Conspiracy. Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Whoa, a year. I still remember every tiniest detail of the day it came out. The excitement lasts ever since.
Metanoia Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 since its now officially a year ago here in germany too,ill take a little time to bring my thoughts in this here.....i just cant believe their "new" record came out a fucking year ago...thats just sick....im stunned by thinking back to the time in october 2008 where i was like the most nervous ever when the studio tapes leaked....my heart really stood still and then the ap magazine made my heart go fast as omg i was so touched and all........then the grammys were like my next kick.....the leaking of 21st century demo (which is till think is the better version...) iwas so nervous and ran around hysterically all day and didnt think or listen to anything else the following weeks....then kye was released and i was so exited to see the worldpremiere....and then ....i almost couldnt sleep on 14th....i was thinking of so many things....i started getting into green day in end of 2006 so ive been waiting 2 1/2 years at that point.....and i was wondering if they could beat american idiot because i thought that its impossible ( and still think it is...american idiot in my opinion is just unbeatable ^^) however so at any time i actually did fell asleep so i stood up early the next day and drove into the next big city and was one of the first ones in the store and my heart was beating so damn fast....and then i saw it standing there....the new album....and i almost cried but immediatly bought both versions......and then i drove to my school (yes i didnt go to the first 2 ghours : my mom wrote me an excuse so that i "had to go to the doctor" so glad she did that for me ^^ )so my friends couldnt stand me that day i went home and didnt even eat anything and just listened to it on my bed and enjoying it....i was overwhelmed by it....really....it was on first listen something so special to me and emotional...i kept listening to it for months.....but now as i compare it still think ai is better and 21stcb is only 4th place on my personal green day album ranking....however so may 15th last year closed with an 4 h special on mtv all about green day and that was one of the most amazing days in my life...so left to say: HAPPY FUCKING 1ST BIRTHDAY MY BABY!!! HAHA I LOVE YOU SO MUCH !!!! YOU BROUGHT SO MUCH HAPPINESS AND JOY INTO MY LIFE !!! THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! god im talking to an album XD

I'd gone home for a few days when it came out and it was delivered to my uni house, but I resisted listening to it on spotify/youtube because I wanted to wait until I had the cd, dunno why exactly I just did. It was worth the wait and I listened to it so much for the first few weeks (probably drove ppl in my house mad lol) and it grew on me more and more Happy Birthday 21st Century Breakdown!!

BillieJoeObsesser Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 wow where did the time go? i still cant believe its been a whole year since the album came out. waiting about 6 years for it and bam! its already been out for a year!! its crazy!! i remember when Green Day was on the radio and showed like 3 or 4 of the new songs on 21st. i remeber they played of course 21st Century Breakdown, 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, and i think one or 2 more that i cant remember at the moment. i fell in love with the album the first time i heard each song. To celebrate I will listen to the whole album and im actually going to this anime convetnion in Chicago tomorrow and im wearing a whole Green Day outfit since i didnt know what anime characte to be. HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN!!! one of my favorite Green Day albums!

I remember going into Glasgow early in the morning to buy 21st Century Breakdown... Going back home, and then going back in to buy the limited edition. Happy birthday, 21st Century Breakdown!

God! time passed so fast. i can't belive it. 21st CB is a excelent album, my 3rd favorite Green Day album a year ago i was... well, sleppying but May 15th, 2010 my idea was go to the mall and buy 21stCB but i coulnd't because my parents hate me a didn't left me for my maths marks on the school ¬¬' (THANKS Miss Karla ¬¬) but... one year has gone so fast♫

It seems like it was yesterday. This album has brought me many splendid things, from new friends to new experiences, so a toast to a damn good record and hopefully many more to come. GreenDayGeek33 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Heres to a fucking awesome album, which launched a fucking awesome tour...which brought many beautiful memories which i will hold in my heart forever.... I remember locking myself in my room listening to 21stCB one year ago today and just having the biggest smile on my face and goose bumbs all over my body, then crying when i heard 21 Guns. This album is just too great for words and i will be happily listening to it not only today but for the rest of my life. Happy 1st Birthday 21st Century Breakdown
