NoVaCaInE! Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I always wanted to try out the end of the catwalk for a show but tbh Mike's corner/side is the best I actually couldnt imagine not being at that side for a Green Day show now
Adeline.Hearts.You Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Depends on the show ! The catwalk end is cool, but i heard you cant always see everything :/
Tubbie Head Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I think the perfect spot has to be the end of the catwalk, so close to Billie, and you can see all of them! (but not always), actually I was more concentrated in Billie, since he was just THERE... But if you're very tiny, it's a big problem, since everyone will be pushing hard to get that spot, and you can't fight back, that way the concert isn't enjoyable at all.. I had to leave after 3 songs.. So, I think next concert I will just go to the balconies, I hate being like this =(
Nomis Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Neither, Somewhere around the middle of the arena/stadium. Usually sound desk area, better overall view, better sound acoustics. Must be old age setting in.
Rachel Nimrod Armstrong Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 End of the catwalk cause you could get an awesome view
jensername Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 That's a hard decision!!! There's pros and cons to both. Catwalk pros: having the chance of touching Billie's hand and getting being really close to him! And having a better chance of getting pulled on on stage! Catwalk cons: being too far from Billie when he leaves the catwalk Edge of stage pros: having the chance of being close to Green Day the majority of the show! Edge of stage cons: having pretty much no chance in hell of touching Billie's hand.. and getting to see all those lucky bastards reach out to him So the pros and cons are a bit reversed in comparison. For a Green Day concert, I'd probably choose to go in front of the Catwalk though. That's where Billie usually goes to pull people up on stage. I would do anything for that chance. And of course, It's awesome when he reaches out to people. Another chance I would not want to pass up.
pasalaska Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 close to the stage... or sidestge. I'm not picky
Princess Consuela Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I've always stood at the end of the catwalk and it was well worth it, even just for being right in front of Billie during the encores. But I want to try Mike's corner next time to see if it's really better as some of you guys say
Slappy. Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 End of catwalk, it's my ultimate aim to get there one day
Alan86 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Edge of the stage! I've been at the edge stage on Mikes side on 3 occasions and at the catwalk once. I much preferred being at edge of the stage. I didn't like the catwalk that much at all.
Undómiel Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Been at the edge of the stage twice and it was completely awesome... doesn't more crushing go on near the catwalk? Not that I didn't get crushed enough next to the barrier..
E!!i Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 end of the catwalk but in Mainz I was at the side of the catwalk and it was even better I would say
The Platypus! Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 end of the catwalk because Billie seems to spend most of his time there.
Isabel Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 After 10 shows I would still say Mike's corner
ThisIsNotNora Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I am just happy for being at the concert But I think in the corner would be a good place to be
Holly Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Hommm, in Birmingham I was one person off the end of the catwalk and then I got dragged so far back after feeling a bit like I was dying that I regretted not going for closer to the stage because then I would'nt have been dragged so far back. That was, however, my first proper rock gig and I didn't know how to survive very well Manchester I ended up on the barrier over Mike's side and found it suprisingly calm. And didn't really like it as much because the atmosphere just wasn't the same as when you're in the thick of it clinging on for dear life.. Obviously it was still absolutely amazing, front row of a Green Day concert and all that Wembley was absolutely perfect. I was on the barrier on the side of the catwalk towards the end. Just, arghh, can't imagine it any better. Maybe on the very end of the catwalk could top it? But there was no way of getting those places, especially when there is early entry so people are already in there! I just can't believe how lucky I was at Wembley. I cried when I got my spot on the barrier. Next tour I'd like to try it in the corner of the catwalk/stage cause I think that would be a great place to be. But bleh, wherever you are it is just the best thing in the world. Ever. God, I miss them
iwroteholdencaulfield! Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 i dont care, a Green Day concert is a Green Day concert.
The Novocaine Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 The Edge of the stage seems like it would be easier to perform to the audience, but that's just me!
Leisha-LUNA Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 mike's corner mike's corner mike's corner mike's corner. Never tried runway. Never want to. I considered it once, and everyone was like NO, you'd be too far away from Mike, and you wouldn't be able to handle it.
kerplunk_chick Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 i was to the side of the catwalk, but i would rather be at the end of it, dead on.
