alaniluau Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I never skip any Green Day song. Ever. If I skip a song, then it won't have the chance to grow on me and I'll never end up liking it. As for least favorites, I wouldn't really say I had any.
Christina. Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 If I skip a song, then it won't have the chance to grow on me and I'll never end up liking it. That's a good way of thinking! But for me, 21 Guns (I AM SO SORRY) and Christian's Inferno. Murder City was once one but after I heard it live, it grew on me.
Floydhorse Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Take back I almost always skip, mainly because Billie sounds like he's trying to cough up a hairball, it kinda gives me a vomit reaction....and a lump in my own throat. Other than that I hardly ever skip any songs.
Demented or Disturbed Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I never really liked Warning, I'm not sure why either and I tend to skip 1000 Hours because everytime I hear the lyrics I feel like I'm intruding on a very private moment
jm_xd Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 last ride in and espionage. i'm not so into instrumentals..
Hermione Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Uhh it's in the "Listening to albums all the way through" thread... Haha that's one of my favourites. But if I said you have terrible taste I can assure you I'd only be saying it in a jokey way , no one has to like everything.
Micky Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Last Ride In. I've never listened to the whole song
Lotte Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 last ride in and espionage. Same, those are also my least favorite songs
Emmalee Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Haushinka. I don't know why, but I've just never really liked that song . It's the only one
Isabel Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I think it's most of 1.039, Kerplunk for me. Haushinka, Take Back, Platypus, Jinx, F.O.D., Misery, and Deadbeat Holiday are also highly skippable. The only one I would agree with there is Misery. i love every Green Day song but... >.< I WAS THERE D: well, i HATE John Kiffmeyer so i hate that song so bad that now i dont remember the rhythm of the song and i dont really care. That's like, my all time favourite Green Day song. Why do you hate John Kiffmeyer? I never really skip songs when I'm listening to Green Day, I just love listening to all of them. But if I had to choose, I'd say either Macy's Day Parade, When I Come Around, Waiting or Misery would be my least favourites. I've just heard them so many times, especially When I Come Around. I still like them and I wouldn't really skip over them but I just don't like them as much as the others I guess. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in Belfast when Billie Joe switched from Armatage Shanks to When I Come Around
Mrs.Kerplunk Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 i dont have a least favorite, even tho i skip some songs sometimes. but that doesnt mean i dislike them, its just that i dont want to hear it at that moment
musse Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 i dont have a least favorite, even tho i skip some songs sometimes. but that doesnt mean i dislike them, its just that i dont want to hear it at that moment This. I skip songs not because I don't like them but cos I just don't feel like listening to them atm.. I used to skip Static Age before seeing GD live, because I thought the song was a bit boring. Now I think it's awesome ^^
petros Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Christians Inferno,See the light and sometimes Static Age..Also sometimes I skip Misery although other times I love it...
DecanoLP Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Last Ride In and the last four songs on Kerplunk just suck, lol...
Nzap Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Last Ride In and the last four songs on Kerplunk just suck, lol... You mean Kerplunk's 4 last songs or the Sweet Children Ep? Big difference you know?
Maddy. Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 You mean Kerplunk's 4 last songs or the Sweet Children Ep? Big difference you know? Pardon me for being the ignorant, but what is the Sweet Children EP?
DecanoLP Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 You mean Kerplunk's 4 last songs or the Sweet Children Ep? Big difference you know? I mean the Sweet Children EP Kerplunk's last 4 songs would include Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? which is my 2nd favourite Green Day song ever, so... Don't really like Sweet Children^^ Before Green Day were Green Day, Billie and Mike founded the band "Sweet Children" in 1987 together with John Kiffmeyer as a drummer. 4 songs of these area are on Kerplunk
theeulogy Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 i dont have a least favorite, even tho i skip some songs sometimes. but that doesnt mean i dislike them, its just that i dont want to hear it at that moment THIS
Hermione Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Kay which songs are those then? The last 4. They recorded those songs in 1990 but they were written much earlier when Billie and Mike were in their mid-teens (except My Generation which is a cover). The band found themselves in a studio and thought they might as well quickly record them since they'd never recorded them before. Since it was in 1990 it was still John on drums. You can definitely hear the difference in quality! Then a couple of years later they decided to stick them on the end of Kerplunk, like a little bonus.
PoliceBoyLogan Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Keep in mind I'll still play this song once in a while, but after 5 years, Don't wanna fall in love has not grown on me at all.
Homicidal_llama Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm with the majority of people on here who say that they don't 'hate' any Green Day songs. The ones I skip though tend to be some of the singles like Know your Enemy, Good Riddance, Boulevard of Broken Dreams etc. I love these songs to bits but they're so over played that I like to listen to the lesser known material.
Juliette Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Sweet Children I quite like some of the lyrics but just not that keen on the song as a whole.
Hanna__ Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm not a big fan of Misery. Not a bad song, but usually I just don't feel like listening to it.
