XBlade1X Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I think you didn't get my point. I'm not talking about Green Day playing the song live. I'm talking about the video game. What I meant is this: You play Rock Band with 4 players: Player A: Vocals Player B: Drums Player C: Guitar Player D: Bass So, If you choose to play Good Riddance how do you play it: Guitar and Vocals. What about Drums and Bass? They figured out a way.. just like they somehow figured out a way for Song of the Century
ShadowWolf Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 No Castaway or King for a Day makes me sad. I was hoping to play blood, Sex, and Booze as well. Still, I mean, it's an alright setlist. You have to realize that this really isn't just meant for die-hard GD fans like ourselves, so it's a little tougher to include songs that may not be as popular, or well known.
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 So much for their "Entire Career" I was so looking forward to playing Dominated Love Slave as well... This.
Wolfdemon Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Honestly I'd like it better if more Nimrod and Insomniac songs were involved.. Insomniac's my favorite album and it's a shame to see so little of it. I would love to play Stuart and the Avenue, 86, Tight Wad Hill, or Stuck With Me just to name a few. And I wish they had included Uptight, Scattered, Jinx/Haushinka, or Worry Rock for Nimrod. Though I am excited for Homecoming and Jesus of Suburbia.
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Major fail? thats not true, it looks like its going to be a Major Win to me, The setlist is fine, although it could have been better its still great, and as for the Megadeth thing, I wouldn't have bought it and it wouldn't be better to me. Green Day Rock band is going to be great, And even better for the fans. Wow.. you took the words right out of my mouth. Sure the setlist could be edited a bit but I'm just relieved it's being done!!! Probably the only 360 game I'll be spending money to get some DLC on!
A_Green_Cure Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 They figured out a way.. just like they somehow figured out a way for Song of the Century Well, like it was discussed here, Song of the Century might be together with 21st Century Breakdown, like an intro. You know that Good Riddance is a complete song with instruments, Guitars, violins, etc. Song of the Century is a Capella = sung alone, without music. Wow.. you took the words right out of my mouth. Sure the setlist could be edited a bit but I'm just relieved it's being done!!! Probably the only 360 game I'll be spending money to get some DLC on! I'm with You. This might be the only time I will spend money to buy DLC.
leacalifornia Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 They figured out a way.. just like they somehow figured out a way for Song of the Century haha I never thought of that... maybe they just attached Song of the Century with 21st Century Breakdown?? I dont know... thats how I would've done it anyway... since Song of the Century is like 15 seconds long anyway... nevermind... Well, like it was discussed here, Song of the Century might be together with 21st Century Breakdown, like an intro. I should start actually reading the threads...
The Breakdown Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Dookie would be awesome to play on Rock Band. If only 1039 and Kerplunk made it on. Dry Ice would be awesome to play.
SynthwaveTrooper Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Major fail? thats not true, it looks like its going to be a Major Win to me, The setlist is fine, although it could have been better its still great, and as for the Megadeth thing, I wouldn't have bought it and it wouldn't be better to me. Green Day Rock band is going to be great, And even better for the fans. Its a major fail cause there is no DLC. The only Good thing about it is Dookie and the Few songs off Nimrod & Insomoniac. I want all of whats on and Nimrod and Insomniac, i also wanted 1,039 smooth and Kerplunk. And again for Megadeth.. you may not like it or buy it... but it would be a massive hit for RockBand franchise. Hardcore RB players love a challenge
Rock-man Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Maybe they will do what they are doing with Beatles Rock Band and release full albums of Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning as DLC in the future I sincerely do hope so. That would be awesome. And I would pay for that. And pls pls, if possible, DLC 39/Smooth, Kerplunk! and Shenanigans too. We need all that good music on our games. But anyways, great that GD got this game. I prefer GD over Beatles, Metallica, Aerosmith or Van Halen. I have all these games but Rock Band Green Day is the one that I am waiting. -R-And by the way - Rock Band Ramones........ AWESOME! (if it was evar made....)
Hanna__ Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 No Castaway or King for a Day makes me sad. I was hoping to play blood, Sex, and Booze as well. Still, I mean, it's an alright setlist. Hanner Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 my excitement for this game has gone way wayy down. really dont like the setlist.
green day is Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I love it ^-^ I would've hoped to see more Tré Songs, though.... Meh :\
StateOfGrace Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I was hoping for King For a Day But I can't wait to do Homecoming! I'm so glad they have all of AI because I love every single song on it.
petros Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I also wanted some older songs but it's OK I like that it's the whole American Idiot and 21CB...
JonnieSniper Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Im really excited for this game. Yeah I know it doesn't include much of their old stuff, but come on. The whole dookie album, you can't really go wrong with that. Everytime I listen to Green Day on my ipod, I imagine playing it on Rockband hah. Like I cant wait to play the bass on Longview, the guitar to jesus of suburbia etc etc It's just gonna be a hell of a fun game to play and thats all that matters. Btw, does anyone know if xbox Guitar Hero drums will work on Green Day rockband? Or am I best off just getting Rockband drums? I don't have guitar hero drums anyway, but I was wondering which drumkit to get for the xbox.
Homicidal_llama Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I disagree quite a bit with the choices. I can understand full American Idiot but full Dookie and 21st Century BD? Dookie has some awesome tracks, some really, really awesome tracks but the majority are just strummers and wouldn't work so well on a game like this. Personally if I worked on the game it would have gone more like this; 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours At the Library Disappearing Boy Going to Pasalacqua Why Do You Want Him? Kerplunk! 2000 Light Years Away One for the Razorbacks Christie Road No One Knows Dookie Burnout Longview Welcome to Paradise Basket Case She When I Come Around F.O.D Insomniac Armatage Shanks Geek Stink Breath 86 Brainstew/Jaded Walking Contradiction Nimrod Hitchin' a Ride Scattered King for a Day Good Riddance Prosthetic Head Warning Warning Blood, Sex and Booze Castaway Minority Shenanigans Ha Ha You're Dead American Idiot (Full Album) 13 Tracks 21st Century Breakdown 21st Century Breakdown Murder City Horseshoes & Handgrenades The Static Age 21 Guns (DLC) Christian's Inferno (DLC) East Jesus Nowhere (DLC) Know Your Enemy (DLC) Last of the American Girls (DLC) ¡Viva La Gloria! (DLC) There. Exactly 47 tracks not including the DLCs. That way it appeals to the hardcore fans and just the casual Green Day fans. It's a bit annoying that there are only three venues as well. In read somewhere that they found it hard to simulate Woodstock but I reckon they should have put it in as well.
Samantha Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 What the actual fuck ? I was hoping for some non-single, slightly obscure songs to be on the setlist And no pre-Dookie ? Such a fail Nontheless, still excited to stay up all night playing
Homicidal_llama Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Nontheless, still excited to stay up all night playing Here, here. I guess at the end of the day I'm just glad to have a Green Day rock band based game.
