ChelseaDagger Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Strangeland. It makes my ears sad. Ha!! I like that expression. I might have to borrow that... What about most favorite? I'm sure there's a thread for that.... but this isn't it
Zelda Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Ha!! I like that expression. I might have to borrow that... I think I got it from my brother...go right ahead!
bass boy Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Kill The DJ, sadly enough. A disco riff? In a GD song? No.
Lostnfoundtrblbound Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Okay as a challenge to this post I am now doing a replay of Insomnia and most of it is great I love it. But I guess the two key tracks Jaded and Brainstew are like eh still to me.
Tabeeb Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Extraordinary Girl, idk, IMO it's kind of a meh song, it's prolly the only one I really never cared for.
21stcenturyidiot Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Last night on earth for me, and some songs from slappy I'm not that keen on really
Clean Cut Asshole Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Sorry, but "Oh Love", "Kill the DJ", most of 21CB (aside from "A Quick One", "Enemy", "East Jesus", "Horseshoes"), a few songs on Shenanigans, "Scattered", "Uptight", "Rest", "Misery", and "Android". Everything else by GD I love! Sorry for the long list, I know I'm gonna offend people.
Todd Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Strangeland. It makes my ears sad. This thread makes my ears sad! Strangeland is in my top 10 fav!
21stCenturyInsomniac Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I don't really like Troublemaker at all from the sample we got. That could easily end up being my least favourite Green Day song once the album comes out.
Peyton Sawyer Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 probably take back lol Really? I love this one, love Nimrod so mcuh anyway! I'd say Misery, Redundant, Extraordinary Girl and probably Last Of the amercian girls. Not that I don't like these songs I just don't listen to them very often cause I'm not enjoying them as much as some others!
Vic_Rattlehead Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I don't see how anyone can dislike Haushinka, the middle eight always gives me shivers my least favourite Green Day songs are probably Are We The Waiting, Extraordinary Girl, Private Ale, Redundant, Good Riddance (the Nimrod version, I prefer the demo version), Outsider, Rest, 21 Guns and See the Light.
PaulS Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 39/Smooth: Don't Leave Me, I was There, Disappearing Boy, Green Day, 16, Road to Acceptance, Rest Dookie: F.O.D. Insomniac: Geek Stink Breath, Tight Wad Hill Nimrod: Last Ride In, Prosthetic Head Warning: Warning Shenanigans: Outsider, I Want to be on TV American Idiot: Boulevard of Broken Dreams (unless I'm listening to the whole album) 21st Century Breakdown: Before the Lobotomy, Christian's Inferno, See the Light Uno: Angel Blue Aside from some of the 39/Smooth and Shenanigans tracks, I wouldn't actually call any of these songs 'bad', so much as ones I skip almost every time. It's interesting that while Kerplunk is far from my favourite album, on reflection I find none of the tracks are anything less than very enjoyable. Dookie almost gets there, but then ruins it right at the end. And I'm still bitter about Geek Stink Breath becoming a live staple over so many better Insomniac tracks
DannyDirnt Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Take Back and Christian's Inferno and See The Light. Actually most 21st CB but I'm right now listening to the album to try to like it hahaha
Pieces of Truth Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Why so much hate for Christians Inferno, Know Your Enemy and 1000 hours? I like them. But least favourite... probably Take Back (Really, it soundsl ike Billie's throwing up, I can't stand that sound and take back has like no melody, if I remembr it right) and the two instrumental only songs.
TheGrouch33 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 dominated love slave, see the light 39/Smooth: Don't Leave Me, I was There, Disappearing Boy, Green Day, 16, Road to Acceptance, Rest Dookie: F.O.D. Dookie almost gets there, but then ruins it right at the end. And I'm still bitter about Geek Stink Breath becoming a live staple over so many better Insomniac tracks i agree! why the fuck does Geek stink Breath get so much attention, what about Panic song, Brat, Stuck with me and Stuart and the av?
whatsername0000 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 the only song that i ever really disliked was See the Light
DannyDirnt Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 39/Smooth: Don't Leave Me, I was There, Disappearing Boy, Green Day, 16, Road to Acceptance, Rest Nimrod: Prosthetic Head Warning: Warning WTF I love all of these
Australian1diot Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Least Faves: BLVD of BD (Most of my friends are not into GD and all when I listen to GD, all they say is, 'I Love BLVD', and I say there is better songs) Extraordinary Girl (Boring Instrumental) Geek Stink Breath (Yeah I don't get the Hype about that song either) :/ Last Ride In (Not fond of Instrumentals) Take Back (I'm not fond of when Billie sings, TAAHHK, BHAAAAK!) Desensitized (Would have been good if it weren't for the weird stuff in the beginning) Oh Love (Liked it for a bit but then I heard Angel Blue) Misery (Kinda scares me, and I don't like how it's like story time with Billie) Don't Leave Me (The vocals seem very bland and boring) Rest (Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow for a GD song) Best thing in Town (This song has no proper melody and Billie's voice is really average) Here comes 21st Century :/ Know Your Enemy (Repetitive and probably the most known GD song that the Mainstream know apart from BLVD) Christian's Inferno (The verses I'm really not to fond because of the static that is used constantly in 21 Century BD, the chorus is okay though) Last Night On Earth (Not a very good ballad, didn't really intrigue me. Not that I hate songs about Adrienne, just don't like the song, love sweet 16) Peacemaker (The guitar riff kinda annoys me) 21 Guns (I think this is pretty self-explanatory) See the Light (Not my favorite choice for an album ender) Don't hate on me, just opinion, these songs aren't terrible (except for Take Back), just ones I would probably skip on my iPod.
PaulS Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 WTF I love all of these To be honest, if we could all just agree to move Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns and Dry Ice to Kerplunk, we could forget that first album even happened
Clean Cut Asshole Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Why does "Take Back" get alot of hate? I really like that one! The only GD song I really don't like (pre-21CB) is "Misery".
Backyard Skulls Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 1039: I want to be alone, Green Day and The One I want. Kerplunk: Welcome To Paradise and Strangeland Dookie: In The End Insomniac: Brat and Bab's Uvula Who Nimrod: All the time, Uptight and Jinx Warning: Church on Sunday American Idiot: Whatsername 21CB: Christain's Inferno, Last Night on Earth, See The Light Uno: Sweet 16 and Oh Love
Firecracker Lell Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I'm kinda not able to have a least favorite song.... I just, Can't
Zelda Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Strangeland and 16 (just the chorus) Both are just
CzechIdiot Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 umm I always skip Last Ride In and then I don´t know why, but I don´t like many stuff from Shenanigans (Espionage or On The Wagon for example..)
