I love talking to everybody here. I remember meeting up with the Irish members a few weeks ago, and it was so great being able to talk about Green Day, GDC, and Marlay Park with amazing people who actually care about this stuff.

That meet -up was so much fun

When I started getting into Green Day, two of my friends were really into them. We would talk about them alot and it made us a lot closer than we had been, but then they both sort of lost interest in them and I was still obsessed. For ages I felt sort of awkward bringing anything abpout the band up, 'cause they didn't really care anymore. Then we sort of drifted apart and I haven't really seen them since I left school. I love GDC so much because I feel like I can be myself without being judged for it. I never really had much to say to people in school because we had nothing in common, but here it's just so much fun. I'm glad i've met so many Irish fans through the Marlay Park and Dublin thread because we can meet up and stuff, and I like talking to other people from around the world too, it's nice to know you're not the only one that loved Green Day so much.

Okay here goes; Sarah, Alex, Sameen, Mary, Gabrielle, Heather, Jill, Ellen, Roby, Micky, Svän, Nele, Olivia, Elissa and Alice are some of the most awesome people I've ever met. I can talk to them about stuff I can't talk to other friends about. They're the bestest of friends to me and we always have so much fun.

Can't wait to meet Alex and Sarah in a year or so. We still need a date for them to come to Holland or for me to go to the US.

One of my best friends in real life joined GDC a while ago [charlieissoawesomelike] and she's one of the only people who understand how much I love Green Day.

My best friend doesn't like them but she understands that I'd do anything for that band. She knows that they've "saved" me more than once and she's actually grateful to them for doing that.

The guys I met in the Rumour thread are just amazing and I miss them so much.

For me, June can't come fast enough, it's when I'll be meeting some of the most amazing people ever. Mino, Nele, Sven, Kaddi, Kryssi, Rebecca, Jamie, Polly [who I'm so fucking stoked to see], Gemma, Anna, Hannes, the list goes on.

Then there are the people who I won't see in June, the ladies in the Svengali in Color thread. Woody, Amanda, Ale and Angela. My Sixx, what an amazing group of people.

Then there's the amazing Sara who will always put up with my ramblings about how awesome John Roecker is and such.

as the posts above show, there are some people i met here on this board. but it's not jsut that i met them.

it all started off one year ago, when i started posting on here and in the on the road section, cause i just won tickets for the secretshow.

there were some people, and we all met up before that show, and since then, these people - especially mino brian and deniz - became very good friends. these three are maybe even really important for me now.

then later, i started to chat with kaddi and nele in the dortmund-thread, and i'm on the phone with these two a lot these days. with nele it's just .. funny all the time, and i'm having serious talks with kaddi, so thats really important atm.

i cannot really tell when and where, but i started to chat with micky. and OMFG i was never soo amazed about summer - thats when i'm going to visit her. and we're also meeting up in munich.

also aaaaaall the people - way to much to list you up <3 - in the wembley thread, we became such a big family, and this day will be EPIC, and way tooo short.

this board has done a lot to me - i'm spending so much time here, having fun, learning about photography, talking about personal troubles, it's just amazing

Without GDC, my Green Day concerts would have been way more... boring I think, because talking to other fans during you have to wait in line, to scream together that's just as important as anything else to me.

I've met so many awesome people on here it's really incredible. First I met Kaddi in Hamburg and it was our first gig and it was just awesome, even if we lost each other after 3 minutes. xD

The Dortmund concert was also amazing, I met Mino, Tanja, Sven and Brian there and had the time of my life.

I can't wait to walk through London with Mino and Tanja because we always laugh so much and it's always so much fun. And of course I can't wait to meet all the awesome people from the Wembley thread, it's going to be so epic!

And the trip to Paris with Sven's going to a blast, I've always wanted to do something like that and now I'm able to do it.

And of course all the other awesome people on here... Sanne, Maddy, Agija, Micky, Lozza... I probably forgot so many people.

Everyone is important to me an I can't wait to meet you someday, or well meet you again in some cases and I know that 2010's going to be the best year of my life because of you... and damn this sounds so fucking cheesy.

I only speak to a couple of people on here regularly, but I know there's a lot of awesome people here who understand what I talk about.

When I saw Green Day twice last year al my friends were like "err..why? isn't it just the same show?" and when I said no Green Day show is the same, they just didn't understand that, whereas, on here you saw you've seen them 5 times and everyone's just like that's awesome.

And when I'm really mad or upset, I listen to Green Day and they still make me feel loads better and my friends are like what? Only Green Day-er's understand that

I don't know what I'd do without my Green Day sister! For a start I'd have no-one to play Green Day tattoo snap with lol. Green Day just wouldn't be the same with out her. I met Tracy a few times before I found out she liked Green Day, but when I first found out that she liked Green Day i was like no way I LOVE Green Day and she was like, I LOVE Green Day too! I'd never met anyone who understands how much Green Day mean to me. Last time they came to the UK we traveled round the country and went to all their shows together. It was by far the best week of my life, I couldn't have done it all with out her. I love Tracy... and GDC x

i made my best friends thanks to green day. my friend fedex and megan (showbiz on here)were in my orchestra class. They're a year older than me, so i never met them before. I told FedEx i liked her shirt (it was the tour shirt from last year) and then i saw megan like 2 days later in a green day shirt and i told her i liked her shirt. Since FedEx was a first violin who sat in the third chair, she'd tune everyone's violin, so when she would tune mine, i would talk to her about music. A week later, both of them approached me asking if i played guitar, cause they needed someone in their band, but i didn't play guitar... From then on, we just became friends and i met their other friends and i made new friends, which was great 'cause before i met them i lost my other friends cause of something shitty, which i didn't even do... So it was nice because i finally had friends that i could talk about music with since everyone else listened to all the popular stuff like justin beiber and shit. I had friends who liked me for myself. Megan then told me she was on here, which made it even better . Because of them i got to go see American Idiot, cause i'm pretty sure my other friends wouldn't even want to see it even if the only way for them to live was to watch it. Oh, and 'cause i met them, i'm taking guitar lessons because i bought one of megan's guitars. I wouldn't be taking lessons if it weren't for her.

Last year, I had absolutely no one who liked Green Day.

I was just that girl that liked Green Day.

And whenever I would get excited about the band I would have to keep it in because no one wanted to hear about my rambles about how awesome Green Day is, or what their new album is like or whatever.

No one gave a shit.

And then I came here, and it's like I finally meet people who know what I go through and know how I feel.

Because I have friends that like other bands, but nothing is like the love a Green Day fan has.

Everyones like BLAH GREEN DAY SUCKS OH WAH THEY WEAR MAKE UP, BLAH AMERICAN IDIOT SHIT SHIT FUCK.

And yeah so I come on here and meet the awesomest people ever.

People I can't see every day but we have the time of our lives (good riddance anyone?) when we're all together.

I love how I can talk to them about anything, and then also be able to talk to them about Green Day for hours! Just about how fucking awesome they are, cause i've never had that before.

If it wasn't for GDC, I wouldn't have all those amazing friends I now have (you know who you are). I'm not gonna name everyone here because it would take too long.

I remember how I posted something about a show I was going to and then some girl replied that she was going too. That's when I first met Paulina and just a few days later I met Jordan for the first time.

And all those trips I did (Rocktober, HLAHG premiere, Berlin show), they wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't met all those people beforehand. I've struck up a friendship on GDC a few years ago that later broke unfortunately. I really hoping all my present GDC and real-life friends are gonna be friends for a lifetime

A love and passion isn't as enjoyable if you have no one to share it with. That's basically the main thing I have learnt over the years.
