BACK on topic, I would also like to add that my GD friends made the night of my life the most amazing it could be. When Billie started playing Going To Pasalacqua (after 3 nights of me holding a sign asking him to do so), I just burst into tears, and all I remember is watching the words come out of Billie's mouth, while being hugged from what seemed like every direction by my GD family, who all knew how much I love that song. I remember Leisha (who I've known from high school since 2004) reaching along the barrier and grabbing my hand. It was breathtaking. and then, later that night, I got chosen as the second singer for Longview, thanks to all my friends lined up on the barrier pointing at me, screaming at Billie and Mike to pick me. Billie ended up picking someone from our little group almost every night. some of us even have matching tattoos... and more of us will once parents can be convinced... and I've only known some of these people for since December 2009.
Guest x-Green Day-x Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I've made a few friends on GDC, but I've made more Green Day friends on facebook, bebo, etc. I don't think I'd be the same without all of them, I love them all so much (: And half the kids at my school like Green Day, so I don't have a problem with "being a weirdo for liking them"

Green Day brought me together with the biggest idiot ever walking on this earth..through GDC actually.. meh But I met my very best friend because the guys cancelled a show.. And you guys on here are pretty awesome too I've met some of you and will be meeting up with some of you this summer.. and I'm sure it will be EPIC!

I can talk to them about stuff I can't talk to other friends about. They're the bestest of friends to me and we always have so much fun. Can't wait to meet Alex and Sarah in a year or so. We still need a date for them to come to Holland or for me to go to the US.

Mino, Nele, Sven, Kaddi, Kryssi, Rebecca, Jamie, Polly [who I'm so fucking stoked to see], Gemma, Anna, Hannes, the list goes on. There is also all of my lovely friends on the Wembley topic. Tasha, Silvy, Sven, Jen, Mino, Nele, Matt, Jamie, Polly and Kryssi. There are lot more, sorry if i forgot you. I'm in sixth form, so it's nothing personal. I hope to meet all of these guys at Wembley stadium in June, and i can't wait. We still need a date for them to come to Holland or for me to go to the US. as the posts above show, there are some people i met here on this board. but it's not jsut that i met them. it all started off one year ago, when i started posting on here and in the on the road section, cause i just won tickets for the secretshow. there were some people, and we all met up before that show, and since then, these people - especially mino brian and deniz - became very good friends. these three are maybe even really important for me now. then later, i started to chat with kaddi and nele in the dortmund-thread, and i'm on the phone with these two a lot these days. with nele it's just .. funny all the time, and i'm having serious talks with kaddi, so thats really important atm. i cannot really tell when and where, but i started to chat with micky. and OMFG i was never soo amazed about summer - thats when i'm going to visit her. and we're also meeting up in munich. also aaaaaall the people - way to much to list you up <3 - in the wembley thread, we became such a big family, and this day will be EPIC, and way tooo short. this board has done a lot to me - i'm spending so much time here, having fun, learning about photography, talking about personal troubles, it's just amazing there are sooo many people i could list now .. but imma just say thank you all <3
Smoothed Out Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Only my best friend liked GD, but she started to get sick of me going on and on about them but on GDC I've made some absolutely amazing friends, I haven't met them but I still class them as my family and this place is like a second home to me. Everyone else I know either doesn't like them or is not interested, but by having you guys it's not such a big deal because I'm not alone anymore
