Hermione Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Haha, I did that too and then when I walked out of the store Whatsername ended (oh well, that means I still timed it pretty well, I only was 2-3 minutes off), so I had to figure something out till I got home (ended up with Too Much Too Soon. Which is technically AI too and an awesome song, so no complaints from me =D). I included side projects , so I finished with the Foxies on the bus ride home from the shop. Gonna have to do it again for the next album I think
Hanna__ Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 It's always great to listen Green Day albums all the way trough, my favourites are Dookie and AI
AdelineGrenades Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I'll usually listen to American Idiot all the way through. It's one of those albums that I don't want to turn off. I've played 21CB all the way through before too. It's usually only AI though.
bass boy Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 i normally listen to albums all the way through. i do skip songs sometimes because it doesnt fit my mood, but normally i dont.
Lyz Z Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Depends on the mood. If I'm in the mood for just old school stuff I'll put on 1039/Smooth or Kerplunk. But usually when I listen to full albums it's on shuffle. 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot are good for long car trips.
Just Overjoyed Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I listen to all their albums all the way through. Once I had an exam the next day and I studied sooo much that I listeneed to their entire discography. I did the same thing a few weeks ago, realized like 6-7 hours after I started that no music was playing anymore and I had gone through every album in ABC order, ending with Macy's Day Parade. Aced the organic chemistry exam by using what I learned in Psych class in high school: association. I'd sing a green day song in my head and recall what I was studying at the time. Crazy times.
leacalifornia Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 21CB is awesome to listen to while youre running. haha slightly more I think damn everyone does it!! haha I guess I'm the weird one....
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 i always listen to albums all the way through especially green day's albums
Ila Reto Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 i have to listen to the albums all the way through. like i cant even put the CD on shuffle, it throws me off completely. im always anticipating the next song, and i get so comfortable with how one song flows into the next that if it were to play a different one, i'd be a bit disturbed. that was the problem when i made the transition from having just International Superhits to buying the individual albums (i'd be listening to She on dookie and expecting to hear J.A.R. next, for example) if i cant listen to an album in full, i dont listen to it. which is why i usually only get to listen in the car or as i fall asleep. i leave listening to individual songs to bootlegs and live performances on youtube.
watsername182 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I can listen to American Idiot all the way through, in fact I just finished listening to it less than a minute ago. As for all of Green Day's other albums, it really depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I can listen to them all the way through, sometimes I can't. Green Day are probably one of three bands who write albums I can listen all the way through.
Burge Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I searched, if there's already a topic like it, please close this So, do you like to listen to the albums all the way through, non-stop? I do with all but AI and 21CB. On AI, I always skip Homecoming (that song bugs me >.<) and on 21CB I skip Christian's Inferno (seems like a pointless song to me, I'm sure others will disagree) and See the Light (their weakest song, IMO). Other than that, I can listen to albums all the way through. Your opinions on Green Day from here on in are hereby null and void.
tonda-gossa Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 The only GD album I don't own is 21st Century Breakdown. Not sure why I haven't bought it yet. I love them all, except Kerplunk. I've never really been able to grow attatched to that record. And hey, it's okay to not like some of a bands works; no one is perfect. Otherwise, I have 85% of their music on my iPod.
elisa Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I love listening to albums all the way through. 21st Century Breakdown is pretty long I often run out of time and don't make it to the last song you don't like Homecoming? really? I adore that song.
Smoothed Out Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I feel defeated if I skip a track and don't listen all the way. But it rarely happens because I love my cd collection (god do i love it ) and well depends what mood I'm in to determine the cd/track listings
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I included side projects , so I finished with the Foxies on the bus ride home from the shop. Gonna have to do it again for the next album I think Yeah, well, it just fit perfectly if I didn't include the side projects, and I'm not gonna delay that long-awaited first listen of 21stCB just so I can include the side projects And yeah, gonna do it again for sure for the next album =D
Katarina. Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I included side projects , so I finished with the Foxies on the bus ride home from the shop. Gonna have to do it again for the next album I think Same here! Well, kinda. I listened to every Green Day album in chronological order. Every day another one. So I started with 1,039SOSH, the next day Kerplunk etc. Then I listened and watched Bullet In A Bible, then the other live albums, then The Network and The Foxies the day before the release. And then listening to 21CB on May 15 I think I'll do that again for the next album xD
poisonoak Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 i shall do that with the AI cast album just to get more of the musical feeling
Agija Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I've done it with all of their albums, that's always great. I never skip songs.
Billie's__Babe Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 i listen to the albums i have on my computer(no Kerplunk! or all of 1,039 smso cos my computer dont like em) and usually dose off and find myself listening to some random song.
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 i use to do it when i'm studying for my exams or for a test... i can't concetrate music... my favourite ones are american idiot and warning...
Juliette Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Er, yeah I usuaully do this. I guess that's cause I still listen to CDs
petros Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Yeah I can't listen to Christian's Inferno and see the Light too but wtf Homecoming??It's a very good song..Tre sings in the song...I can't get you :) .Anyway I like listening to the whole albums when I have time...
Maddy. Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I don't like to hear another song after a song from AI or 21stCB. I'm always like "dslfakjlkdf it's supposed to be Holiday now. D:" This is why I hate shuffle. F U I guess that's cause I still listen to CDs Fuck yeah old skoolz.
Harinezumi Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I always listen to albums front to back. Even on my mp3 player. And I rarely skip any songs. I'm weird.
AfterShock Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 Your opinions on Green Day from here on in are hereby null and void. Hm yes just because I don't like one song F U
