Jammin' Honkey Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 How awesome would it have been to play Panic Song on Rock Band Drums? I guess it's possible they might release some other tracks you can buy after the game's first initial release. One can only hope. I know they're proud of 21st Century Breakdown as a whole, but some of those songs could've been easily replaced with more fan favorite old ones.
Maddy. Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I think we pretty much all thought that Wembley would be included but i dont think that was possible as Wembley is a football (soccer) stadium and as far as i am aware it is EA Sports that own the rights to using the stadium in games like FIFA so i dont think any other brand of EA could use it They just haven't played there yet.
Jaymee!! Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I would never've thought Wembley to be on there, but I was expecting Gilman to be.
Hermione Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Looking at the setlist anyone would think Green Day have only had 3 successful albums and the rest were absolute crap that totally failed. Very disappointing. I can understand the first two being overlooked (just about), although even that seems very silly when there's so many great guitar solos on them. But although Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning didn't have the same HUGE success as the others they were still successful, popular, critically acclaimed albums. I know it's only a game but I really find it an insult to Green Day that they're pretending those albums are the only decent things they've done. Having this "Warehouse", a little tiny club venue, for DOOKIE is absolutely ridiculous! Dookie was played in huge stadiums, that venue should be for their earlier work. It gives a false impression of Green Day. It's embarrassing.
SlappyDJ1 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Hopefully there will be some older stuff If the make any DLCs.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 There is a few reasons that I came up with why these albums are not in the game. 1. The quality of the recordings is not the best. 2. There may not be actual multi tracks to these albums anymore since they were not signed to Warner at this time so they could have been lost. 3. Most people do not know about these albums / know any songs off of them. Not sure if any of those are the real reasons, but those are just some ideas. Only reason 2 is a valid reason, to me at least. That they're not great quality isn't disastrous, I'm sure people could live with it and it's not terrible or anything, and that not many people know the albums is a bullshit reason because there's nothing wrong with learning new songs through games like this, it's even part of the fun for me (not in the case of Green Day RB, though, obviously), and it's not like songs like Emenius Sleepus or something are so widely known.... Looking at the setlist anyone would think Green Day have only had 3 successful albums and the rest were absolute crap that totally failed. Very disappointing. I can understand the first two being overlooked (just about), although even that seems very silly when there's so many great guitar solos on them. LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 As for the DLC matter, they already have plenty of dlc that goes for all kinds of rock band. I don't know if it's on the wii but it's definitely on the 360 and ps3. So if you have those consoles, you already have a lot of dlc to get to make the game even better. Hopefully they'll add more older songs to the list but I still say this is a pretty decent setlist and it's going to be fun to play.
ProstheticHeads Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 The setlist is alright...I'm disappointed Good Riddance is on the game, it'l get so boring so fast... I honestly don't really care for the venues that much, I'm more into what songs they use. I wouldve liked Platypus on it but its language wouldnt give it justice. And JAR would be so fun too...
E!!i Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I think the list is good but better would be all albums for sure
Hermione Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I think I'd enjoy playing any selection of Green Day songs and I'm going to enjoy the game very much whatever the setlist. It's more the impression of Green Day this gives out that bothers me. People are going to hear about and play this game and have an inaccurate impression of the band and their history. They're going to have the impression that Green Day only ever made 3 decent albums. I feel like it cheapens the band and doesn't do them justice.
matteo263 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 i really cannot complain about the setlist. more about the venues actually
Kayfabe Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Gahh I don't know how to vote in the poll. I mean, it's okay, iunno. I wouldve liked Platypus on it but its language wouldnt give it justice. they'd literally have to skip the interlude
idc Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 i>'m reeeaally pissed we won't get ... 86, uptight and especially scattered ...
Micky Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 they'd literally have to skip the interlude instead of Platypus, they could have added Take Back then
idc Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Having this "Warehouse", a little tiny club venue, for DOOKIE is absolutely ridiculous! Dookie was played in huge stadiums, that venue should be for their earlier work. It gives a false impression of Green Day. It's embarrassing. this is so true! i woodstock would have been great for dookie
-Billiejoezee- Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Loving the whole dookie part... Whole AI? should have taken out some. NO Kerplunk and NO 1039? No. hardly ANY off of nimrod and insomniac? No. No misery or some off of warning? No they took off most of the good 21st CB songs? No.
Tubbie Head Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I'M LIKE SO MAD WHERE IS THEIR ENTIRE CAREER? I don't see it  This setlist is so stupid, why to include the whole Dookie? and AI (well that I'm happy about, but didn't expected).. I love all the songs, but I don't think that's right! I can't believe how they accepted it! And the venues! WTF? I'm so disappointed no Kerplunk  A positive thing... I'm happy that Peacemaker is going to be there
AfterShock Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'd rather have all of Warning or Insomniac than AI. Personally, I don't think there should be any full albums.
basketcase33 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 i actually liked all the songs that were on the list
SynthwaveTrooper Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 All songs from past albums will be downloadable packs, this bs how its gonna go.... and how do I know this? I am a pro gamer and I know how the industry works
saraHsunshine Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 If only they were not out to make $$$$ for the company...
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I do wish they'd have more song but to anyone's complaining, at least we GET the game. Sure, we won't get as many songs as we'd like and some can't afford DLC and the game. But the idea that someone has listened and said, "yeah.. we should make a green day rock band" is perfect!
Greenday_Aussie Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Wouldnt it had been nice if GD re-recorded some songs from 39 and Kerplunk for this...
misslyssx Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I really wasn't expecting a better list than this. I'm just happy they're making a game so I won't complain EDIT: I may have to complain now because I just realized it's not even all of 21BC.
A_Green_Cure Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 And well, How the hell is the whole Band supposed to play Good Riddance? Maybe just harmonic parts, but there's none. Billie sings alone this one.
