sallysimpson Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The hubby and I both tried to get tix and neither of us won. I guess they don't want old people Nope, because I didn't win either. Thought that with my bday next week, my already being off work (and being able to go) -- it was kismat. But now, apparently it was irony.
GDM Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Yes, actually, sometimes I think the same thing with the IC and Green Day for that matter. Which is kinda sad, since they are doing Rolling Stones. Everyone who has won is young. It's a pity, because I can mosh these young people into the ground. Though I can't really complain. I've been way lucky, as one can tell from my signature. It's just something that I've noticed and it bothers me a bit.
*withoutadoubt* Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Yeah, I really can't complain either. I've been soooo lucky to do so many things the past year or so. It didn't hurt to try tho. As soon as I saw there was a DOB field, I kinda knew we weren't winning.

As soon as I saw there was a DOB field, I kinda knew we weren't winning. I think that sucks. DOB shouldn't be an issue. Especially since it's about the Rolling Stones and they're the grandads of rock and roll. I wonder if it's even legal to pick winners by DOB? But who's going to prove it is or isn't?

I wonder if it's even legal to pick winners by DOB? But who's going to prove it is or isn't? Well, it's all speculation anyway, so who knows if that's how they pick them, but why ask about age in any of those contests? Maybe a box that says that you are 18 years of age or something, but seriously, all of the IC contests ask age and I'm like, why? Anyway, enough complaining, this is gonna rock for everyone that goes. And I'm seeing AI again tomorrow for free, so at least that's a good thing. And plus, I look ten years younger than I am. So age is just a frigging number anyway.

Robin105 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I entered but didn't win. It figures I won that final soundcheck because I couldn't go to it and because I can go to the taping tomorrow I don't win. That's my luck for ya.
Nova-Caine Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Sorry probably been asked already, do we know when these performances will go out? Have fun all who entered and won. x

It's irony *queue Alanis* But you're in good company. Sorry probably been asked already, do we know when these performances will go out? Have fun all who entered and won. x Monday night's Late Night W/Jimmy Fallon. So it should be up on that website the following day.Though, now that I think about it, making sure the winners are yout's is a great marketing ploy for the Stones. And we know those guys can market. Plus they tend to likes them the young gals.

GDM Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 NBC called more people last night around 4 or so to come to Band Bench. (Not me.) Did anyone over 38 get a call? Haha.
lizziebix Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 What's the advertisers favorite demographic? 18-34? I bet that's who they are targeting for the bench seats.
GDM Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 What's the advertisers favorite demographic? 18-34? I bet that's who they are targeting for the bench seats. Probably. MTV does the same thing anyway. Don't get older kids, is all I can say! lol.

Hey, if I was a middle aged rock star Id want a bench of 18-21 year olds screaming over me too.
