Hanamay Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 This is awesome, she's a wicked chick. I'll be seeing her in London! But yes, I do suspect there will be at least one another support because at Milton Keynes (where BIAB was filmed) there were three support bands - Hard Fi, Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World!
Laura33 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I'm still having a big old squee about this. I love her and I never thought I'd get to see her live XD
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I'm well pleased about this, I knew we had to get someone epic, but not this epic! She's a freaking legend.
=Dan= Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 When other shows have Paramore and Rise Against im a bit annoyed but as people have said, Im pretty sure shes one of two or three supports, Interesting support i have to say

Sarahnade. Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Joan Jett is amazing, I'm jealous of all of you.
Conspiracy. Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I just listened to some of her stuff, cuase I haven't heard of her that much before, and I really love the songs I've heard. Bad Reoutation is my favorite. But I'm kinda afraid that the crowd will go like when she comes up...
valentinesandcigs Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Wow you guys are fucking lucky i'll tell you that. She's a legend. But I'm kinda afraid that the crowd will go like when she comes up... Well after she plays the crowd is gonna go from to
McNavdo Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 This is a great choice. The Glasgow show just got alot more interesting I saw her a while back supporting for Alice Cooper and Motorhead in Glasgow and she was awesome, The sound was as clear as you could want it and she has a way of making songs sound like you know them when really you hae never heard of them
Jaddedkitten Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 FML we get AFI and you guys get Joan fucking Jett

iLozza! Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I only know her song 'I Love Rock n Roll', but I like it, so whatever, yay! This pleases my parents too, so now they won't mind paying for my ticket
elanorelle72 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 You can tell all the young fans by the people who say something along the lines of; "Who the hell is Joan Jett?" Look her up. One of the most influential female punk rockers in existence. She was in The Runaways who have recently had a film made out of them called, obviously, The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart from Twilight as Joan. I have to say I'm pretty pumped. Awesome musician and if Courtney Love is supporting with Hole as well I may just explode from excitement. Kudos to Green Day for not having some terrible emo band tacked in front of them and picking some real musicians. I agree,,it pisses me off too when someone who doesn't know who she is dismisses her. I could be polite here but ...but get a grip sometimes and learn about music history and bands and singers that have influenced us over the decades. She is in her 50s and she is just the power house rocker then as she is now. Youi probably knpw her stuff but don't realize it. Green Day is very much influenced by The Who ,,,The Clash etc from the 70s. Is nice to see an early 80s icon also in the sonic mix that night..If Hole is playing too....there is much history with her band as well,,,Courney love of course has been around for a very long time as well .Older established musicians that is a fuck better than alot the shit they have the on the radio,.I guess I am old now...maybe this is what happens...we become our parents...LOL...my ,muim tells me to ...to listen to our past..because there is music you don't want to miss..oh and also! ITS AWESOME THAT SO MANY WOMEN iN THIS TOUR!!
Mayra Vicious Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 That made my day Two of my favourite artists on the same stage, it can't be better Since the 90s I had a dream to see Joan Jett live, now it'll come true
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Wow!! This woman is great...I love her! Unfortunately I won't be in one of those gigs!
