I've seen them once, last year, in October. As much as it sounds cliché, it really was the best night of my life so far. Really overwhelming. It was totally worth the 4 years of waiting.

I've seen them once at the o2 during Rocktober. It took me 13 years to see them that one time. I'm going to see them again in June at Wembley - can't wait.

I saw them a few times and met them. I met them at their c.d. signing in NY. I saw them once at the Bowery Ballroom in NY, then at The Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh (met them), and finally at the American Idiot soundcheck for the play and met them again and I think I died all those days and came back lmao. Saw them last year in Birmingham, October 28th. The greatest day of my life. I may have been at the far back. But i was lucky to have got there.

My story:

On the 27th October 2009, I was walking up to the bus after school and my phone started to ring. I looked to see who it was "mummyyyy!" it said. I answered. My mum suddenly said "Do you want to see Green Day tomorrow?", so i said "Obviously.. why? " my mum replied saying, "because theres three spare tickets and your dads working hard to get them!" i was speechless for a moment, then i screamed "AHHHH!! YES YES YES!"

I got home and there was my dad sorting everything out on the computor. His famous frown on his forehead. I was just standing there, waiting. Untill. "Alice, find a friend to go with. Because you're going!!" my mum peered round the corner telling me with a great smile. I asked everyone, but no one could go because it was a school night. I had decided to let my little brother go with me and my dad. .

Wednesday 28th October 2009, i got off the school bus looking upset. My friends asking me what was wrong. I all of a sudden screamed with excitement! Everyone around me, looking confused.

I'd waited untill the afternoon to tell anyone, once i did. Nobody was really bothered. I'd felt excluded from everyone once i'd told them. I wasn't really bothered about them. I was too excited for the evening.

I got home, dad was cooking a quick meal. I ran upstairs to get dressed, and did a quick straighten with the hair. Got in the car. Ate our food. Picked my sister and her friend up as they were waiting for this day for five months. We were driving to the NEC and within about 25-35 minutes, we were there. It was about, 4:30 when we got there so we had to wat for 2 hours before the doors opened.

6:30. Doors opened everyone in a rush to get in. My sister in a separate line because she was standing. We got to our seats. My dad rang my sister and told her to wave, and so she did. She was RIGHT at the catwalk. I didn't care where she was there. That was the main thing.

THE SHOW WAS AMAZING! <3

My sister got the halo, headband Billie threw into the crowd, she fought two girld for it. In the end she pushed them and told them "Fuck off, it's mine bitch" obviously so desparate for it, like i'd be, and now it sits on our bedroom mirror.

I saw them July 24th, 2009 for the first time... the first longest show with the rarest songs at the time I do wrote an experience of the day but it's super long but it was such an amazing day... I got there at 6am
