I pity the poor people who have to sort through them ALL Just a quick question: when does this magazine usually come out? Not sure, but I'm keeping track of it from now on. I looked at the 10 questions asked in this issue and from the looks of it, I don't think 90% of those questions asked for Billie Joe will even be considered
KerplunkxCreak Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 So he guys, do you know when the magazine is out or something? I'm sure I can't find my question in the interview, but for sure a lot of yours
gdpony Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I cant wait to see what type of questions get answered, some of them were pretty creepy and weird mine was axtually quite normal, I asked: he may know how much influence his music has on so many people's lives, but still, how does he feel when he sees fans crying, lining up for hours, or even getting tattoos of his face?
Kristina. Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Oh no! I missed the opportunity to ask. I always wanted to ask Billie for milion questions, but I didn't think up the right one. I read some questions now and I think, some of them are really stupid but some of them are very interesting and I'd like to know the answers of them. I'm wondering ,what kind of questions, they'll pick up. Can't wait And THIS : "Hi Billie, you and your band come this year to the Czech Republic. Why you decide to invent this small country?" It really makes me laugh
Farah Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 damit, sometimes i think about some good questions i would like to ask but in the end i always forget them! meh:/
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 And THIS : "Hi Billie, you and your band come this year to the Czech Republic. Why you decide to invent this small country?" It really makes me laugh Haha, yeah, it's always nice to hear Billie Joe invented your country
farley drexel hatcher Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I think this interview was done yesterday, according to Twitter
Nele Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I think this interview was done yesterday, according to Twitter Yesterday already? So hopefully it'll be released soon.
poisonoak Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 seriously cant wait for it, they'd better pick some fun ones instead of everything related to the AI musical...

Hermione Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 seriously cant wait for it, they'd better pick some fun ones instead of everything related to the AI musical... Oh yes, this. Time is good and intelligent so I'm quite hopeful that they'll pick a more interesting selection of questions than the average magazine would, fingers crossed.
Isabel Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 There's different editions for Europe and America but they post the questions on the website so we don't actually need to go out any buy the magazine
jacknovella Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I'm really looking forward to reading this interview actually I think Billie's really interesting and charismatic, and I always look forward to hearing his opinion on things. My question was basically about what direction he thinks himself and the rest of the band will take as musicians in the future, particularly with the new album, it'd be awesome to see my question in the magazine.

dawn71 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (This is my opinion to which we are all entitled to ).There were only 10 questions that were going to be asked, and I had a hard time finding many good ones, I will not say their weren't some good questions because I did see a few. I read the fist 113 full pages of questions out of over 1,300, and I had to stop because I was so aggravated. It was about 50-55% was a bunch of questions asked like: repeats, wanting deep personal information (which isn't really any of our business, everyone is entitled to some privacy, especially when its about personal family questions), there were alot of "when will you come here's", a lot of nonsense that i read over and over and never could understand what they were trying to say or ask. About 20% of questions asked that even a basic newbie Green Day fan already knows and you don't have to search far to find out. There were 20% of questions asked I'll come back to those because they make my blood boil every time i see or hear them so I'll come back to those because they will take up some space because I'm going to finally have my say on that topic once and for all!! The last 5-10% I will say were good questions, that asked for legitimate question that would yield outstanding information on topic that were great. Now back to that 20% that makes my blood boil, It needs its own paragraph because I have alot to say on those matters. I am sick and tired of hearing the sell-outs word! Green Day isn't a sale out!! There are several punk bands that signed to major labels before Green Day did, any they never caught as much of a shit storm as Green Day has. The Clash (signed to CBS), The Sex Pistols (signed to EMI), Social Distortion (Epic), and I could go on. Green Day has to work for a living just like the rest of us. If you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth you have to work for a living in this world if you want to survive, but if you love what you do it will never feel like work. Fortunately, for Green Day they have special talents that most of us do not possess. They were able to do what they loved and are damn great at. Green Day was able to make that their work and call it what ever it is work and they work damn hard at it and awesome at what they do. I really don't know that many great bands that wouldn't signed when made an offered like Green Day got. They got to play their music their way. If anyone came to them to sign with a major label but the condition would be that they had to do it the labels way, Green Day would have told them in no uncertain terms to go to hell. Actually they did basically that many times when they were approached by several other major labels before they signed with Reprise. Green Day wanted to get their music out there for the whole world to hear. It has always been about the music to them. If it was about the money they could have quit a long time ago. Because I am sure they have enough money to live more than comfortably for the rest of their lives if money was all it was.Another topic that is like finger nails down a chalk board is that Green Day isn't the same band as they were before in what was called the "Dookie Era"(and I'll comment on this era bull in a minute), and that is bullshit. They are the same band they have always been! All of Green Day's music has their unmistakable sound. When I listen to their earlier work and their most recent work and I know in a heartbeat that it was the same band. The topics may have changed but the music is the same to me. Topics change with age and our surroundings. When they were young they sang about masturbation, tell your parents and other authority figures to screw off and go to hell ( they still tell some authority figures where they can go in their recent released music), and other topics along those lines. As they grew topics started to slowly changed as they were effected by everything going on in their life by the people, situations, and with society as whole. So, that's what they sing about. They sing about what they know, how they feel, and what they think. They are an awesome band. They have stuck together way longer than most bands have. Its the music that they make together that keeps them together. Its bigger than any one person. Its about Green Day's music. Now about this era crap, they are not eras they are albums. To hear that you would think there were 20 yrs. between albums. I have been a huge fan of Green Day since a high school friend of mine played me the vinyls of 39 Smooth and Kerplunk, finally music That I could understand that understood me. The next day after school I immediately went the store but I couldn't find it in any stores in Georgia. So the next day I asked my friend why and he explained he got it from the times he saw them live in California, from when he had lived there. He said they were independent and I wouldn't find them in the stores around here. I had him make me a few tapes. I am so grateful Green Day did sign to a major label because my tapes were about worn out from constant playing. Now I could go to the store and buy their records and cassettes. Green Day is awesome and they have always been and always will be Punk! I'll stop my ranting now.....
