i remember getting home from work (about 5.45 i'd guess) and first of all, listening to the songs i hadn't heard before - christians inferno, Peacemaker, viva la gloria?, H and H and See the Light. ill probably listen to it all the way through today.

On May 5th last year, I met the band in the street and told them about the leaked album. Billie was a bit annoyed, but I told him that the reactions from those who had heard it were all good, and he seemed to cheer up. Considering that the album was released on the Friday and reached number one on the Sunday, I don't think the leak affected the sales figures too badly!

I bought this album on the way to a hairdresser's appointment, and I actually took my cd player - not my faithful iPod - to the appointment to listen whilst my hair was being done. Good times.

no way!? gosh time goes quick! though i got it later than everyone else...and as disgusted as some of you mighht be yes, i discovered greenday because of this album but i think thats a good thing! at least i did discover them! and it's not as if i only know that album...thanks to 21stcbd i went out and got the rest of them...well there are a few really old ones i need to get...so THANKS ND HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU CRAZY ALBUM YOU! xxxxxxxxx 35 days to go!!

Happy Birthday 21st Century Breakdown! I remember i went to school just for first lesson then left to go and buy the album and then rushed home to listen to it. I shall make sure i listen to it again today.

Now that it's actually May 15th, happy birthday 21st Century Breakdown!

A year ago, at this time I was listening to the album. Throughout the day and the previous day I'd listened to Green Day's entire discography, and it ended with the sparkly, never before heard (GROUP B 21st CB VIRGINS WOOOOO!) album. I love this album, it's great. The first album I had to wait for, too (even though funnily enough, around the days I became a fan, those first two studio videos appeared, so 'waiting' isn't exactly the word). The first listen was just great. It's such a great thing to listen something you've been anticipating for quite some time for the first time.

Actually, I might be buying another copy of this today. I still only have the special edition and I don't want to ruin it by looking in the book too much

Anyway, I'm definitely going to give it a listen today.

Haha me too.

I remember one year and a day ago, i was walking home and, suddenly realizing the album would come out the next day, went crazy with happiness.

I remember the next day I saw a lot of people wearing green. It was probably for some different reason, but it still made me insanely happy.

And don't even get me started on when when i first listened to the album all the way through. Color me speechless (in the best way possible.)

Was that really all a year ago? Shit, now i feel really old.

Ah well. It was a damn good year.
