I remember me buying that CD so cleary. I had to wait until 6pm because it was my last school day and we went to the Efteling. And after buying my CD i couldn't listen to it because I had to go to school. We had a BBQ and I had too much fun that evening so I no time left that evening so I had to listen to the CD the next morning. That evening I had another party and I wanted to listen to the album all the time. But that day is like the most special day of my life. Because I met my boyfriend that day AND I listened to 21CB the first time!

The year has just flown by. I remember ordering the digital version, the standard CD and the Deluxe vinyl version. I've still not tired of listening to them. Think I'll put it on now to celebrate.

haha, I just remembered that on the release day, I had to go to this stupid BBQ with my hockey team, and the weather sucked, and I wanted to listen the album again, and I was pissed and just wanted to go home

i remember it perfectly. I was moving home on friday 15th may, and as i pre-ordered the CD i was panicing all week the CD wouldn't come through the post by the time i moved on the fri. I was packing the last of me things and it dropped through the letter box I unpacked my CD player and blasted it out on full volume. yea, it was like 9.30am and i pissed some nieghbours off, but whatever i was moving

Happy birthday to an incredible album . The months of anticipation before it came out were so much fun here on GDC. And when I finally got to go and buy the CD, sit gazing at it on the bus home and at last put it in my CD player and listen to it, I was not disappointed! The boys had outdone themselves and listening to the album filled me with happiness and pride for them. As I heard each song for the first time I think I was a mess of different emotions, I was totally blown away.

A year on it remains my favourite Green Day album, and like all the other albums the music and lyrics of 21st Century Breakdown have given me so much in the last year. It's been a year of Green Day wonderfulness and it isn't even finished yet

Even though I already said 'Happy Anniversary' to the album, it was a day early. So, I think I should give a proper Happy Anniversary now. It's funny, because I was out shopping today, and I had passed by the same Best Buy where I bought the album. It gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

I remember getting the album and hoping I'd like it, because the next morning at 10, I would be buying tickets for my GD concert, and I wanted to really enjoy hearing songs off that album live. And naturally, after hearing it one time I was more than ready to be able to hear songs from that album live.

I remember when I got it. I went to Meijer to get groceries and the CD. They had one left and it was only 8:30am . I was so excited to listen to it, I remember listening to it all day that day and fell in love with it immediately.

Happy birthday to a fantastic album I can't believe a year's gone by already. I remember the crazy anticipation for it, when the demo leaked, when Know Your Enemy came out...it doesn't seem like more than a few weeks ago.

I remember the day it came out. I skipped school and was at the store when it opened at 8 AM to get a copy, then I went to Best buy a few hours later to get the special edition version with the book. I remember listening to it the first time, I was in tears for the first few songs because I'd realized the 5-year wait was finally over, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. I fell in love with the songs right away because I knew that this album was something magical.

I was listening to all of the album again while I was taking a drive earlier tonight, with the windows down and the volume up, speeding down the highway. It was an amazing feeling. I'd recommend doing it, 21CB is great driving music.
