Listening to albums all the way through

I like listening to full albums, start to finish. I'm far more likely to replay a particular song a couple of times than I am to skip one. =)

Except I sometimes skip Haushinka on Nimrod.

I've listened to all their albums all the way through and it wasn't so bad. It was kind of like going on a music tour of their career.

you listened to all of their albums all in a row all the way through?!

I usually listen to 12st Century Breakdown and American Idiot all the way through.

IMO I think 21stCB is way more powerful as a how album, rather than individual songs(Although I don't listen to See The Light much :pinch: )

But for the other albums I don't have them in order as they appear on the actual album so I just shuffle them. I love listening to 1039/SOSH and Kerplunk! all the way through. And Insomniac.

It all depends on my moods and if I've listened to an album recently, I choose a different one. :)

Hey, I've done that before! It's awesome! :D

I completely agree with you! I can't generally play individual songs from 21CB especially.

I did that too!

The last time I did that was on Billie Joe's birthday.

I normally listen to American Idiot, Kerplunk, Dookie, Warning and 21st Centruy Breakdown all the way through.

I'll listen to Nimrod straight through but, I'll skip Last Ride In.

and sometimes if I feel like I haven't heard one album in a long time, I'll play that one straight through with no skipping.

Yeah.. the rare time I had all the albums at the same time. Then I started losing them. So I'm rebuilding my collection at the moment. Hopefully I'll have all the cds by Tre's birthday so I can celebrate by listening to them in a row, maybe even watching bullet in a bible. ^^

I will skip some songs sometimes if they're on shuffle, but I love listening to albums the whole way through  Actually, I'm doing so with 1039/smoothed out slappy hours right now

I listened to all their CD's once in chronological order when I was taking really long flight, it was fun to hear the way the albums related to each other.

I listen to all their albums all the way through.

Once I had an exam the next day and I studied sooo much that I listeneed to their entire discography.

damn... how long did it take??

like 6 hours?

usually when i listen to green day, i have like everything on shuffle, so it ends up playing random songs from each album, but yeah i like listening to AI all the way through and also nimrod and 21stCB.

Oh, Homecoming is one of my most favourite GD songs :o

Yeah, I always listen the AI album all the way through.Song by song. It's amazing!

I'm obsessed with listening to albums all the way through! If I'm listening to any album, especially Green Day, then if I have the time to listen from beginning to end I always do. Music is just better that way.

you listened to all of their albums all in a row all the way through?!

 I did that just before 21st Century Breakdown came out. I timed it so I could listen to every Green Day song in chronological order, finishing with buying and listening to the new album. It was cool going on a trip all the way through their career, and it made my first listen of the new album extra enjoyable.

I always listen to 21st century breakdown all the way through but tend to skip a few tracks with the other albums, usually though I listen to my homemade playlist which is a compilation of all the albums.

nah.. i do not listen to the albums all the way through, non-stop. i might skip some of the songs on AI and 21CB depending on my mood!

I listen to Green day's albums all the way through :) But sometimes I might skip Jesus of suburbia or Homecoming, but sometimes. And Dookie is also a great album to listen all the way through too, I mainly listen to albums all the way, it just feels like a journey.

I really used to ONLY listen to them in their full length but lately i really have been only listening to single songs......i should listen to a whole album again

For the most part I really just listen to them all, all the way through. I love all Green Day songs more or less, but sometimes I turn off the stereo before the last songs on certain records. Those songs are I Want To Be Alone, the last four songs on Kerplunk and See the Light (I just don't like the chorus of that song :ninja: ). I Want To Be On TV is however also a song I skip sometimes. Even Last Ride In and Espionage.

That was quite a bit actually... But yeah, normally I don't skip anything. When I put a record on, it's almost always to listen to it all the way through. And Dookie is the one album on which I've never ever skipped a song.

Oh, and I'm also one of those freaks who have listened to their whole discography at once. Quite a few times.

Most of the time I listen to live shows. They're just so much better than the albums and I don't have a problem with skipping tracks because everything's just epic.

Nimrod, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are the ones I love listening to all the way through. No bad songs, all of them are so amazing  (expect "Last Right In" maybe ^^) :)

Most of the time I dont really tend to skip any songs but sometimes i depending on my mood lol. Mainly I listen to Warning, Nimrod, AI and 21CB the whole way.

I usually listen to most of the albums all the way through, like AI, 21CB, Warning, Nimrod, and Dookie.

As for the rest of the albums, I might skip like 2 or 3 songs.

I pretty much always listen to Green Day albums all the way through. I just love listening to the songs like that

I'm more inclined to just put Green Day on shuffle and play all their songs randomly. Although sometimes I like a bit of continuity and I'll listen to each album in its entirety.

I feel the same.

Although I usually let one of their cd's run straight through when I'm driving around.

Haha, I did that too  and then when I walked out of the store Whatsername ended (oh well, that means I still timed it pretty well, I only was 2-3 minutes off), so I had to figure something out till I got home (ended up with Too Much Too Soon. Which is technically AI too and an awesome song, so no complaints from me =D).

Anyway, I sometimes listen the whole album, sometimes I just put it on shuffle, it depends on what I'm doing and how much time I have. When I'm on my way to school or something, or doing homework, I put it on shuffle because it's just to have some nice background music/noise (usually I just put my whole iPod on shuffle, though. Only sometimes only Green Day shuffle). When I'm really listening music, I usually listen the whole album. When I listen the whole album, I never skip songs, even if I don't like them a whole lot. (well, sometimes I skip the last four songs from Kerplunk, I'm not a huge fan of Sweet Children, Best Thing In Town and Strangeland, but I don't wanna skip songs and then move on so I just skip My Generation too, or I listen all of it.)
