November's Storms Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I used to like WMUWSE, but it just got annoying after a while, like i tend to skip it all the time, that and BOBD Yeah for me the singles can get boring very quickly. BOBD and WMUWSE were overplayed on radio and TV, people know them without knowing Green Day. That's what sucks for me. That same idea ruined 21 Guns for me too.
dawn71 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I would never skip any of their songs....I love them all. I played them so much that when my kids were real young they sang Green Day songs before the could sing Old McDonald or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Back in the cassette days it was hard as hell to skip a song...lol. That's why I listened to Green Day all the time, so I didn't have to. I still do listen to them all. I load my Cd changer with all Green Day Cd's' and just play them all. That's a happy day for me...
greendepent Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 how could you? Horseshoes and handgrenades is an awesome song! I can, little girl. For me, is a FAIL song. Green Day wanna put something of their alteregos in 21stCB and the FHT style song they failed. The riff is so annoying (nothing compared with SDR, Mother Mary or Highway 1, that are riff that can rock your ass), also the lyrics are a big piece of shit. Another song I can hate is Jesus Of Suburbia. Way overrated. Jesus Of Suburbia is easily beated by Homecoming or 21st Century Breakdown.

ParadoxAndPlaid Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Boulevard of Broken Dreams, not that it's a bad song, it's alright. People ruined it for me. And radio. It was misunderstood, misquoted, and overplayed. I don't like the way it was presented or perceived by most people. I can't help but think about that when I hear it. I don't skip any songs though. It bothers me more to skip songs, the album feel incomplete without all of it.
Battis Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Hmm it's not easy to pick out a GD song I don't like ....maybe some at the end of 21CB?! See the Light or American Eulogy. And maybe BOBD, it's a bit overplayed. I prefer the older stuff, but I sometimes skip stuff like Private Ale.
VivaLaRosalee Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Woah guys. My favorites songs are the ones you guys are skipping. I LOVE christans inferno, last of the american girls, FOD, last night on earth, and 1000 hours. Now when it comes to skipping, you guys are gonna hate me for this. I skip good riddance, know your enemy, see the light.
SuperSock Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I just skip around the songs; some are better than others. But that's pretty much the same with every other band.(:
theviridiansea Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I love all of their songs. Sometimes I'll skip some of the sappy love songs from their first album, but even though they're cheesy I still like them.
St. Banana Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I don't really like 21 guns and See the Light very much :\ 21 guns, mainlly because its been played so so so much on the radio.
Eighty. Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 No one knows and 16, I feel really identified with those songs
Isabel Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 No one knows and 16, I feel really identified with those songs ...so why do you skip them?
Eighty. Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 ...so why do you skip them? aaahh shit I didnt post the whole comment because my internet went off I wanted to say that those are my favourite and I prefer old songs I would say I hate Christian's infierno
Ellenkc Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Hmm 1000 hours, Last Ride In, Espionage, Tight Wad Hill , alot of the Sweet Children 7" tbh and I skip 21 Guns alot because I love it so I'm trying not to overplay it.
Whatsername90 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 probably know your enemy. it's fun live, but on the album... seriously, could they have written a more repetitive song?

poisonoak Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 its not that i dont like it, but i skip AI now, too overplayed
Smoothed Out Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Probably things like Macy's Day Parade and (don't kill me) She I don't know there's just something that isn't amazing about them, compared to their other stuff anyway
Pedestrian9394 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I have to admit that about half the songs on Insomniac irritate me. Sorry, but I shouldn't have to look up the lyrics to an entire album. Other than that, I don't like Christian's Inferno because it's way too repetitive. Billie Joe is so much better of a songwriter than that. On a more positive note, I love every single song on the album Warning. =D
LinziLetterbomb Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I love everything that they have done, but if i had to pick one it would be 1000 Hours!
groundpatty Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 It's hard to specifically pick a green day song that I dont like... cause i can listen to any green day song, i guess theres just some i'm not often in the mood for... lol but the two that I recall skipping a lot are "all the time" on nimrod, and BOBD on bullet in a bible. idk I just don't really like how the song sounds live. maybe it's billies maniacal laughter at the end haha
sara_gd Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I don't really like Sweet Children and Strangeland. I could listen to them, but I think they are too repetitive and boring... I also skip Christian's inferno a lot.
SilentShout Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I think I've been listening to Christian's Inferno like... two times since the album came out. So that one, and I usually skip Last of the American Girls and Rest also.
