Luci_Minority Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 My two favourites bands!! But I don't like this
Perenpoep Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 My two favorite bands of all time...but this just don't seem to fit together.
lovelyrita Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 It's in the completely wrong key. This, you can hear it for example in 00:13. I don't like it at all.
Hermione Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 It's in the completely wrong key. Yeah this. Shame because Green Day and Muse are my two favourite bands so putting them together could be orgasmic. I'd love to hear two better suited songs by the two bands put together well.
AfterShock Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Ew. Has anyone heard this one? Green Day/Beatles
04rebhop Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Green Day and Muse are my two favourite bands, but i really think Muse and Green Day don't sound right together.
Hermione Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Ew. Has anyone heard this one? Green Day/Beatles That sounded OK but mostly just because I like Eleanor Rigby. Brain Stew's just hidden in the background really. Maybe if they'd used a different Green Day song it'd be better, I've heard SO many mashups with Brain Stew. Even Brain Stew/Soulja Boy

Joy of suburbia. Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I've heard SO many mashups with Brain Stew. Even Brain Stew/Soulja Boy omg...I just listened to it and my mouth was like this This is a mash up with the band that I love and this rapper that I hate with a passion. I'm shocked to say that I think it's okay...it's not bad and it's not good either. It made me chuckle.
Alan86 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 It was a good effort but both songs are better on their own in my opinion
Heidi Holiday Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 I love how this evolved into a Green Day mashup thread.I actually rather like the Soulja Boy/ Brain Stew mashup Yeah this. Shame because Green Day and Muse are my two favourite bands so putting them together could be orgasmic. I'd love to hear two better suited songs by the two bands put together well. Completely agreed. I was let down by this mashup. BUT, there will always be other songs...
The Breakdown Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I love how this evolved into a Green Day mashup thread. I actually rather like the Soulja Boy/ Brain Stew mashup Double this.
showbiz Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Oh lawd. I made this. I'm well aware of how awful it is. I know, it's pretty embarrassing. It was my first mashup, it wasn't meant to be perfect. I just wanted to see how it'd come out, and it obviously wasn't too great. My friends wanted to hear it, hence the YouTube upload. I'm sorry if I ruined the songs for anyone. Hopefully that won't matter much though because LOTAG and Starlight definitely aren't two of my favorite songs from my two favorite bands.
mallorymaloney Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I can't decide if I hate it or like it, haha ... Although I've never heard Starlight on its own before. Actually, I don't think I've ever listened to a Muse song before.

Oh man, now I feel bad for "outing" you now that I know you're a GDCer...it's just weird that I heard via someone else about the mashup before you finished it?
valeria carci Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 i didn't like it but i love both bands so much they're just very different

Don't feel bad, I don't really care about all the bad comments on it tbh. It's not like I poured my heart and soul into it or thought it was a masterpiece. xD I really don't know how that happened, unless you're mistaking me for someone else. I literally got the idea while looking through my folders of split tracks one day and put it together in about 20-30 minutes (a pretty half-assed job).

I've always wanted to take a stab at mashup myself, but I don't exactly have access to the technology to do it at the moment... Also, I wonder if another LOTAG/Starlight mashup exists in that case. Though neither of those songs from both of those bands are my fave either, I'm just trying to figure out how I vaguely heard about the project beforehand. Either way, I love the possibilities of the mashup genre, even if the copyright issues exist.
Jacob. Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I saw this on Youtube before, i don't think its very good.
