BasKerplunCase Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Well, yeah. It was played on the radio ALOT. But I can't help but love it. haha.
Ste.A Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Platypus ( i hate you ) dont know what it is but i skip it nearly everytime
james.england121 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Last Night on Earth is probably my least favourite song. But when there is a Green Day song which isn't so strong, it's usually funny, like: Platypus, Take Back.. things like that. With Green Day it's either funny or awesome in my eyes. Other bands such as Muse (my other favourite band) DO have shit songs, which don't even compensate with humour e.g. Screenager, half of the album Showbiz, Solider's Poem, Guiding Light etc...
BasKerplunCase Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I feel like I shouldn't be in this thread anymore! aha.
Reberebel96 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Last of the american girls, rest, See the light, Westbound Sign and I wanna be on TV I don't hate them i just don't love them as much as i love other songs.
November's Storms Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Last of the american girls, rest, See the light, Westbound Sign and I wanna be on TV I don't hate them i just don't love them as much as i love other songs. When I heard Westbound Sign was used in the trailer to the movie Cars, I automatically loved it! And still do
Zelda Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 16 and Strangeland are just...bleh for me. I guess it's just the way Billie sings parts of the songs, but I just don't like them. As for Take Back, it's off and on for me. And Last Ride In is just too slow and boring.
Wretched & Divine Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 The only song I ever really skip is Take Back. It's a bit too... heavy, I guess. And yeah, I can't say I've listened to Last Ride In all the way through more than say, 5 times. I also skip American Idiot a lot when it comes on my playlist. It's not a "least favourite" or anything, it's just... knowing that Jesus of Suburbia comes next, I get impatient and go right to it. No, I can't wait a mere three minutes
abattlecry Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I skip Last Night On Earth when it comes on... It's not that I don't like it, But when I'm in the mood to litsen to Green Day its too... Soft.
CzechIdiot Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I skip Last Night On Earth when it comes on... It's not that I don't like it, But when I'm in the mood to litsen to Green Day its too... Soft. yeah, I also skip Last Night on earth everytime.. I think its too slowly and I dont like Billies voice in it so much....
abattlecry Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 yeah, I also skip Last Night on earth everytime.. I think its too slowly and I dont like Billies voice in it so much.... Aww, I love his voice in it... It's just waaaaaaaaay to slow.
-Billiejoezee- Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 My least favorite song is "waiting for green day to release more fucking music". I hate the feeling I get when I listen to it. Platypus ( i hate you ) dont know what it is but i skip it nearly everytime know your enemy. i guess cause its been played too damn much. brain stew is kind of boring for me. but ill listen to it every now and again. last ride in. serves no purpose to me. i dislike it. xD ASGKGD KYE? fyuuuu LOL you know I'm joking. I adore PL. Pulling Teeth ASDHKKRVJGWGKTSBJRFNKRDNJEVJYSVJFFNHSCJHDBSHNEVTXBHRFNMYNJDBJYDBNYWVJYDCCONFSDGNTSGGGGTRBJJJJUSSASDFGGTEDJHCBTXBNDFVBF *dies* BEST. GREEN DAY. SONG.
Marlee Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I also skip American Idiot a lot when it comes on my playlist. It's not a "least favourite" or anything, it's just... knowing that Jesus of Suburbia comes next, I get impatient and go right to it. No, I can't wait a mere three minutes I do that all the time!! I cant wait that long!! XD thats probably why i have such a low play count compared to JOS and the rest of the album (like around 300 to the rest like 800)
VivaLaNina Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I like all Green Day songs but it depends on my mood which songs I skip...
andrewmackenzie Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I ALWAYS skip "Rest" and the covers on Shenanigans ("I wanna be on TV", "Tired of Waiting for You" ... and to a lesser extent, "Outsider"), although I generally like the rest of their covers, I do also dislike "That's All Right", and skip "A Quick One..." and "Like a Rolling Stone" due to their lengths, otherwise I'd only really say that I frequently skip "Espionage", "Poprocks & Coke" (great tune, just never in the mood), "Platypus" / "Take Back" (likewise, I'm just NEVER in the mood for these decent Green Day tracks), and "See the Light" "See the Light" is a fun song, but I've always thought that 21st Century Breakdown should end with "American Eulogy" and that "See the Light" would have made a sweet B-Side (although "Too Much, Too Soon" and "Favorite Son" are still much better) Also, to be honest, I pick and choose a lot when I'm listening to 1,039 ... I usually only listen to "Don't Leave Me", "I was there", "Going to Pasalacqua", "Paper Lanterns", "Knowledge", "Dry Ice", and "I want to be Alone" but skip the rest
medrummer Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I don't dislike too many of their songs to be honest. I cannot stand 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' though. Just something about it being too out of place on AI. I also have a stigma attached to Macy's Day Parade, because of the sombre chord pattern. A bit too depressing for the end of the album for me.
SarahRamone Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Take Back - Screamo is icky. Last Night on Earth, See The Light. I hate to sound like a typical "Gilman Street" fan, but I could skip over the majority of 21CB without much sadness...
Jimmy Strummer Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I'm not that much of a fan of the 39/Smooth or Kerplunk material. I just don't think it's as good as everything that came after it. The songs are good enough, no question, they just need that same kind of big sound that you hear from Dookie on.
Burnout98 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Disliking a Green Day song? What? These responses i'm seeing are killing me.... "Castaway, now i'm on my own"
November's Storms Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Take Back - Screamo is icky. Last Night on Earth, See The Light. I hate to sound like a typical "Gilman Street" fan, but I could skip over the majority of 21CB without much sadness... Screamo is awesome! Ugh, 21stCB is a fantastic album! Sure its not as punk, but its pure and high quality stadium rock with a perfect Green Day twist to it
The Thespian Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 21 Guns and See The Light. It's not that they are bad songs, it's just that I don't like them.
sassafrasroots_ Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I only really have two 'least favourite' songs. wuwse because it just got overplayed and overplayed and overplayed in my school scne we spent a wholeyear learning to play it in music on keyboard and my dad lovesto play it all the time in the car. I'm slowly starting to like it again though - not as much as all there other stuff, i don't hate it but its one of my least favourites atm. Know your enemy, i can only listen to this song if i listen to the whole album or live i don't know why but theres just something aout it that makes it my least favourite.
green day climber Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 some of their songs i never seem to be in the right mood to listen to. i never really feel like listening to 1039SOSH or 21CB straght through. there are definitely songs i like of them and sometimes i am just suddenly like Oh my god have to listen to 1039SOSH/21CB right now!!!!! anyway i definitely dont dislike them, theres just usually something id rather listen to. and there are songs of both the CD's that i absolutely love (EJN and Paper Lanterns).
