And he would be probably dead at the end of the tour because of alcohol poisoning. ^^ Even if they do another Rock Opera, I'd like it anyway. Hell they could start doing rap and I'd enjoy it. xD
Isabel
Thanks for posting the scan! I thought they were going backwards and bringing back the older, fast and poppier music for the new album? I could have sworn I had read that somewhere I don't really mind that they want to do another rock opera, I think the musical getting to broadway was definitely an indicator of how good American Idiot was. I guess it would just be nice to hear something new that's more pre AI sounding.
Homicidal_llama
I'm saying nothing until I've heard the new album. It's to early days for even Billie to seriously comment on what form the album is gonna take. I'd be happy with anything I got because to be honest when it comes down to the 'rock operas' I just see my own imagery with the songs and not any that follow a specific story. All of the songs are subtle and vague like that so you can put your own stories to them.
Juliette
God, I'd love a FBHT inspired Rock Opera. YES. I think the story of It's Fuck Time is pretty cute
xjernpqvrnbfv
i don't care if it's a rock opera or just a normal album. i'll love it anyway, green day never dissapointed me, so i trust them
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Thanks for the scans, and as I've also said in the Q mag thread, Tubbies + Green Day sounds really nice. This "Armstrong also declares for Green Day's next album, "We'll definately end up doing something like a Rock-opera again. we're too good at it."" though, surprises me. Here he says this, Q mag says this " There's no narrative as yet, but only time will tell if the American Idiot musical has exorcised the concept bug from the bands system. "I didn't think I was going to write a concept thing after American Idiot, but then I ended up doing 21st Century Breadkdown," says Armstrong. "the short answer is I have no idea."" That's kinda contradicting.
RebelofSuburbia
another rockopera? Don't know if I should be glad with that..
Armstump
Hm another rock opera? Isn't it about time for something new? Well I guess it will take 2 years before the new album will come out so maybe they change their minds. But I trust them. The new album will be great. <
minorityxdisturbed
I trust them, they always do great music, they are great musicians, so I know that the next album will be great I don't care if it's a rock-opera or whatever, they always sound fucking great. petros
I don't give a shit if the new album it's gonna be a rock opera or something I just LOVE Green Day and know that the new album is going to be cool...Yeah what they said in the Q magazine about "definitely Green Day, but with a touch of Foxboro Hot Tubs, too" made me excited but I only have a question:WHY THE FUCK MUST WE WAIT FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS FOR THE NEW ALBUM TO COME OUT??? Maddy.
God, I'd love a FBHT inspired Rock Opera. I would die happy. Well, maybe not but still. It'd be the best thing ever. This "Armstrong also declares for Green Day's next album, "We'll definately end up doing something like a Rock-opera again. we're too good at it."" though, surprises me. crazyhorseandtdglover
People, nothing has been determined YET. Jeez, your all getting fretted up because he said that they MIGHT do another rock opera. Billie sounded really unsure when he said that anyways, and you all are jumping to conclusions too early. We will have to wait and see. It is too early to tell anyways. But GD and a touch of FBHT would be truly epic! But I would be happy with anything that they put out there.
The Grateful Green
i honestly think that they will play some new songs on this upcoming summer tour...they better
simone18
i don´t think they should do an album in dookie style, it´s like they would make two steps back. AI & 21st CB were so huge and i don´t think dookie 2 would make them better. i like their current style and i like GDs rock operas...why not?
