Micky Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 ohh......I thought it meant 'launch' or something edit: oi, 15,000th post. What an extremely lame 15,000th post it also means launch. there are many meanings and wow, the 15,000th post talking about italian
RobyRoom Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 ohh......I thought it meant 'launch' or something It means that also Anyway I think that it's similar to what happened with 21 guns with the AI cast, the song will be released for the radios. And the radios will decide if it's worth airing.
Micky Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 It means that also Anyway I think that it's similar to what happened with 21 guns with the AI cast, the song will be released for the radios. And the radios will decide if it's worth airing. yeah probably, but then I hope there won't be a video like 21 Guns with AI cast
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Oh yay, than I wasn't even completely wrong
RobyRoom Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 yeah probably, but then I hope there won't be a video like 21 Guns with AI cast Ikr? But I don't see Green Day shooting a new video either
Laura! Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 yeah probably, but then I hope there won't be a video like 21 Guns with AI cast I can't imagine a video for it.
Micky Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I can't imagine a video for it. ah, me either There could be a second Good Riddance, Billie playing the guitar and stuff ... but for When it's Time wouldn't work
Rosie May Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I don't mind that they're releasing this, I just think the studio version is kind of medicore and, I dunno, I can't imagine a video for this...
Banan Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I really dont want it as a single! Its one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, so listening to it 24/7 on the radio will kind of ruin it.
farley drexel hatcher Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Just because it's getting radio play doesn't mean it's a single. A single used to mean it would be released on vinyl/CD/download, get airplay, get a video; simply getting radio play does not equal 'single'. Least, it doesn't in my book.
Conspiracy. Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 When It's Time being released as a single isn't such a problem for me, but a music video, that would just be ..wrong.
mallorymaloney Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 No offence but there are a few greedy people in this thread. It's a nice song, why should only diehards hear it? Bingo. I seriously hate when fans act as if they personally own songs bands make. WTF ...? Oh god I can imagine the teenies now: OMFG!! BILLY WROTE THAT SONG FOR MEE!!! OMGGG!! That's a great impression! ... Of the majority of the people posting in this thread.
E!!i Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I don't care about the radio, I can listen to it all the time if I want to.
Trina Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Woah. That's really cool and interesting. Didn't see that coming! I hope it gets played a lot over here and I actually catch it! I hate the whole "over-played" arguement. You should be proud of their songs doing so well. If you don't want to hear it then turn it off. Stop being greedy, immature and cynical.
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 wellllll that's nice i just hope it won't be overplayed.. though i know it will be
Sanity Loan Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Woah. That's really cool and interesting. Didn't see that coming! I hope it gets played a lot over here and I actually catch it! I hate the whole "over-played" arguement. You should be proud of their songs doing so well. If you don't want to hear it then turn it off. Stop being greedy, immature and cynical. This. A single is put out to be PLAYED. "Overplaying" of a song is the best thing that could happen to it.
steelthorne Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Huh. Interesting. I don't know why this isn't an American single too but whatever. They way they've been doing singles for 21CB doesn't make any sense. It kind of annoys me, especially the fact that East Jesus Nowhere didn't get a music video.
Maddy. Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 This. A single is put out to be PLAYED. "Overplaying" of a song is the best thing that could happen to it. I don't mind it being played a lot. I actually think that's quite cool but ... idk. It's hard to explain. When it's played constantly by people who would never listen to Green Day if the song wasn't popular or anything, I get annoyed. I shouldn't but it just happens. They don't feel the real ~connection and will lose interest once it's off the charts. To me that is not what a song is supposed to do.
pisquano Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 This. A single is put out to be PLAYED. "Overplaying" of a song is the best thing that could happen to it. Exactly my thoughts
Hermione Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Lucky Italians! I'd love to turn on the radio and hear that. All this complicated-ness with the singles is irritating me though
RobyRoom Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Exactly my thoughts And mine. Anyway I don't think the ones who said that they don't want When it's Time to be a single are greedy, it's just that they're related with the song in an emotional way and they don't want the song to become trite. I personally miss the times when Green Day were overplayed. This said, I don't think that WIT will become a big success, it just hasn't the power of WMUWSE or Good Riddance, and I don't see it suiting for the radio airplay . Anyway, I hope to be disproved by the facts.
