Clayish Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I could say the same about this: Brat = 1:43 of bad lyrics and overall bleghness.
Naveed Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Eww, the videos for WMUWSE and JOS. Two amazing songs, two vomit-inducingly awful videos. If I thought about those videos too much when I listened to the songs they would be in danger of becoming my least favourites What about the video's do you not like? Not judging, just asking.
Stormy Haze Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Misery and Peacemaker. I do listen to them, just not as often as I listen to all the others...
Zia Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I'm so sick of Extraordinary Girl It's just so annoying... I don't hate it but I don't like it either.
Nimrod99 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I really have to disagree with you on JoS. For me it's an anthem, I can't just take one part out of it and expect it to work. And with the vid for WMUWSE, Sam Bayer says that's his finest ever work. Not trying to diss you about it, jus saying! It's ok, we all have different opinions and if we all thought the same then the world would be a boring place. Ok, now back to the topic. I listen to the whole of the song sometimes, just not all the time. I don't hate the song at all, I just tend to skip it a lot. I don't know why, but JOS just doesn't get me pumped. I totally disagree with Sam Bayer lol. I didn't like how the music video kind of chopped the song up and I didn't care for the concept of the video either (and I'm not hating on any military personnel either as I have a cousin who has gone to both Afganistan and Iraq).

I quite like parts of it
FannyDefoe Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I'm so sick of Extraordinary Girl It's just so annoying... I don't hate it but I don't like it either. me too I'm also not into Coming Clean...though I LOVE the lyrics...I just don't like the melody aand Android..thar's the weirdest thing...I never get past the first few seconds.. I heard the entire song only once and I even liked it I really don't know what is wrong with me
RockSeason Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I like all of them if i dont like the melody or lyrics, i just listen Billie's voice. it makes me feel good always
Fear__Loathing Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I’m probably going to be hung for this, but I just can’t listen to American Idiot anymore (song not the album) I skip it pretty much every time.
pasalaska Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I don't like Brain Stew - I find it kinda boring, but I do love Jaded, so I put up with it And BOBD, mainly because it was played to death on the radio.
Hermione Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 What is it that you dont like about the JOS video? I quite like parts of it I just think he made the characters into total wankers . I wanna give them a slap. For me the Jesus Of Suburbia in that video doesn't represent the character of Jesus Of Suburbia on the album at all. He's a twat. And all those glum faced posers sitting around staring blankly into space, urgh no thanks. I love the song but I hate the video with a passion
Ingrid Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I just think he made the characters into total wankers . I wanna give them a slap. I haven't watched the JOS video in several years, because when I do it just ruins the song for me until I manage to forget about it again.
Axel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 American Idiot (Seriously, over played and overrated) (im talking about the song) Road To Acceptance (never really like it) Most songs on 21'st CB also how cna someone not like Rest? It's a favorite of mine

And all those glum faced posers sitting around staring blankly into space, urgh no thanks. I love the song but I hate the video with a passion Although I don't 'hate it with a passion' ..I do agree with what you said. The character of whatsername in this video i reallllllly dont like And like you said, they all seem to be glum and miserable, and overall it looks like a pretty sad situation. I prefer the character or Gloria far more, to me in this video Whatsername comes across as whingy brat who hs a few 'problems' and thinks 'omg i'll go where some eyeliner and get drunk cause like no one understands me' ....so um yeahh I just do not like her attitude + character at all in this video. But I find it quite visually entertaining, far more than KYE, and the scene where he is throwing chips and crap over his shoulder I like for some reason
Clayish Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Agreed. They made Jesus of Suburbia incredibly emo, and it just gives people more reason to call Green Day emo, which bothers the hell out of me.
NothingButYourImagination Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I used to not like much of 1,039\Smooth and Kerplunk but now I do. But it's mostly songs from those albums I don't care for that much. Like 1,000 Hours, Only Of You, and The One I Want; I just find them too sappy to be Green Day songs. And then on Kerplunk, from Sweet Children to the end I just find them to sound to alike and poor quality to listen. As far as the other albums go, I don't really care for Castaway and Babs Uvula Who?. And then other times I'll be in a mood for listening to only the last 2 albums, or only b sides, or only oldschool GD. It changes all the time with me.
Slappy. Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I would say American Idiot just cos its the only GD song you actually hear played over & over on the radio or TV, but then again everytime I think i'm tired of it, it comes on the radio and BAM, I'm jumping up and down like a lunatic But I've never really liked Take Back, it just makes me think god Billie what were you thinking?!
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Eh... paper lanterns.. like seriously.. jk. nah but eh... i remember there was a time i HATED extraordinary Girl.
clairemarie Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I'm so sad at the lack of love for the song's on the 21st Century Breakdown album as a whole. Anyways, I almost always skip Green Day (the song) but thats about it.
Opezi Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 know your enemy. i guess cause its been played too damn much. brain stew is kind of boring for me. but ill listen to it every now and again. last ride in. serves no purpose to me. i dislike it. xD Eh... paper lanterns.. like seriously.. jk. nah but eh... i remember there was a time i HATED extraordinary Girl.
Burritos! Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I really just didn't dig 21st Century Breakdown, but I don't know which song specifically I liked the least. Other than that. I'm really not a fan of Are We the Waiting, but I do love the way it leads into St. Jimmy. I'm a lot better at picking favorites than I am at picking least favorites.

I'm really not a fan of Are We the Waiting, but I do love the way it leads into St. Jimmy. It seems a lot of people feel this way. (about 21st Century Breakdown) That's my favorite album of theirs. But yeah, I only listen to Are We The Waiting when I'm in the mood... Edit: Hey! You're from SJ too!
Burritos! Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Edit: Hey! You're from SJ too! Aw, fuck yeah! San Jose rules! About the whole 21st Century Breakdown thing, I did try really hard to get into it. But it just didn't happen. However! I do really like Viva la Gloria. Like, the first one of them.

I listened to it and didnt really dig it. Then I dug it up a couple months later and fell in complete love with it. It's really inexplainable. Probably 'cause I felt like I related to it so well. Amazing how an album can do that to you, huh? Yes, Viva La Gloria is absolutely beautiful! Thats how I got my mom to bare listening to them!
