Maddy. Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 The beginning of everything for me, Happy Birthday I'm trying to turn this into a lyric from 30STM but it's not working. So sure that he uses this in a song. I swear. It's probably 'end of everything' or 'end of the beginning'. D: /offtopic

Kristina. Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I can't believe it. Doesn't seem like a year. I remember, when I heard 21st CB first time,I was kinda confused. I can't say, that I didn't like it, but I wasn't completely excited. I really loved Gloria and Last night on the Earth ,but I was kinda disappointed for this album. When I remember on this,I feel shame ,cause 21st CB is one of my most favourite albums at the moment. Happy Birthday 21st Century Breakdown!!!
sharon mitchell Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I never thought that any album would mean more to me than Nimrod, but the first time I heard this, one year ago, I cried. See The Light is the most perfect 'curtain closer' and Horseshoes and Handgrenades has rapidly become my favourite song ever. I go a few days without listening to the album, and when i put it on again, it makes me smile for the whole seventy-something minutes. It's magic. Random Green Day coincidence - the first time I listened to the leaked album was on my iPod on the Eurostar train to Paris when my dear friend Gaelle won tickets to the Trabendo Club show and asked me to join her. In all of my fifty years on this earth, dropping everything and travelling abroad alone was the first spontaneous thing I had ever done, and I calmed myself with this album. At the precise second that Billie sang 'I just want to see the light ...', the train pulled out of the Channel Tunnel and into the daylight of northern France. A couple of hours later, I saw the band perform the new songs live for the first time and I fell head over heels in love with 21st Century Breakdown, a love affair that grows deeper every time I relisten. Happy birthday, 21st CB. I would say that you are going to be my favourite album of all time for ever, but just look at what happened to my beloved Nimrod. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I bloody love this band
Holly Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 How has it been a year!!? Crikey.. scary stuff. That means exactly a year ago was my last day at school, I must have had such a long summer last year! I've still got two months before the end of school this time. Oh well.

Hermione Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 This time last year I was still a proud member of Group B and a 21st Century Breakdown virgin!!! At this moment I would've been steadily making my way through listening to every Green Day song in chronological order in preparation for finally hearing the new album THIS is how I felt : I know some other people felt that way too
Clayish Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Honestly, I cant believe its been a year. I have never been more hyped for anything than this. It was SO much fun getting excited for it, yet, excruciatingly hard not listening to the the leak or live videos.
