I remember not getting it on the day because i didnt have any money until the next day, when i bought it.

Anyway, i prefer to call it an anniversary rather than a birthday. Sounds better that may in my opinion.

Wow I can't believe it has been a year (well in less than 3 hours it will be anyways) since '21 Century Breakdown' was released.

I remember I could barely sleep the night before due to the excitement!

I made my mum take me to the shops to buy it on the day of release and I never would have guessed that I would win a Green Day Prize Pack just by buying the album.

I remember when some time in 2008 I read news which said "Green Day is back in studio and began to work with a new album" I was so excited, and when the time for it's release finally came, I skip the first lesson in school to get it as soon as possible

Holy crap, it's been a year already? Time flies when you're listening to a great album like 21st Century Breakdown.

A year already, wow...

I remember so much about this day. I remember looking at my clock on the night of the 14th and watching it hit midnight. I was so excited and couldn't help but shout, "It's finally here!" That morning, I woke up kind of early and listened to Warning in it's entirety, around 10AM. When my parents finally got ready to go, we got in the car and drove off to Best Buy, where my pre-ordered special Best Buy edition was waiting for me. I can't even begin to describe how... surreal it was to actually grab that album for the first time. I mean, this was the first Green Day album I had ever waited for, so the whole process was awesome. And I think I speak for all the '21stCB virgins' when I say that finally being able to listen to the album was extremely exciting. After also buying a RockSound magazine that had a big Green Day poster in it, I went home. I waited until 3 to listen to the album, since I would have the whole house to myself and could blast it as loud as I wanted to. Hearing the first static noises in Song Of The Century... was incredible. I played that album twice in a row at full volume.

in this whole thread, only four people including the OP and myself have noticed it's May 14th today, not May 15th. Don't wanna piss on the party, but yeah.... what's with all the early bday threads? (also Billie Joe's bday thread was a day early; a couple of days even).

anyways, tomorrow I'll do the happy bday and wallowing in memories thing.
