Kristen M Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Take back its only 1 minute and 9 seconds yet it never fails to give me a headache
Satan Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 okay okay, see the light is so nice. platypus is amazing and take back rocks, 'nuff said i'm not a fan of rest, 1000 hours, chump, pulling teeth, 86, rotting, and christians inferno. IMO dookie, insomiac, and 1039/sosh have their weakest songs (and dookie/insomiac also have some of their strongest )
Annie, get your gun Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I think my very least favorite is Rotting. He really sings it like if he were dying, I don't like that But on the other hand, the music is beautiful, so I don't know. The lyrics is what I don't like...
minority_defeats_majority Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I never listen to One Of My Lies anymore i just don't like it
emikaf Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I seem to skip Murder City, Extraordinary Girl, Castaway, and Pulling Teeth a lot. I don't know what's wrong with me.
emikaf Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I also skip Misery a lot. I love the song and the story line, but something about it scares me. It makes me feel like I'm trapped in a fun house with voices laughing loudly in my head. I get the feeling that I'm not the only one.I feel like I've posted way too much but what's with all the hate on Last Ride In and Last Night On Earth? Last Night On Earth is one of my all-time favorites. The AI musical cast version is amazing too. I listen to Last Ride In a lot on lazy sunny days and it's incredible.
sickxofxme Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I don't dislike any one song, but these are the ones I listen to the least... Rest, 1000 Hours, I Want To Be On TV, Espionage/Last Ride In, Misery, East Jesus Nowhere/See The Light/Song of the Century and Wake Me Up...I feel bad listing so many...
Guest Honey Emerald Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 This is a shameful thread. How can anyone not like all of the songs Green Day plays? I may have posted myself as not enjoying a song earlier in life, but now I feel guilty for it, because I did not know the whole story behind the song.
Undómiel Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Have to say I don't like their cover of Knowledge. Op Ivy's original is just so much better....
peacelovegreenday Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 It might just be me, but I don't get how you can over play a song, let alone a Green Day song! Maybe it's because every song they play I can connect with somehow. Especially WMUWSE. Let's just say I can relate to Billie's story. Also, I have only heard a couple songs on Shenanigins. Anyway, how can you dislike Longview, Restless Heart Syndrome etc? I mean I understand that you have your opinion, but I love those songs so much it's like how in the hell can anyone not like this? Like I said, maybe it's just me.
Yussef Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I tend to skip Green Day all together but if I had to mention a few songs I would say I care the least about Take Back, Restless Heart Syndrome and Haushinka. Because we're human. WELL, you might be but..
xbox360ROCKS Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 For some reason, I don't really like 1039 Hours & Kerplunk, for some strange reason, even though Going to Pasalacqua & At the Library are alright songs. Other then that, I love all the other Albums, especially American Idiot & 21st Century Breakdown.
LauraG Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Rotting! It's such a sad song! And DUI. I just don't wanna listen to a song about getting drunk and running over people with your car, not even as a joke!
NowhereBound Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 For some strange reason, the last 3 songs on Kerplunk! never really did anything for me...so I usually skip them, but that's the only ones. Sweet Children Best Thing in Town Strangeland I really don't know why I don't like them very much, but I don't.
GDInsaniac Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Most Shenanigens songs except for Sufocate, and desensitized.
Hermione Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 For some strange reason, the last 3 songs on Kerplunk! never really did anything for me...so I usually skip them, but that's the only ones. Sweet Children Best Thing in Town Strangeland I really don't know why I don't like them very much, but I don't. Those songs (plus My Generation) aren't really from Kerplunk, they're from the Sweet Children EP that they recorded in 1990. They just stuck the EP on the end of Kerplunk as a bonus. They were in Minnesota and found themselves with some studio time, so they thought they might as well quickly record some really old songs that they'd never got around to recording before (and threw in the My Generation cover while they were at it). That's why they're not as good - they're old songs recorded in a rush with bad recording quality. I think Billie's said Best Thing In Town is the first song he EVER wrote when he was like 14 so it's no wonder it's not that great
Red Lights Flash Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 My least favorite songs seem to be from Insomniac. I also skip American Eulogy, Peacemaker, sometimes Little girl. I wonder why so many people dislike See the light though. I think it's a highlight from 21stCB. Green Day meets AC/DC meets The Who.
Green_Day_Pete Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Not sure why a lot of people are saying Deadbeat Holiday, besides the hits off that album it is one of my favorites off of it!
GrouchyPunisher Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Cant' say that I *hate* it, but I usually skip over East Jesus Nowhere. I'm still surprised they released that as a single, when I thought Static Age or American Eulogy would've done much better. BTW...seems to be a lot of people not liking 1039. I urge you to go back and listen to it some more. Songs like Dry Ice, Paper Lanterns, and Why Do You Want Him are all great, and for different reasons. Check out the guitar work (and solo) in Dry Ice. Those songs don't get the love they should
Pedestrian9394 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 All the hate for Last Ride In confuses me. I think it's really pretty and I love falling asleep to it. Every song has its ways of being useful. And Rotting? His voice sounds awesome in it. Yeah, the lyrics are a bit....dragging, but it just sounds unique and interesting. I feel like a horrible person for saying this, but I pretty much skip over all of 21CBD except for East Jesus Nowhere, Peacemaker, Murder City, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, and Static Age.
